About: i’ve always had dogs since I was a child,always loved spending time and taking care of pets. and to this day I petsit for friends and family when they are away. i’m currently working part-time, so I’m available weekdays after 11am. I can walk pets throughout the day and if requested ahead I would be able to petsit for some days. About: I have worked at the Humane Society of Greater Miami and taken care of pets for about 5 years now, ranging from tiny to large dogs such as Malteses to Labradors, I have also taken care of different/several cats and even have gotten the most antisocial ones to be comfortable with me! I’m definitely the kind of person that will say hi to your pet before you (no offense) and treat them as my own. I’ve had a dog for 12 years and with that came my growth in love for animals and always ensuring they’re properly taken care of. I will always make sure they’re safe and don’t worry, I like to take and send so many pics of them to you to make sure you know how they’re doing at all times! I’m currently not working since I have started nursing school! It takes up a chunk of my time since I’m usually studying but I feel like that makes me great for a sitter position, I’ve taken care of different pets for years and my schedule is free anytime after 2pm on Wednesdays, and anytime Thursday-Saturday. I always ensure to create a safe environment whenever I’m around anyone’s pet, they don’t know me so I always try to have them warm up to me. Sophia was amazing!! She checked in with me the moment she got Diesel, as well as sent pics and videos to update me and show me how happy he was on his walk! It's amazing to feel so comfortable because sometimes I get nervous leting someone walk my large dog but when Sophia came over, she really showed me she knows exactly how to handle any size and interactions with other dogs! Will definitely be using her again!
I had to go through a few dog walkers/sitters as I have two large bully breed dogs that are also leash reactive. Herbert’s knowledge on dog body language was a huge relief for me to ensure safe walks and to avoid my dogs being triggered from other dogs. Lucy is training to be a therapy dog and Valerie did an excellent job using the specific commands Lucy is being taught. Also, Lucy is a challenge at five months and 50 pounds. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
