About: Imagine your vacation was a vacation for your pup as well? I'm a life long dog owner. Unfortunately, I lost my dog a few years ago and I'm not quite ready to get to a new bff yet, so for now I enjoy sitting. I work from home, so as long as I have access to your wifi, I'll be in your home most of the time. This helps ease doggy anxiety and make for a relaxed vacation for both of you (think lots of pictures for you and belly rubs for the dog). My flexible schedule ensures I can keep your dogs (or cats or other pets) on the same routine they are used to. I'm willing to travel up to an hour for stays of 3 days or more. Cats and other small animals are free with any house sitting fee! Looking forward to meeting you and your pup! I keep schedules as consistent as possible. Your dogs routine shouldn't change just because you aren't there and my schedule allow for it. I only book one client at a time to ensure I can focus on your pets. About: A lifelong animal lover, I will love your pets just like you do! I can drop by your place for a doggie visit, so your dogs can be let outside mid-day, and I can take them out for a good long walk, let them sniff around, handle their business, burn a few calories. I can give snacks, or feed as instructed, even brush or snuggle with dogs and with kitties too, in your home or mine! I even pick up poop and clean litter boxes. ;) I volunteer with Stray Hearts and have completed Foster training, and walk dogs occasionally. I can board dogs at my place too, I'm located north of Questa in the small "town" of Cerro, close to the Wild Rivers Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. I'm flexible, schedule is usually wide open except for a few appointments or photo shoots. I retired from the Army in 2016, basically now a stay at home mom to a teenage boy, who also loves pets, and part time online student, (completing Bachelors in the next 3 months) and normally just volunteer with my church, Salvation Army, VFW Post 9516 and PTA. My family and I have 4 acres of fenced in yard, (gate will have to be closed at driveway for dogs to roam freely) but I have a small front courtyard which I can keep small dogs inside, with artificial grass for them to potty on and an extra large crate to use when they're ready to nap indoors. My family and I have a new baby puppy- Chocolate Lab named Bella, a super friendly 4-year old yellow lab named Gracie who just loves to play, and one 9-yr old tabby cat who is happy minding his own business: sleeping.

“Over the Christmas holiday in 2014, Kathy stayed with and watched our two dogs and my mother's dog for a week. Talk about a commitment during the holidays, right? To say Kathy was more than willing to help out is an understatement, since the dogs are a bit of a rowdie bunch, consisting of two primadona french bulldogs and a Belgian shepherd. Kathy not only made sure the monsters were fed, she walked them, played with them, watched TV with them, and made them feel comforted while we were away. Those were the things she did on the surface, but deep down she also made them feel safe and not abandoned. She loved them, and even "enjoyed" their doggie kisses. As someone who loves her babies like human children, it was a great relief to have Kathy with them. Kathy kept my fears of leaving the pups at home "alone" at bay, by sending photos and texting me to tell me all about their crazy antics. I knew they were in great hands and to say they missed her when she left them after that week is an understatement. She is great with dogs, small and large, and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a reliable, trustworthy person to watch their fur babies. ”

About: My first job ever was taking care of a neighbors dog every day after school in middle school- walks, pets, baths, play and more. I have always had pets personally and have pet and house sat more over the past couple years. I currently work part time, so I have a good amount of availability, as well as a very flexible work schedule. Generally, I am able to make my own hours and if needed could come and go.
