“The doggies tell all. Dixie and Luna seemed to like where they were staying with room to run around and play. I appreciated getting photos of them with other dogs. Thank you Addy!”

“Tanya was very helpful and accommodating--even at our last minute confusion of booking. She was very knowledgeable about dogs and their care and knew how to make our dog feel comfortable. Big yard for play and exercise. We would definitely book with her again when we are in the area! Highly recommend!”

“Jordan and Cody did a terrific job caring for our Bella Peach! There was another dog there and I’m sure Bella loved running and playing! Jordan sent an update with photos and it looked like Bella was enjoying her day! They have a lovely home with a nice sized fenced yard. Bella was happy and tired when we picked her up and slept like a log. We couldn’t have been happier. Our fur baby was in excellent, loving hands! Thank you Jordan & Cody!”

About: I grew up on a farm with pretty much every animal you can think of, including some exotics. I’ve spent many years raising my own animals (cats, dogs, rabbits, snakes, horses, etc) and have also done the same helping out with our friends and family’s pets. I love animals and honestly wish I could bring them all home but I can’t, so this is the next best thing! I can walk your pet on a leash and crate them when needed. I also have 1 friendly dog and 4 friendly kids to keep your fur baby company! If they need a bath I can also do that too! They will be fed, watered and spoiled rotten! I currently work for a job that I can work both in office and remote so my schedule is pretty flexible and can be open to accommodate anyone’s needs. We always maintain water, keep on their feed schedule as well as any grooming schedules they may have. Lots of play time inside and outside.
About: My husband and I are lifelong dog lovers who both grew up with dogs and couldn’t imagine our home without them! We currently have three adopted pups from the Kansas Humane Society, and over the past three years we’ve also fostered 11 dogs through KHS — including 5 puppies. Caring for dogs of different ages, personalities, and energy levels has taught us how important patience, routine, and a loving environment are for every pup. While we don’t feel experienced enough to do any official training, we provide a safe, playful, and affectionate home where dogs are treated like family. Our three dogs love making new friends, and our 9-year-old is a certified ball-throwing expert who adores helping play with visiting pups! I’m also a stay-at-home mom to a 1-year-old who absolutely loves dogs, and I’m always closely supervising interactions to make sure everyone stays safe and comfortable. Our home is set up to accommodate different temperaments and needs, with three separate spaces — a finished downstairs area, living room, and kitchen/coffee nook — that can be used for dogs who prefer a quieter environment, slower introductions, or their own low-energy space. We know how important it is to trust the people caring for your dog, and we’ll treat your fur baby with the same love and attention we give our own. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home throughout the day and have plenty of time, attention, and energy to devote to caring for your pups! My schedule is very flexible, so I’m available most days and times throughout the week aside from the occasional appointment or family activity. When my 9-year-old is out of school, he’s my biggest helper and loves spending time playing fetch and giving extra attention to our furry friends. My 1-year-old is also a huge fan of dogs and happily tags along on walks and outdoor time. Our days are full of play, cuddles, potty breaks, and lots of love, so your pup will always have company and care while they’re with us! Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are our top priorities. We have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor play and three friendly dogs who love making new friends and providing companionship during your pup’s stay. Because we know every dog has a different personality and comfort level, our home is set up with multiple secure, separate spaces to help everyone feel relaxed and safe. Our finished basement has its own outdoor access and can be completely gated off to provide a calm, private area for dogs who need quieter surroundings, slower introductions, or a break from other pups. We also have a separate gated kitchen/coffee nook area with outdoor access that offers a more social environment while still keeping dogs comfortably separated when needed. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home throughout the day to closely supervise playtime, potty breaks, feeding schedules, walks, and rest time. Whether your dog is staying in our home, joining us for walks, or being cared for in your own home, we strive to create a loving, dependable, and low-stress experience for both you and your pet. We also offer drop-in visits and dog walks for local families, and we’re happy to come to your home to feed, let your dog out, provide walks, playtime, cuddles, medication if needed, and lots of attention while you’re away. We know how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet and entering your home, and we’ll always treat both with the same care and respect we would want for our own family.
“Cheryl is responsive, dependable, & actively engaged our dog in her care. We appreciated the meet & greet prior to our dog’s daycare & the report following our dog’s stay. We’ll be contacting Cheryl again!”

