About: Ive had pets of my own and work with animals through vet hospital. I love cuddling, playing, and going on walks with pets. I am open to assist with giving medication for doggies who need extra care. I will happily send over pics of your pet during visits. I'm currently part time at a pet hospital. Availability can vary, just message me and we can try to work something out. On days I work usually I'm available in the evenings. I can offer boarding if needed. I do not have a fenced yard, I like to take pets out on walks for potty multiple times a day. I have 1 dog ( Wilbur ) + 2 cats (Phineas and Senu ). Wilbur is very friendly and would love the company of your pet. He is a tree walker coonhound Cats can be separated if needed when boarding your pet. For check ins - I can come over to make sure your pets have their food + water set. If meds need to be given I'm open to doing that. I'll also spend some time with them to offer some love and make sure they have some time outdoors. If owner allows I can take your dog out hiking / extended walks or to a park.
“They really showed a lot of love to my 10lb cockapoo, I could tell when we left she really liked them. This was my first time ever using Rover and was extremely satisfied and will definitely be contacting Dorian again if I need someone to watch.”

About: Hi! I’m Willa I’m a 29 year old living in downtown Frederick. Professionally, I am a licensed social worker. I had a dog from age 7 until he died when I was 22. I haven’t been able to get a new pet due to costs, but I love taking care of my friends dogs when they are on vacation so I decided to sign up here to make some money doing it. I can only board small to medium dogs due to the size of my apartment. I have a bed, food bowls, toys and treats but I do not have a crate. I’m responsible and respectful of other people’s homes. I can travel up to 15 miles to drop in on your pet before work, during my lunch break if needed, and in the afternoon/evening. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, various medical needs, and I have no problem cleaning up messes!

About: I believe animals are essential to human health. I have had pets for as long as I have been alive. I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, a horse, a pony, and 2 alpacas. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of room to run and play. I telework, so I am home most of the day with my fur babies. With my variety of fur babies, I have a seamless regular daily routine for pet care. Because I telework, I am home most of the day. I have a very large fenced yard with lots of room to run and play. I spend most of my day in the company of my fur babies.

“I cannot recommend Jen enough! She is amazing with my dog, she is very kind and caring person and she sent photos of my dog as status updates throughout the day! I look forward to having her watch my dog again in the future!”

“Emily was great and handled our 100 pound Doberman effortlessly. I never felt so comfortable going out of town. Our Doberman Zeus is cautious of new people and immediately loved Emily. She took him on long walks everyday and sent pictures. We will definitely be boarding him again with Emily.”

“There’s nowhere else my Luna wants to be when I’m away, than in Kelly’s home. It means so much to know that Luna is safe, happy, and loved, playing with dog friends and a wonderful family when she’s not with me. Couldn’t ask for a better situation! So appreciative and thankful!”

“Mandie was wonderful and helped us with a six day stay with very short notice. Communication was perfect with quick responses and frequent updates with pictures. We definitely recommend Mandie and will surely be back!”

“We had such a great experience with Joanne and she took such great care of our dog even with a very last minute booking. We are so glad we found her, highly recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Ballenger Creek
Hank’s home away from home. He is always welcomed with so much love and attention — this time he didn’t even want to get in the car to come back! As an “old man” with hip problems, Hank needs a little extra care, and this wonderful family always caters to his needs with patience, affection, and genuine kindness. The pictures tell the whole story. It is incredibly reassuring to know he is treated with such tenderness and handled so gently. I’m grateful every time Hank stays with them.

Hannah took great care of my dog, Sheru, and kept me updated while I was traveling. She was responsive and flexible with drop-off and pickup arrangements. She also noticed signs of a possible UTI and thoughtfully suggested checking with a vet. I really appreciated her care and concern for Sheru. I highly recommend Hannah to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

Priscila and Maria did an outstanding job taking care of Shenanigans and Fiddlesticks, and we highly recommend them. We made a major goof at dropoff--we remembered the dogs' treat bag but not their food! Since we were in a rush to get to the airport, we had to ask them to buy food for the dogs, which we reimbursed. Thank goodness, they helped us out with this. Also, travel delays meant that we picked up the pups a few hours later than expected, but they were very accommodating. We received daily updates and pictures of the dogs, which we very much appreciated. Priscila and Maria are outstanding Rover hosts, and we will definitely use their services again.

Adrienne was so great with our dog. She was very responsive and communicative every day. I enjoyed seeing the updates with photos that she sent day. Knowing that Lexi was happy and well taken care makes a world of difference when you’re traveling and have to leave your dog. Thank you Adrienne!

Juan took great care of my pups while we were away for a few days — I received frequent photo updates, he took them on long walks, let them run freely at the dog park, and provided a comfy dog bed for their stay. I’m pretty sure my goldendoodle was disappointed to leave Juan and come back home, lol. When I picked them up they were the most calm, well-rested, and not dehydrated — it’s usually the opposite when I’ve picked them up from boarding or a sitter in the past. I’ll definitely book with Juan again in the future!

Laszlo spent his first consecutive nights away from us with Justin, Kacy, and their pups. It went great and he was well looked after. We're glad he had a nice yard to run around in and make some friends. They're incredibly responsive and he seems to be comfortable to be there. All we could ask for. Thank you!

Chris & Gerry are simply THE BEST! I couldn’t say enough great things about them. So many beautiful updates every day while on vacation with heartwarming messages and adorable pics of our little Lexi. I was completely relaxed my entire vacation knowing Lexi was in such great hands! Can’t thank you enough!

Zach continues to be my go to sitter for my two large dogs. He is extremely attentive and responsive. He keeps me updated throughout their stay. Dogs always let you know if they like a person! When we pull up to Zach's home my dogs jump right out and head to his door; tails wagging and super happy! Highly recommend.

Christina, her son Zachary, and their dog coco were amazing! Diggs came to her house with an upset stomach to start the trip and Christina was kind enough to even offer to take Diggs to his vet while we were gone if his stomach issues continued. She had a great introductory method for the dogs, she even took Diggs on walks when he isn’t the easiest dog around to walk as he is very reactive (he’s very nice but pulls and is mouthy). Diggs came back tired which is always a good sign for us that he had a great time! Would highly recommend trusting your dog with Christina and her family.

It was my first time having my dog (Coti) at boarding sitter so of course I was nervous. I was referred to Aaliyah from my cousin. She had watched his dog several times. She was great. She sent plenty of pictures and videos to keep us informed on how Coti was doing to the point I wasn’t even worried. Took her on walks, rides and the dog park. Even told me she got a little dirty and she cleaned her up. Great sitter. Will use her every chance I get. If you want a great sitter and be worry free then book Aaliyah. She is GREAT!!!!!

Kristhyana is a very polite and caring person. My dog, Buddy was in the best of hands with her making me feel so comfortable through the text and pictures she sent me during his stay with her. I highly recommend Kristhyana and intend on using her services in the future.
Shamonica was very communicative. She sent messages updating me on how Sassy was doing and many pictures. I had never used Rover and I was a bit nervous but she definitely put me at ease during the 7 days we were on vacation. Sassy appeared to be comfortable when I picked her up. I would definitely recommend her and we would use her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ballenger Creek home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ballenger Creek.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Ballenger Creek sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
