This was my 1st time using Rover, I have used Trusted Housesitter in the past. Heidi was great on our meet and greet, organized and taking notes. I am not a fan of last minute surprises after agreements and confirmations are made, especially if they come after we have left town. At that point what are your options, try to find a last minute sitter, cancel, or come home. 2 days before the sit started I received a text and had to make arrangements for daycare to be used 1 day of the sit, otherwise my fur baby was going to be left alone off and on multiple times during the day. So on top of hiring and paying for Rover, I also paid for a day of daycare. She said that other than this day she would be here pretty much 24/7, this turned out to be not true. Received another surprise request after we had left town. Not that the request was a big deal but it was something that was discussed prior to the sit and changed after the sit started. During the meet and greet Heidi ask about updates and pics. I, of course, said yes, please. I got 1 pic of each pet during the sit and hardly any updates. My son also used Rover, in another state, and his phone was blowing up with pictures and info constantly during our vacation. She was very prompt in responding to me but I should not have had to “check in” every day and ask how things were going. The food bowl for our outside cat was covered in ants when we arrived home . I make sure this entire house is clean when we leave and having a golden retriever I run the vacuum everyday. I made sure she knew where the vacuum was but it was not used. I did not ask her to vacuum but assumed that would be a given with the hair that goldens shed. My golden swims in the pool and due to the chlorine it’s important that she receives conditioner and sprayed off after she swims. The conditioner does not appear to have been used, she definitely was not her soft, good smelling girl I left. I’m not sure if she was even rinsed off after getting out of the pool. Heidi was great on texting us to let us know the pool pump was not running after a short power outage and followed instructions to get it going again. That was much appreciated. I would have appreciated better communication regarding the pets and keeping with the arrangements confirmed for the sit.

Heidi was a wonderful sitter for our sweet pup. She communicated well and gave us all the updates. She took care of our home and was so patient as we worked through some issues with our air conditioner as well. We would let her puppy sit again and again(:

This was my second time having Lola stay with Heidi and she was great just like the first time. She's very communicative and kept me updated with photos of Lola during her stay. Absolutely recommend her.

Dolce came home exhausted, which means she had a blast playing with all the other dogs!

Returning client. Again had a great experience. Quick communication and great care of the pup🐾
