About: I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust, so I focus on creating a safe, loving, and stress-free environment while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule and make time every day for walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets the attention and care they need. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pet is doing well. I follow each pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and safe. I make sure they have fresh food and water, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I also keep their space clean, follow any special care instructions, and send photo updates so owners know their pet is happy and well cared for.
“Madelaine was great with my fur babies. She even made my old girl so comfortable that she didn’t fight the leash or harness. I really appreciate and trust her moving forward with loving on my baby dogs. She treated them as her own and even gave special time and attention with them so they were comfortable in her home.”

“My dog came home pooped because she had such a fun day of play with Chelsea, Copper, and Momoko. Chelsea communicates often and has been very accommodating. I feel so lucky to have found her to care for my dog. :)”

“Peanut had a great time with Kelly! She was happy and well cared for during her two all-day visits! Kelly even sent photos. Thank you for caring for my little diva ❤️”

“You can tell Niome has a heart for animals. Niome always makes Phoebe feel right at home. Phoebe has the best time playing with the other pups, and comes home exhausted from a full day of play.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! From the moment we met, I knew my dog was in caring and capable hands. Angela provided updates, photos, and messages that gave me complete peace of mind while I was taking care of errands for the day. It was clear my pup was not only well cared for but genuinely loved and treated like family. After picking Queen up from Angela’s place and heading home, my dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly had a wonderful time. The attention to detail, reliability, and genuine compassion exceeded every expectation. It’s not easy to trust someone with a beloved pet, but I would absolutely book with Angela again without hesitation. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable, communicative, and truly passionate about animals, I highly recommend her. She deserved every one of these five stars! Mahalo Angela and our Queen will be so looking forward to her August vacay with you! God Bless, ~Angie TM 🌺🤗”

About: I grew up on a farm and have had dogs of every shape and size my entire life. I have experience with dogs with diabetes and am comfortable giving them their shots. I am willing to drive to any part of the island but I am located in Ewa Beach so please allow grace for traffic if you are townside. I have an elderly dog and young cat in my home so all animals must pass a flea inspection and have recent vaccines. If animal does not pass flea inspection they will not be allowed to stay in my home but I will go to yours and help treat them. I am currently unemployed due to medical conditions not letting me be able to be in large crowds. I can adapt my schedule to you and your animals needs because of this and can be available anytime outside of my appointments and treatment days. I have a larger fenced yard in Ewa Beach, I provide filtered water for all animals and treat any animal in my home as if it were my own. In my house animals are allowed on furniture and beds. I will always leave a space cleaner than found, if I am house sitting/pet sitting I will lightly clean the area. If your animal becomes muddy, or dirty under my care I will wash them.
“Exceptionally pleased with the service that Luz provided. My furbaby appears to have had a lovely time, being walked regularly, engaged with and even posing for lots of photos!! I am very happy.”

“Aloha! This day visit was for the purpose of familiarizing King with Grace and Scott and their dogs Izzy and Bailey since they will be caring for him for 6 days. I was looking forward to King's day visit since his earlier meet and greet had gone well, but there was an extended period when they were not available, and when we resumed, I was hopeful his memory of the meet and greet would kick in. I checked in with them a couple times during the day visit and and all was well. When we picked him up, we were greeted at their back gate and King was excited to see me and seemed relaxed and in a good mood. Scott reported the visit went well, King got along with the dogs, he had some outdoor time, was affectionate with Grace by licking her leg, and loved his belly rubs, His dinner appetite was normal, and he readily engaged with us in activities once home . He slept without any issues. We will have another day visit in 2 days before we leave for 6 days. So far, just great. Thanks Grace and Scott and Izzy and Bailey. See you soon!”

“Maribell is the best! She's watched our dogs multiple times now and the dogs are always so happy after spending the day with her. I highly recommend booking with Maribell!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Naval Air Station Barbers Point commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
