Because my daughter is highly allergic (to cats and dogs, not just fur, but also their saliva), I don’t have pets in my own home; but that’s exactly why I love caring for other people’s pets so much! When I’m with your furry family member, they get my full attention, care, and affection. I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel comfortable, secure, and loved at all times. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect your space and your pet’s routine. I follow feeding, walking, and medication instructions carefully and take extra time to understand their habits and comfort zones. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I keep a close eye on their behavior to ensure they’re safe and happy. My goal is to build trust with both pets and pet parents by being dependable, communicative, and genuinely caring. You can always count on me to provide a calm, loving environment where your pet feels safe and cared for while you’re away.

It’s very important for me to know all the key details about each pet before caring for them so I can keep them happy, healthy, and safe. This includes information about any medications that need to be administered, special feeding instructions, allergies, or health concerns. I also like to know about their daily routines such as walk times, preferred play activities, and any behaviors or triggers I should be aware of (for example, if they’re nervous around other animals or loud noises). Understanding these details ahead of time helps me provide the same level of care they’re used to at home and ensures a smooth, stress-free experience for both the pet and their owner.

A typical day with the pets I watch is all about keeping them happy, comfortable, and engaged. I start by making sure they’re well-fed, have fresh water, and get plenty of affection right from the start. I pay close attention to their routines and needs, so they always feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. For fun activities, I love spending time outdoors whether that means going for walks, playing fetch, or simply relaxing in the sun together. For indoor pets, I make sure they get enrichment through playtime with their favorite toys, gentle cuddles, or even little games that keep their minds active. I tailor every activity to the pet’s personality whether they’re playful and energetic or more relaxed and cuddly. Since I can’t have pets of my own due to my daughter’s allergies, I truly treasure every opportunity to care for other people’s pets. I treat them like they’re my own, giving them lots of love, attention, and fun throughout the day.

Amazing sitter with an amazing family to support! I was off island for 3 weeks and Samantha never failed to send me photos of my dog and 3 cats daily. She was extremely attentive to them and their needs and was even flexible when one of the cats got an eye infection and had to go to the vet. She was impressively skilled at handling my 120-lb reactive dog on walks and was able to get him out in the neighborhood 3x/week, just like I asked, with no issues! Will definitely be working with her again :)
I have two small dogs that bark at everything, don't trust strangers, and require very specific care. For those reasons, I have to be very careful about who I trust my dogs with. Samantha was incredible to work with, she was just as patient with me as she was with my girls. She went above and beyond to make sure the dogs not only got their practical needs met (food, water, walks), she also gave them each personal time, love, and attention. They played and cuddled with her and I have never felt so safe knowing they were in such good hands. Even from a logistical standpoint, she communicated openly and proactively ahead of time, and was willing to go out of her way to accommodate my schedule, which was a big help.
