About: Fur friends are enjoyable to be around, whether they are my pets or yours. When I am caring for pets, I am especially aware of their individual needs, their body language and their need for physical activity. My pets can tell me through their body language when they have had a good or bad sitter experience. When I care for your pets, I want your fur family to tell you that they had a good sitter experience. Happy wags and meows! During the week, I work from home but I have flexibility to drop in to check on your pets. I am also able to take them on walks or run around the back yard, if that is what they need. My desire is to provide a safe environment for your fur family when you are unavailable to care for them. I am trustworthy and intend to demonstrate that character trait to you. I treat others the way I want to be treated, including pets.

“If you have cats (and I'm sure it applies to dogs), I don't know that you'll find a better pet sitter than Allison. I have had multiple cat sitters over the years and no one comes close. Allison came by beforehand and took nearly an hour just to get to know the cats and their habits, likes, dislikes, routine, etc. Allison was incredibly communicative before, during, and after her visits. She sent lots of pictures and kept me in the loop on what was going on. She is one of the few sitters that has sent me pictures of the cats not just hiding or under the bed. She actually got the cats to come out and sit with her - which is something I don't think a lot of other cat sitters even bother to do. It was wonderful being able to travel without worrying about the cats and knowing they were in good hands. I cannot recommend Allison enough. She's a great choice for pet parents and pets. 20/10 and would urge people to use her not just for their own sanity, but for their cats.”

About: Growing up I've always had a passionate and genuine care for all manner of animals. Through my experience I have been able to adapt to each respective animals own routine and needs. With caring for you pet, I make it my commitment to give them my undivided attention while ensuring they have a great experience with me! My rescue dog, Orville, has taught me the value of meeting dogs where they are, whether they need extra reassurance, structure, playtime, or simply a calm companion. I have always enjoyed helping friends, family, and neighbors by caring for their pets. While I have not provided pet care professionally before or through a platform like Rover, I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for animals and understanding their needs. My experience may not be formally documented, but it comes from years of genuine care, responsibility, and love for all animals. I pride myself on being dependable, attentive, and communicative. Your pet will be treated with the same care, respect, and affection I give my own. Thursday through Saturday, I have flexible availability and can provide care throughout the day. I currently work four days a week until 3 PM, so Sunday through Wednesday I'm available after 3 PM. I am happy to work with your pet’s schedule and routine! I love spending time in my own backyard, but I also enjoy exploring new places! My pup loves adventures, so we often visit on-leash parks for walks, fresh air, and new experiences. I enjoy giving dogs opportunities to safely explore, get exercise, and enjoy the world around them while always keeping their comfort and safety a priority. Play is a constant in our household! I believe playtime is about more than just fetch. I enjoy incorporating scent games, enrichment activities, and mentally stimulating games into a dog’s routine to help keep them happy and engaged (esp. if it's extremely hot or rainy)!

About: I have taken care of dogs (and cats) since I was a teenager. I am thinking about moving my life again so am waiting for my next pet. I have had pets all my life. In the mean time I would love to make yours my own when they need a part time friend. I have recently moved back to Jacksonville and am not working at the moment. I am available when you and yours need me. I miss having a pet and really enjoy taking care of others. Recently I was living with my son and his family. I was in charge of their dog as well as meals. I am a retired chef and willing to cook for your family also. I try to spend as much time with the pets as possible. I constantly check food and water. Worst thing ever to run out or not get feed at the right time. I also ask lots of questions so that I am prepared for anything that might arise.
