“Melony was perhaps the best sitter I have hired. She was super responsive anytime I contacted her. She went above and beyond in her duties, even taking out the trash and ensuring everything was tidy before we returned. She was patient and kind to our less than friendly cat and never lost hope that they will eventually become friends, while also respecting her boundaries. I will absolutely be a return customer.”

“Zach was an outstanding sitter for my two cats. Although they are very shy one started to warm up to him by the end of the week! Zach even swept up the litter that they tracked on the floor. Will book again!”

“Rachael is fantastic. She took wonderful care of my dog Riggs and kept me in the loop the entire time. Professional, trustworthy, and a true animal lover. I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and genuinely love spending time with them, especially dogs and cats. I also have a very flexible schedule, so I’m able to give pets plenty of attention and consistency throughout the day. I’m comfortable with dogs of most sizes and energy levels, as well as cats, kittens, and puppies! Whether your pet is super energetic or more shy and relaxed, I’m happy to work with their routine and make sure they feel happy and comfortable while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets! Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in, or just some attention during the day, I’m happy to help! I don’t care for pets in my own home, but I’m very respectful and reliable when it comes to caring for pets in their own space. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, make sure everything is secure before I leave, and give plenty of attention and care during my visit! I want your pets to feel safe and comfortable while you’re away.
“Bruce was able to help us with walking and feeding our dog Bergie on short notice. He took great care of him (we’ve never left him with someone other than family) and Bergie loved him. I appreciate how communicative Bruce was and that he gave Bergie lots of attention and exercise.”

About: I've grew up with dogs and have been responsible for taking care of them, including feeding, walking/running & playing/taking outside, bathing, and more. I have experience giving older dogs medicine, both orally and injections (especially insulin for diabetic dogs). One of my dogs developed hip dysplasia and cancer at her older age, so I am experienced with caring for senior dogs in need of extra attention. Additionally, I often pet sit for family and friends and am trusted to ensure not only their basic needs are met (clean water, food, bathroom breaks/walks), but also they receive attention and affection while their owners are away. I'm currently home for the summer as a college student and I'm unable to get a job with a set schedule because I have surgery coming up which takes a huge chunk out of my summer but I'm available for the entirety of June and first week of July. I can basically be free whenever needed, weekdays and weekends! Since I have cats at my house, I don't care for client's pets in my own home to minimize conflict. In clients homes I follow whatever rules laid out for their animals, ensuring they're fed at the proper intervals, always have clean water (and litter boxes if used). If applicable, I like to go outside with the pets to play with them and make sure they get needed stimulation. I take them on walks (and of course clean up after them), and runs when applicable. I also like to make sure the animals get lots affection (as long as approved by their owners) to make sure they're not lonely while away!

About: My friends, family, and many others have given me opportunities to care for their puppies and dogs! The owners and dogs are always left very happy! I’m currently on summer break from my teaching job. My schedule is very open and flexible to whatever you may need! I love going for walks and hikes and would love a buddy to come with me. I do not have any other pets or children living in my home. My complex is very safe to walk in and I have an awesome hiking trail right next to my place!
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, growing up with pets and continuing that today with animals of my own. That experience has helped me understand different personalities, energy levels, and the importance of consistency and routine—especially when it comes to dogs and their daily walks. As a full-time art teacher, I’m used to being dependable, attentive, and organized, and I bring that same level of responsibility to every walk. Whether your dog needs a quick outing or a longer walk to burn off energy, I’ll treat them with the same care, patience, and respect that I give my own pets, making sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for. As a full time teacher, I am usually home by 3pm and off on the weekends. I am available for afternoon and evening care as well as weekends. During July and August my schedule is far more flexible and would be available at all times of the day, 7 days a week. When caring for pets in a client’s home, the goal is to keep their routine as normal, calm, and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, medication needs, and any specific habits or preferences the pet is used to. I treat every home with respect by keeping things clean, secure, and exactly as I found them. As a full-time art teacher, being responsible, organized, and trustworthy is a big part of my daily life, and I bring that same mindset into every pet sitting visit.
“Jen took amazing care of our cat Kirby. He can be a little rambunctious and needy and she made he got his prescription food everyday at the right times. We were thrilled with Jens care and kindness.”

About: I have had dogs and cats ever since I can remember. Since I was a kid, I have always taken care of them- making sure they are well-fed always, groomed, happy, and healthy! I currently have a really flexible schedule because I’m home from school and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets! I’m available for overnight stay, drop-ins walks, and daytime care throughout most weekdays and weekends! Your pets safety and comfort are always my top priority! I have a loving dog and 2 kitties at home to keep them comfortable, but if they are more shy I have a large yard I can take them on walks and play in, and can house them in my large bedroom and make sure they are extremely comfortable!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Beacon Falls
Laura did a fantastic job dropping in our two pups! We came home to find our guys sleeping contently after her visit. They were fed, walked, and received a bunch of loving attention during Laura’s visit. No wonder that we came home to a couple of peaceful, sleeping pups who got all their needs taken care of for the day. Thanks so much Laura!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
