“Jessica was wonderful. My dogs were well cared for and my house was well kept. I have one dog that takes a while to warm up to people and just in the matter of one night she already had him cuddling up to her like he does to us. So grateful! We will definitely be booking her in the future!”

“Richard was great with Moosey! Fast communicator. Sent pics and videos. Super respectful and left my place clean. Moosey loved him. Definitely would recommend and would book again for my future trips.”

“Such an amazing person and it shows through his care! Left our home cleaner than he found it (took out the trash and even washed some towels used for the doggos). Updates for the month we were gone were exactly what we needed! He tried to base it off our time zone, was great & speedy in emergency situations, and the photos gave us peace of mind. Our dogs & family love him and can’t wait to book him for our next trip!”

“By the looks of the pictures I received, I think our dog really enjoyed having Bailey as a dog sitter. We were out of town for 8 days and Bailey spent a lot of time with our girl, giving us peace of mind. We asked Bailey if she’d be willing to stay one more night to take away something our neighbors with new babies offered to do and Bailey was more than willing to do so for the regular price. We appreciated that!”

“We never were really comfortable with leaving our boys at the clinic while we travel. Kaya made it so easy for us. She is extremely friendly, helpful, kind and informative. We would definitely recommend her!”

“Lydia did an amazing job watching Jasmine while I was out of town for a long weekend. She was very responsive and communicated very well. I would definitely let Lydia watch Jasmine again!”

“The best!! She treated our pups like her own. Lots of updates and very cute pictures. This was my first time using rover for pet care so I was a bit worried but the dogs felt comfortable with Yasmeen right away! Got a rover and pup photoshoot all in one.”

“Bridget is so amazing with the dogs. I now have a rescue dog who is very high energy and her 9 years old brother tries his hardest to keep up. Bridget did amazing take care of them for this last minute trip. Weill definitely rebook in the future!”

“Jessica was beyond fantastic! My pups were well taken care of along with the home! Updates were provided and she was quick and responsive to us. We recommend her services!”

About: I grew up on a farm and have had dogs of every shape and size my entire life. I have experience with dogs with diabetes and am comfortable giving them their shots. I am willing to drive to any part of the island but I am located in Ewa Beach so please allow grace for traffic if you are townside. Size does not scare me as I was watching over 12 horses daily in Kapolei, my elderly dog requires 4 medications a day so medications are a breeze as I’ve had to learn every trick in the book. *I have an elderly dog and young cat in my home so all animals must pass a flea inspection and have recent vaccines.* I am currently unemployed due to medical conditions not letting me be able to be in large crowds. I can adapt my schedule to you and your animals needs because of this and can be available anytime outside of my appointments and treatment days. I have a larger fenced yard in Ewa Beach, I provide filtered water for all animals and treat any animal in my home as if it were my own. In my house animals are allowed on furniture and beds. I will always leave a space cleaner than found, if I am house sitting/pet sitting I will lightly clean the area. If your animal becomes muddy, or dirty under my care I will wash them. If you don’t want them on furniture I will make sure they do not go on any.
“Tanya was amazing, she stayed with our pups and they seemed to enjoy her company. They were well fed and socialized. Tanya did a great job of keeping us in the loop and easing this fluffy puppy mom. We will absolutely be calling her again.”

“Let me tell you all — hire Amber. Hire her now! From the moment we met her, we knew she was the one we wanted caring for our cat. She is incredibly sweet, kind, and gentle, and you can immediately tell she truly loves animals. Our entire experience felt both professional and warm — the perfect balance. She gave thoughtful, consistent updates and quickly picked up on our cat’s unique traits and behaviors. It was so reassuring to hear her observations and know our girl was not only being cared for, but truly understood. She also kept our home spotless, which meant so much to us. We are admittedly animal fanatics and left way too many instructions — and she handled it all with such ease and grace. Never once did we feel like we were “too much.” She embraced it. We absolutely loved having her as our sitter and would hire her again and again without hesitation. Amber is a gem.”

“Meagan is great, communicates well, is flexible and most of all, she cares for our fur babies with lots of love and respect. It’s can be stressful when letting someone stay in your home but Meagan has been a joy 🤩”

“Nicole was on time, and took great care of my two boys. She sent pictures to keep my up to date as well which was greatly appreciated. I Highly recommend Nicole!”