“We love Kylee! My Yorkies enjoy going to her house! She is always thoughtful and keeps us informed on how the girls are doing! This is our third time and we will book either her again! 5 stars ⭐️”

“I was really impressed with Halie , she was the first sitter I chose with Rover in Wichita . I always used Rover when i lived in Florida and always had a good experience , I could find someone last minute and the app is very user friendly .I am a nurse and due to the pandemic I work long hours and weekends . Halie was very accommodating and my fur baby Gizmo really liked her . I am always nervous when I have to leave Gizmo , Halie was very reassuring and I felt comfortable with her . She sent me updates and pics while I was at work to keep me informed . I will definitely be using Halle again to watch Gizmo , she is awesome !”

About: I grew up with dogs and have owned dogs most of my life (variety of breeds). I currently have a mini-Pomeranian and a Golden Retriever, who love making new friends! I've helped family and friends with pets over the years, and I also volunteered at a mill-dog rescue when I lived in Colorado - giving meds, cleaning, and socializing. I will make sure your fur-baby receives the best care!! I work full-time M-F (normal day-time hours) but can work from home whenever I want. I live close to work and, therefore, can drive home for check-ins/walks if I do need to be at my office. I have a lot of availability and flexibility on weekends. I have a small, fenced yard in a quiet, safe neighborhood. It's extra secure because my small dog would, otherwise, be able to sneak out of it. It's also partially shaded, but they would not need to be outside unless they preferred to be!
About: I have been a vet tech for 10 years. It is my passion. I had a disabled boxer so I am familiar with need to help disabled pets. I currently share custody of an energetic border collie. My 14 year old daughter loves to assist me when caring for your pet, please let me know if that is okay. I do work full time. If the pet is staying at your house, time permitting, I will check on them before work, lunch, and spend time after work with them. I will treat every pet as if they are mine. I normally feed twice a day and go outside as often as possible; weather permitting of course. If anything seems off, I have experience and a clinic I can take them too if needed.
About: I have 30+years of experience with many kinds of animals. I have personally owned: dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guineas, horses and a goat, pig and miniature donkey! Love my furry and feathered friends! I am currently very flexible and available throughout the week. I am also available on holidays. I am look forward to meeting your beloved pet! I am presently looking to do drop-in's and walks for now. I hope to include more services at a later date. I have a friendly small older dog that also likes dogs and cats. I have dependable transportation. I will care for your furry friend like they are my very own.
“We are so thankful that Sara has been available to watch our pup Luna while we’re in town visiting family. Sara is such a genuinely nice person, and Luna loves making herself at home with Sara and her boys. We never worry about her while we are away, because we know she’s in great hands.”

“Britney my first caretaker of jasper ever did an outstanding job caring for my Jasper!! She easy going and listen to all my concerns ,wishes and keeping informed throughout my trip with information and pictures about Jasper. Having that updated information help me greatly appreciate how important to know that my Jasper was in good health, good hands and took away any anxiety or concerns I might have leaving Jasper alone with someone I completely never met. BRITNEY was a professional in understanding the importance of owner and his/her pet relationship. I would hired and book Jasper with Britney any days of the week!! Rover the app that help me connect and book my first caretaker for Jasper with Britney was easly to operate, book, reschedule, make my payment and selected my caretaker. Having this options help me find the right caretaker for Jasper. All in all, I am satisfied with this experience and arrangements with Britney and Rover!!”

“Linda took great care in reviewing and understanding the needs of my pup. We did a brief introduction to be sure her pets and mine would get along and I was very comfortable leaving him with her. They took several walks so he would settle and he was relaxed when I picked him up. Will definitely be booking again! Thanks Linda!”

“On the days when I have lots of errands to run it’s nice to give our pup an afternoon with other dogs. Mike and Debbie were great with her and I’m looking forward to doing it again!”
“My family and I are very glad that we found Keitel to care for Goldendoodle (Meelo). As dog lovers, we always wants to ensure that our fur buddy is taken care off in our absence. Keitel check all the blocks and exceed our expectations. Keitel is not only great with dogs but also very knowledgeable with them. Keitel afford my wife and I the opportunity to meet him in advance for us to ensure that the environment was suitable for our Goldendoodle. Throughout the stay, Keitel and his family treated Meelo as if he was his own. We received regular updates and pictures of Meelo and his new favorite family. Meelo was pampered and well taken care of and our mind was at ease. We can’t wait to rebook you again. I highly recommend Keitel to anyone looking for a doggie day care.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
