“I have a small, older poodle with a sensitive stomach who needs medication via his food every 12 hours and who gets nervous away from me. The nerves demonstrate in my dog not eating or "doing his business". Matt kept me updated and offered ideas. He gave both water and food by hand to help. He asked if he could try adding small amount of his homemade chicken broth, which worked to get my dog to eat his food which contained his crushed up medication. My dog did fine on the added chicken broth. I would schedule with Matt again and would refer others to him.”

About: I have grown up with animals , cats and dogs. I also have been looking after animals consistently for over 23 years. I am comfortable with giving medications, taking care of small dogs in my house or yours, cats, caged animals ( hamsters,etc) . I am also open to care for small farm animals - goats, chickens . For care in my home my dad is home all day and would be able keep dogs company ( I am going to do all the walking). We have a pet park where we live. I am available in the early mornings and evenings for drop in visits. Unfortunately I can't do mid day visits. In the home my dad is home with them all day, I will do the walking, but he is able to take them out for potty breaks. In my home my cats are dog friendly, and they can have the run of the house or have private space depending on their needs. Our pets have free run of the house other then kitchen counters, they sleep with us, up on furniture,etc.

For the past 5 summers, I’ve also dog sat and house sat for a family friend’s two standard poodles, one elderly dog with hip issues and hearing/vision loss, and one younger, high-energy dog who needed lots of attention and play. I have also dogsat for my cousin's dogs for multiple days, walking them however much they needed and spending time with them. I currently have a very flexible schedule. I’m waiting to hear back about a summer internship, but even with that I would still be available for evening visits and weekends. If I do not get the internship, I’ll likely be working part-time with varying shifts, which would still allow me to do pet care during the other half of the day and let pets out before and after work. I’m reliable with scheduling and happy to work around your pet’s needs. I have an electric fence but can take will take it out on a leash if they aren't fence trained. I have a dog that is not 100% reliable on how friendly he will be if it is a male but we can easily put him away for a few hours and keep him calm. I would mostly keep a client's pet within their home/neighborhood.

I’m experienced and comfortable with both dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities. I share my home with one sweet standard poodle and two lovable cats who are my whole heart. “I have a small, older poodle with a sensitive stomach who needs medication via his food every 12 hours and who gets nervous away from me. The nerves demonstrate in my dog not eating or "doing his business". Matt kept me updated and offered ideas. He gave both water and food by hand to help. He asked if he could try adding small amount of his homemade chicken broth, which worked to get my dog to eat his food which contained his crushed up medication. My dog did fine on the added chicken broth. I would schedule with Matt again and would refer others to him.”

About: Dog owner and lover. Several years experience with taking care of dogs such as doodles, labs, German shepherd and more. I offer a safe and relaxed environment for your pet. I am available in the evening on Fridays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. I work full time Monday - Friday and would prefer if your dog was picked up on Sunday evening. I prefer to host the dog at my home. I have one dog - a lab mix. He is a very loving and gentle but active dog. There are no children in my home. We go on lots of walks during the day.
