“Tara is wonderful! She has been weekly walking our giant goof of a dog, Jolene, for almost an entire year. Tara provides great updates, photos and always gives Jolene extra belly rubs.”

“Dillon was EXCELLENT with my dog. I gave him a hyper cattle dog and I got one very tuckered out pup back. He followed my care instructions to a T and took it upon himself to bring my packages in for me. Will be booking with Dillon again!”

“Emily did an amazing job with Otis. He’s pretty particular about getting his harness on, even with me and dad, but Emily was patient and helped him with his confidence to get it on. She did great with his high energy and we definitely be scheduling with her again!”

About: Hi, I'm Brooke! I'm a senior at U of L and a certified animal lover. I’ve been around animals my whole life, as I grew up with both cats and dogs, and began caring for neighbors’ pets at 10 years old. Since then, I’ve had years of experience with house sitting, daily walks, and drop-in visits for neighbors and family friends, often working through word of mouth and personal recommendations. I’ve worked as both a stay-in pet sitter and a weekly dog walker, and I love meeting new furry friends and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for. I’ve cared for puppies, kittens, high-energy animals, and senior pets with special needs, and I’m comfortable adapting to a wide range of temperaments and energy levels. What sets me apart is my reliability, communication, and my attention to care when it comes to treating your pets with patience, love, and respect. I am currently a U of L student with weekday classes that I will be attending in-person and will need to be on campus for. Most days I will only need to be on campus for 3-5 hours at a time, so please feel free to message and we can work out a schedule that works for your pets! I always try to meet with the family before sitting or dropping-in so that I understand how any pets are used to their home feeling. I follow all instructions left by the owners, and try to keep a loving and clean environment for the animals. I also try to be very communicative with owners about any questions or concerns, and will gladly provide pictures/videos of animals to the owners request. I also love playing with animals and making sure they get enough activity so they can get some fresh air and love! Additionally, I am a pre-medical student at U of L and have many hours of emergency experience with basic life support (BLS) and have taken a veterinary BLS course. I know how to administer CPR and perform the Heimlich maneuver on cats and dogs. (I do not have experience administering care to additional animals at this time.) I am also prepared to take any animals to the closest veterinary ER in case of emergency.
About: I grew up on a farm and spent my summers living and caring for all types of animals from horses to chickens. I am working from home and looking to spend my lunch hour with animals and get some exercise walking neighborhood dogs! Ideally I would like to pet sit or dog walk during my lunch hour Monday - Friday but I am flexible as far as occasional weekend visits and different times of day. I care for every animal as my own and will spend time getting to know their individual personality. And my motto is to always leave someone’s home the same as or better than it was when I found it.
“Magdalana has been great with my dog, Bella. She promptly responds to messages and is very flexible with scheduling. I feel comfortable with her in my house, walking my dog, and providing optimal care for my pup. 10/10 would recommend.”
“Olivia was tasked with visiting and walking our dog while we were on vacation. She was consistently on time, extremely good with communication and obviously has a lot of passion for animals and this shows in the care that she provided for our dog Raya. It made our vacation much more relaxing knowing Olivia was checking in on her. We will book her again for sure!”

“Jessica was great! She was so considerate of our first time using rover for dog walking and made sure we felt comfortable! Our pup was well taken care of in our absence”

“Sam is always such a delight to work with. She’s flexible, communicative and so sweet. Scooter always seems to have such a good time with her!! She’s present and trustworthy as well.”

“Eleanor continues to provide meaningful care on my Zeke dog’s weekly walks and seamless communication surrounding all walks. We are grateful and happy to have her in our lives - as will you!”

I take care of animals daily having three of my own! I also work at tops kennels 2-3 days a week where i take care of dogs and cats. I spend as much time as possible with my pets so I will do the same with yours! I love taking care of animals and intend to take good care of your pets.
“Jen went above and beyond for my anxious dog, when I noticed he was upset in his crate she came back to calm him down (TWICE). Thank you so much for taking such great care of him!”

About: I have two cats of my own, Emerald and Allie! The entire rest of my family are dog owners, as well as the majority of my friends, and I have spent lots of time over the years helping take care of their pets! Whether it be visiting several times a day to take their dogs out, or fully staying in their home for a week or more at a time. I am always willing to do what’s needed to make pet parents feel comfortable while they’re away! I work full time at a non-profit, but my job is very flexible and most days I work from home! I especially always have evenings and weekends pretty open. I never bring pets into my own home because I am very cautious about how my cats will react. When I enter other people’s homes, I try to work with the owner first to make sure their pet is comfortable with me before leaving. I treat all pets as if they are my own, often referring to them as my nieces and nephews, so rest assured that your pet will be just as spoiled as mine for the times I am with them! I follow ALL instructions given to me by pet parents, and check in anytime I have questions.
“Athena was absolutely wonderful with Juno! She is so friendly and professional, and goes above and beyond. I forgot to leave my key for her and she came by my work to pick it up! Juno looked so happy when I got home, I could tell she had had a good day thanks to her walk.”

About: I have had fur babies all my life. From puppy stage to senior care. They are truly part of the family. I look forwards to loving on yours I have the please of working from home, fitting your pet into my daily routine would be identical to how I am able to send time with my own. I have a huge fenced in yard. I have one fur baby he is a bernedoodle who is turning two at the end of this year. He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys the company. So I am able to provide each pet with the love they need I have very limited space on how many dogs I will keep at once. About: I’ve lived with pets all my life, and I’m pretty relaxed and patient with animals. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or somewhere in the middle, I try to match their vibe and keep things comfortable for them — just like I do with my students. I can handle walks, feeding, and giving nervous pets time to warm up. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and always make sure pets get the care and attention they’re used to at home. My schedule is pretty flexible. I only teach in the evenings twice a week, so I have plenty of time during the day and on weekends to give pets steady attention, walks, playtime, and care that matches their normal routine. I live in a very pet-friendly apartment building with strong security and controlled access. I keep a calm, organized environment and follow each pet’s routine closely so they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I always pay attention to details and make sure pets are never put in unsafe situations.
About: My wife and I have been married over 20 years and 17 of those have been with multiple dogs in our house. We are dog-less at the moment, but would love to give your dog the love we have all of ours for so many years. I work full time from home and my wife is a professor, so we have a lot of time at home. Our son is 2, and absolutely adores dogs Whatever the owner needs us to do for the dog, we are happy to. Snuggles, walks, potty and regular feeding schedule is always on the docket
Audubon dog parents share their Rover experiences
Very sweet! Was able to accommodate me on very short notice, which I appreciated. She brought a treat for Biscuit, which he loves, and was understanding of his initial barking when she showed up. Sent me plenty of photos and texted to update me on how he behaved. Thank you!

Thomas is awesome with dogs, and we will definitely keep using him in the future. Our dog loves him, and we are very comfortable leaving him in Thomas's care. Thomas is very professional and clear on his plan of care and overall expectations from the beginning and sends confirmation messages/texts to make sure we are all on the same page before we leave for our trip. He does exactly what we want him to do and sends lots of pictures of our big guy while on walks and lounging around. It makes traveling so much easier when you know your pet is well taken care of while you are away.
