“That’s great to hear. I really can’t thank you enough for doing so well with him. It’s such great peace of mind to know he’s in good hands during the day. Thanks again, and have a great weekend yourself!”

“I just started using Beth as my dog walker and she has been amazing! She is very reliable, always on time and she also responds to my messages in a timely manner. My dog Finn loves her, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to walk their dog!”

About: I have been a dog owner for over 30 years. I have played with crazy puppies and I have cuddled with those in their old age. I have a very flexible schedule and I am comfortable with all breeds. I have a very open schedule. Morning, afternoons and early evening are available. I am open to working any day of the week as well. I would care for the pets in their home the same way I would my own - with love, care and playfulness. All pets deserve love and care.
About: I've cared for my sister's dog for over 5 years, and she means the world to me. Being around animals brings me so much joy, and I treat them like family. I'm a passionate animal lover who values their happiness, comfort, and well-being above all else. Whether it's walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I strive to make every moment special for the pets in my care. I currently work a part-time job, but I’m fully committed to making time for dog sitting on my days off. I have a flexible schedule and am happy to accommodate your needs on any days I’m not working at my other job. Caring for animals is my passion, and I’m dedicated to providing reliable, attentive, and loving care whenever I’m available. When caring for pets in a clients home, I respect their space and follow any instructions provided carefully. My goal is to make sure the pets feel secure by maintaining regular routines.
“Leanne took care of our 2 sometimes hostile cats while we were away. She was very consistent with her timing. She sent lots of great pics. I’m almost positive one of the cats would consider her a friend at this point lol. She went above and beyond everyday and I would definitely rehire her.”

“We recommend Matt for your pet care. He took care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats while we were on vacation coming three times a day. Matt is very reliable and connected well with all of the pets.”

“Leigh was great and so flexible with my last minutes needs! Every detail was followed and Duch was well taken care of! I definitely recommend Leigh and will be rebooking in the future!!”

“Amelie did an amazing job visiting our Bernese mountain dog while we were away. Our dog is anxious with strangers but he was calm and happy when we got home. We can tell that he enjoyed his time with Amelie.”

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs since I was a child. From puppies and kittens to old dogs and cats. I have fostered and sat for friends and family. I have a dog of my own who’s a very active breed so I am constantly playing or walking with her. My family has two cats and they are a blast to play with or just hangout with. I can create a nice environment for your pet, however you see fit. For active dogs we can go on walks or find a fenced in area to play.

About: I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life and absolutely love caring for animals! 🐾 I currently work at the University of Pennsylvania’s Ryan Veterinary Hospital, and my father is a critical care veterinary nurse, so animals and veterinary care have always been a big part of my life. I’m responsible, caring, and will treat your pets like my own! ❤️ I am currently available on weekends and Mondays and Fridays! I have availability Tuesday - Thursday after 6:30pm. I do have a full time job at UPenn’s Veterinary Hospital which is why my availability is limited Tuesday - Thursday. I unfortunately cannot care for pets in my home, as I have two cats of my own. I have no problem coming to your home and following any specific rules you may have for your own fur baby.
“We can’t say enough amazing things about Carly! She took fantastic care of our German Shepherd, Ruby, while we were away. Ruby can be a bit hesitant with new people, but Carly was incredibly patient, gentle, and kind. She took the time to build trust, and it wasn’t long before Ruby completely warmed up to her. Carly made sure Ruby was well-fed, sticking closely to her routine, and always kept us updated so we knew she was in great hands. She even cleaned up a little oopsy accident in the house without hesitation, handling it with total grace and compassion. What touched us most was how affectionate and loving she was with Ruby, sharing cuddles, giving her attention, and making sure she felt safe and cared for the entire time. It was clear Ruby was not just looked after, but loved. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup, and we are beyond grateful. Carly is a true gem, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a warm, reliable, and truly exceptional sitter. Thank you, Carly! 🐾💛”

About: I’ve always grown up with pets. Ever since I could remember I’ve been the biggest animal lover. I believe every pet deserves love, happiness, and of course, plenty of belly rubs! I am currently a student at West Chester University with a semi flexible schedule. my availability varies depending on my class schedule, but I am more than happy to work with you to find the best time for you and your pets.! As an animal lover and a pet owner myself, I know how important it is for certain aspects to be based on routine. I will always treat your pets and your home as I would want mine to be treated!
About: I’ve had my own dog since 2017 and have helped care for him ever since. For the past 5 summers, I’ve also dog sat and house sat for a family friend’s two standard poodles, one elderly dog with hip issues and hearing/vision loss, and one younger, high-energy dog who needed lots of attention and play. Last fall, I cared for the older dog during his final days, helping him stand, supporting him outside, and cleaning up after him when needed. I have also dogsat for my cousin's dogs for multiple days, walking them however much they needed and spending time with them. In addition, I’ve cared for a family friend’s cat by feeding her, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, and spending time with her while they were away. I currently have a very flexible schedule. I’m waiting to hear back about a summer internship, but even with that I would still be available for evening visits and weekends. If I do not get the internship, I’ll likely be working part-time with varying shifts, which would still allow me to do pet care during the other half of the day and let pets out before and after work. I’m reliable with scheduling and happy to work around your pet’s needs. I have an electric fence but can take will take it out on a leash if they aren't fence trained. I have a dog that is not 100% reliable on how friendly he will be if it is a male but we can easily put him away for a few hours and keep him calm. I would mostly keep a client's pet within their home/neighborhood.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ashwell. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