About: Hi😊 my name is Kaitlyn. I’ve loved and cared for animals since I was 14, and my home feels happiest with dogs and/or cats in it. I have years of pet-sitting experience with multiple families and am comfortable with all sizes and ages, from playful puppies to gentle seniors, including medication needs. You can expect patient, affectionate care, steady routines, walks, and lots of cuddles. Weekly Schedule: • Monday–Friday: Available 3:00 PM–7:30 PM (I work 7:45 AM–2:20 PM; Wednesdays until 3:30/4:00 PM) • Overnight Boarding: Friday & Saturday nights • Weekends (Saturday–Sunday): Available 24/7 for boarding, drop-ins, and walks I build my routine around each dog’s needs with walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. 🥰 Please note: I do not have a crate in my home, so a crate would need to be provided if your dog requires one. In my home, pets are part of the family! I live with my partner, who also grew up with dogs and is very comfortable with animals. Our apartment is safe, with wood floors and two bedrooms, and we are on the second floor with a staircase. We don’t have pets at home, so your dog will get my full attention. We live in a dog-friendly neighborhood with great walking routes!
“After returning home, we could tell both our doggies really took to Alexis and enjoyed their time with her! We also appreciated the nice pictures that she sent us while we were gone.”

“Asking Arianna to house sit and care for our dog and two cats was the best decision. She cared for our pets like her own and was very communicative. Arianna helped to relieve my anxiety about being away by answering my questions promptly and with reassuring information. It was obvious from the pictures, videos and the behavior of my pets when we got home that they enjoyed their time with her. We highly recommend Arianna and will be asking for help over and over again.”
“Stephanie was wonderful and made it so we didn’t have to worry about a thing while we were gone. I think she left our house cleaner than when she got here. She was very communicative and sent pictures daily. We really appreciated her watching our dog and cat!”

About: I have taken care of animals ever since I was 5 years old. I owned 4 dogs, and my oldest childhood dog was an 16 English cocker spaniel. I also have taken care of my eldest sister’s two dogs named Duke and Rousey who are high energy dogs that I take on walks at least twice a day. I have another childhood dog I take care of, Lily who is a Labrador Chihuahua Mix with a little social anxiety. I know how to give dogs oral medication to making sure that they are well taken care of if given a strict schedule. Senior care is a skill of mine, especially having to learn how to take care of my own senior animals and how important it is when it comes to comfortability and making sure they have enough loving to keep them calm throughout the day. I am currently a student at University of Hawaii West Oahu and all my classes are online so my schedule is extremely flexible if anything is needed. I have a fenced yard with turf and pet safe plants for my pets and yours to take a sniff and have the time of their life running around! If you have an indoor dog, we have an AC unit in the living room that is always running to ensure the comfort of our own animals. My dogs are extremely friendly and I can even have a separate area if needed.

Nicole is such a wonderful and caring person! She always updates with pictures and detail of how my dogs and cat are doing. She pays attention to how they are feeling and gives us peace of mind. Knowing our fur babies are not only well taken care of but given so much love when we are away is such a wonderful feeling. Thank you Nicole!

Hannah is such a wonderful pet sitter! Our animals instantly connected with her, and she was so attentive and caring. She was great about sending daily updates, multiple times a day, and made us feel at ease being away from our fur babies. So thankful we connected!

We had not tried a house/dog sitter before, and were very lucky to have met Malcolm. Our dog Molly is a little bit rambunctious, and she took to Malcolm immediately. He kept her on her food and exercise routine and sent pictures of her activities to us while we were gone. I felt like the communication was fantastic, Molly was well cared for, and my home was in better condition than when we left. What more could you ask for?

Audrey is so amazing with our boy Puggy!! She always shows up when she can and is communicative, accommodating and so respectful of our home. Shes watched him a few times now has been incredibly reliable. I can’t express how much I’ve appreciated her help keeping Puggy company when life gets busy for us. Her long time experience with animals and grooming is what made me instantly feel comfortable having her watch our boy. I would recommend her 1000x over.

Kaydence was completely reliable and took the best care of our three dogs. She gave us daily updates and provided photos so we can see how are babies are doing from afar. She was punctual and trustworthy... also great with communications. Would not hesitate to use her services again. job well done, thank you Kaydence!!
Amazing sitter with an amazing family to support! I was off island for 3 weeks and Samantha never failed to send me photos of my dog and 3 cats daily. She was extremely attentive to them and their needs and was even flexible when one of the cats got an eye infection and had to go to the vet. She was impressively skilled at handling my 120-lb reactive dog on walks and was able to get him out in the neighborhood 3x/week, just like I asked, with no issues! Will definitely be working with her again :)

Shy is exceptional. She goes above and beyond to take care of your beloved family member and I always feel at ease knowing she is taking care of my dog. I would recommend her to anyone that needs dog sitting services above anyone else! She is attentive and thorough. Thank you for watching my boy for the holidays and Merry Christmas!

Erica was so lovely, patient, and communicative! We potentially needed a last minute sitter for the weekend, and she was so kind while we waited to confirm that we did in fact need help. Our meet and greet went wonderfully and all of our pets instantly loved her. We came home to a clean house and happy pets. We'll definitely book with her again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Naval Air Station Barbers Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Naval Air Station Barbers Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Naval Air Station Barbers Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
