“Laura watched my four year old foxhound, Piper over Spring Break. Piper was homesick at first but Laura took special care to help her get adjusted. (She sent me pictures of my 45 lb dog sitting on her lap!) Laura was very communicative sending daily texts, photos, and videos. Piper looked so cute in her St. Patty’s Day scarf she provided. The dogs were very relaxed and were having a good time. Also, her house is away from a busy road for dog walk safety. Laura even made the extra effort to wash Piper’s dog bed before she went home. I highly recommend Laura! She is very caring and attentive.”

About: I have 20+ years experience pet sitting dogs and cats, open to birds and rabbits too! I am a loving mother to my human, 1 pup, a senior rabbit and bird. I’m available for walks, stays and am great at giving meds if needed (my dog hates taking anything!) I am self employed with a flexible schedule. I work away from home but I am able to break when needed and have the time to have quality, fun visits! A little bit about my pets…. I have a 2 year old poodle mix “Paisley” that joins me at work when the setting is conducive! She plays well with all dogs and can out run anyone on the beach! We love our beach walks. Paisley and my rabbit are best friends and they spend the majority of time lounging together waiting for treats. My rabbit is free range when I’m home and caged when I’m away. My pet bird is in a large flight cage with a lot of time out of the cage. It’s important that my pets are happy! I extend that same love and enthusiasm for your pets! I believe dogs need proper exercise and a lot of love and affection! I love sending pics so you feel connected to your fur baby and updates on their day. I am happy to provide references!

As a dog owner, I know the importance of patience, trust-building, and creating a safe environment where pets feel comfortable and loved. My rescue dog, Orville, has taught me the value of meeting dogs where they are, whether they need extra reassurance, structure, playtime, or simply a calm companion. I take the time to learn each pet’s habits and preferences so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free while their family is away. I have always enjoyed helping friends, family, and neighbors by caring for their pets. While I have not provided pet care professionally before or through a platform like Rover, I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for animals and understanding their needs. My experience may not be formally documented, but it comes from years of genuine care, responsibility, and love for all animals. I pride myself on being dependable, attentive, and communicative. Your pet will be treated with the same care, respect, and affection I give my own. Thursday through Saturday, I have flexible availability and can provide care throughout the day. I currently work four days a week until 3 PM, so Sunday through Wednesday I'm available after 3 PM. I am happy to work with your pet’s schedule and routine! I love spending time in my own backyard, but I also enjoy exploring new places! My pup loves adventures, so we often visit on-leash parks for walks, fresh air, and new experiences. I enjoy giving dogs opportunities to safely explore, get exercise, and enjoy the world around them while always keeping their comfort and safety a priority. Play is a constant in our household! I believe playtime is about more than just fetch. I enjoy incorporating scent games, enrichment activities, and mentally stimulating games into a dog’s routine to help keep them happy and engaged (esp. if it's extremely hot or rainy)!
