I love spending all day with my pets and I’d love to be able to care for yours too! I work from home so I can be available almost at any time, any day of the week. Also, rover doesn’t allow me to differentiate service radius between house sitting and drop-ins; hence, if a drop-in request is beyond 13 miles, the mileage and gas isn’t compensated by my drop-in fee. I showed AKC confirmation from 1994-2014; managed a 50-dog kennel in the 90s; and also have 13 years as a legal secretary. In my youth, I showed horses and French lop rabbits. I showed, trained and bred top winning American Stafforshire Terriers and Chesapeake bay retrievers. I did 22 AKC champions. Available days and/or nights. I am retired and have time available. Happy to pop in for check ups, walks, feeding as well as spending nights and taking care of your home. I care for any pet in accordance to the guardians exact wishes. About: Hi my name is Miriam! I love animals from dogs to cats to snakes to hamsters.🩷🩵 I’ve been helping care for dogs and cats since I was young. Especially for this one woman who my parents had known since they moved into the neighborhood at the time of my birth. She had 3 dogs and 2 cats (and 2 fish). I would walk them however many times a week she needed, more than usual when I was on breaks from school. I would occasionally dog/cat-sit at her house but not overnight. The dogs ranged from age 5-15, Tristan “the middle child” I remember the best and he was the biggest and most energetic of the three. I thoroughly enjoyed my time taking care of her animals! My elementary school had us take care of a hamster as a class and my middle school (same school) had us take care of two bunnies and raise baby chickens as a class as well. A summer camp I went to for 4-5 consecutive summers, Brown Academy, had time carved out for us to spend time with a variety of animals. I was also usually in that classroom during my free time as well. I cat-sat for a family in my neighborhood as well last year over the summer, brother cats in their teen years (SO CUTE). I also recently just finished dog sitting for a family friend who lives 15 minutes away in Old Town. She has two Shih Tzus who I made sure to walk twice a day, keep fed, clean, and play with during that week. :) I have always had a passion for animals, I believe they are so beautiful and deserve the world, I hope you will consider me to care for yours! I grew up with a dog that I loved dearly, and enjoyed nothing more than spending time inside and outside with him! Since his passing, I have gotten a little over a year of experience petsitting and dog-walking, and am looking to expand and help more families keep their fur babies happy! I’ve had dogs and a cat since I was young and was always held accountable to take care of them! I took a Veterinary Science class in High School and dealt with animals on a daily during this course (Bunnies and Puppies.) I have recently owned hamsters and fish as well that were 100% my responsibility. I’ve volunteered at animal shelters and have 4 years of paid experience with pet sitting for neighbors.
