About: I have owned many animals including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, and lizards. I spent most of my past summers dog-sitting for family friends and now I want to expand! I am currently a student so I have a fixed schedule for my classes, but besides that, I am very flexible to work with your schedule. I can offer your pet the best fit for them and you! If this means taking extra long walks I’m ready to stretch my legs, or if you have a couch potato I’m prepared to sit and love on them. I also have experience giving medication to cats and dogs and working with elderly or puppy-aged dogs.

About: I love all ages of furry friends! I use to run 3miles every other day with my baby untill she crossed the rainbow bridge to the other side. I would love to take ur baby on walks and to play in the park:) Currently workimg part time and would love the company of a furry friend! I work at a barbershop and would be able to take ir baby to work with me, my boss also loves dogs <3 I understand the importance of leashes and Im vary aware of other pups off leash when crossing paths. I and very observant on what they find on the ground and would do my best to prevent a foreign object from being eaten.

About: Hello my name is Sandy, We are a family of 3, myself my husband and our furry baby Feefu ♡ we both have been animal lovers all our life and we are so excited to be able to open our home to more furry friends. We've dog sit before and we truly enjoy it. We have a huge yard where our pet's can feel free and run around and play. I have treats, vitamins, toys and and lots of love to give ♡ I make sure every pet feels at home and always pay attention of their needs. Giving them the best experience at my casa is my #1 priority. While it's not required, I do advise pet parents to bring their dog's bed and favorite blanket along for the boarding experience, just so they can have something familiar and feels more at home. I also have a plenty of dog food, but feel free to bring your food over if you would rather that I give it to them. If it's close enough for a reasonable quote, we can set up a pick-up. I think I understand what each pet needs, and I'm excited to meet yours ♡ I'm here to look after your beloved companion whenever you need it. Be comfortable that you found me if I could be of such great assistance to you. I'm confident we'll get along with your furry child. I have a little 13 yr old maltipoo and Messi my neighbors dog, that likes to come over at times so its like having 2 dogs ;) they can keep your furry buddy company at home. We have a large, fenced yard for them to run around in. I assure you your pet will never be unattended. We spend most of our day playing and exploring outside.. 100% make sure they feel comfortable and safe at my home ♡ after a good run around we will go indoors to freshen 🥰 whatever makes them happy 🥰 Indoors, furry friends are so welcome on the sofa & chairs I have many different toys for them to play with and enjoy.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Avalon. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
