About: I started pet sitting at the age of 15, but have loved animals of every kind for as long as I can remember. I began volunteering at a horse rescue at the age of 12, and worked with various farm animals of every kind with very specific care instructions. In pet sitting I have taken care of dogs, cats, and other animals of every size, shape, breed, and personality. I participated in and was a TA for WMU’s Applied Animal Behavior Practicum for 4 semesters, where I worked with, cared for, and trained dogs and cats at the SPCA of southwest Michigan. I was also the Barn Manager at Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods Summer Camp, where I was in charge of many animals, all with very specific needs and schedules. I currently have a job where I can work anywhere as long as I have my laptop, so my schedule is very flexible to suit your needs! I am available most days, and can be very accommodating with what your pet needs. I have two dogs that love to play in our huge yard. My rescue is quite shy and prefers to stay at home or go on walks at non-populated places, while my standard poodle is very social and loves to anywhere and everywhere with me. I also have a cat who loves to play with my dogs, and likes any toy that has feathers and he can chase. I also have three rabbits that I foster for the summer camp I used to work for. I love playing enrichment games and building puzzles for my pets!

I understand the stress and anxiety that comes with leaving your fur babies at home while being away and I would love to be there comfort while you are gone!! I have experience with all different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and ages! I have had my own dogs from the beginning fun puppy stages, to the softness of there senior years, and held them in my arms on their final journey. I am more than capable of giving liquid or oral medication, following special dietary needs, or noticing any pain/ discomfort your fur babies need. I want you to be at comfort and ease while you’re away, so I always ask for a little note about your expectations of me, your pet(s) feeding schedule, walking schedule and typical routes, what is ok/not ok in regards to (being on the furniture, offering treats, jumping on people - I don’t mind being jumped on at all by a cute dog, but if that’s something you’re trying to train your dog NOT to do, please note that, for example, so I can contribute to your training rather than mess it up. My home is open to dogs (only one at a time) who are OK being around my cat, Oliver. He has been acclimated with dogs.. and I would typically keep them separated if you want me to watch them in my home. I have an apartment, and we have a nice dog park.. but do keep in mind; I might have to fluctuate your fees depending on what adjustments I may need to make to my home or lifestyle to accommodate your pet in my home temporarily! In your home, I am very respectable and trustworthy (with plenty of references so you feel comfortable). I don’t mind doing light cleaning while I am in your space, I always clean up after myself and your pet while you are away. Again, any expectations of me? Just inform me! :)

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
