“Olivia took excellent care of Padme. She kept me updated and sent me pictures while I was away. She did more than I would’ve ever expected! Will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Great communication and lots of photos. Accommodated some last minute requests for the stay and nailed the whole routine for all 3 dogs, including meds and special considerations for an older GSD. He even got my stranger-shy Shiba Inu to come out of her shell, and left the house cleaner than he found it. Very happy with the booking.”

About: I’ve spent several years providing reliable, compassionate care for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. From energetic puppies to senior pets who need a gentler touch, I tailor my approach to each animal’s unique needs. My experience includes daily walks, feeding routines, medication administration, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection to keep pets happy and relaxed while their families are away. I focus on creating a safe, calm environment so every pet feels comfortable, understood, and genuinely cared for. Pet care is a natural part of my weekly rhythm, especially since I work from home three days a week. On those WFH days, I’m able to offer flexible, consistent attention—perfect for pets who enjoy companionship, regular check‑ins, or a steady routine. I build feeding times, walks or play sessions, potty breaks, and general wellness checks around my work blocks, making sure pets get the care and interaction they need throughout the day. On the days I’m in the office, I plan visits intentionally to keep each pet’s routine stable. Whether it’s morning care, midday enrichment, or evening check‑ins, I make sure every pet gets predictable, comforting attention. Because I’m used to balancing a hybrid schedule with pet responsibilities, I’m very organized and reliable about maintaining consistent care all week long. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping their routine, environment, and comfort exactly the way they’re used to. I follow the owner’s instructions closely—feeding schedules, walk times, play preferences, medication needs, and any household rules—so pets feel secure and stress‑free. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, whether they need extra play, quiet companionship, or a slow, gentle approach. I keep the home tidy and respectful, making sure food and water areas stay clean, litter boxes or potty routines are maintained, and any messes are handled right away. I also pay attention to small details like closing gates, locking doors, turning lights on or off as requested, and keeping the home feeling lived‑in and safe. Throughout the stay, I send updates and photos so owners always know how their pets are doing.
“Leah did a great job taking care of our two cats, including one that is new to the family. She kept in context and sent photos, and make sure everyone got along. We would definitely book with Leah again!”

“Anna did a wonderful job! My kitty is shy and Anna was even able to pet her once in a while-which is huge for my kitty! Anna was also able to house sit for us, so Kitty wasn’t home alone at night while we gone. Great experience for us. I will be hiring her again.”

“Incredible sitter- so sweet, kind, caring, communicative and left both our home and our pups in fantastic shape! 12/10 would recommend Lauren and will be using her again!”
“Absolutely wonderful dog sitters. Our dogs were comfortable with them from the start. They ensured the best care of our home as well. Even watering our flowers. Would recommend this couple any time!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I was five years old, my family got a dog named Midnite, and taking care of him is what first made me realize how much I love being around animals. As a kid, I volunteered at a local dog groomer for two years, where I got experience helping out and learning how to work with dogs of all different personalities. More recently, I’ve been dog sitting for family and friends and have also helped take care of their cats. I’ve even had experience caring for senior pets, including a German Shepherd and senior cat who needed regular medications. All of these experiences have helped me become more comfortable, patient, and confident when caring for animals. I am currently working full time from home. This gives me time to walk, play, and cuddle animals who need some attention. I also have reliable transportation and a love of enjoying the outdoors. I have extensive experience taking care of cats and dogs in their owners homes. Making sure they have access to water, are fed, medications are administered, and they are comfortable and happy. I also have experience walking dogs who are great on the leash and some who pull.
“Kristy was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I first contacted her, she was incredibly responsive and communicative. Before my trip, she came to my home to meet my dogs, and I immediately knew she was the perfect fit. My dogs are truly family to me, so finding someone I trust is extremely important. Throughout my time away, Kristy sent daily updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing my fur babies were happy and well cared for. It was clear that she genuinely cared about them and treated them as if they were her own. When I returned home, my house was clean and my dogs were relaxed, happy, and obviously very well taken care of. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Kristy to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter! 🐾💕”

About: I’ve had dogs growing up and it’s safe for me to say I am truly a dog person. I did most of the training with my families most recent dog Zola. Besides that I love being around all sorts of dogs. They are truly man’s best friend! I’m a full time student at UW-Platteville along with playing football so I’m pretty unavailable during the week. However most weekends I’m wide open especially on Sunday all day and Friday afternoons. I have a very good understanding of dogs behavior from growing up around them and being around them most of the time. I will make sure your dog stays busy and out of trouble.
“Abby did an absolute amazing job watching our ten month puppy while we were on spring break vacation. She lived at our house for the week. She took our puppy for walks, gave her so many snuggles and came home on her lunch break each day to let our puppy outside and play. We 100% recommend Abby!”

About: Growing up I've always been surrounded by pets of all sorts; dogs and cats and many others. Currently since I've moved out on my own I have a few of my own furbabies (my three cats Penny & Minx & Cheezeburger) that being said I live in my own home.If you choose me then you are helping me give some love to a furry critter who might need that extra help from a new special friend! I currently work first shift and have oodles of love to give hense why I 3 furbabies of my own haha. Typically you can find me fixing things around my house and with summer around the corner I crave to walk more hense why I think being a dog walker would be a interesting twist on how to spice up my life. Depending on your service that is needed we could further talk about what the expectations are. May it be a walk or feeding or simply to give them the good old belly rubs; just being there will be quite the joy.
About: If your smaller non-shedding dog (up to 40 lbs) does not care for other pets, I'm your sitter! There are no other pets in my house, and I specialize in dogs who do not like other animals. I have owned and loved dogs my entire adult life. In retirement I've chosen not to own one, but I miss those little guys so much and would love to love on your precious pet. I am retired and can fully care for your smaller (up to 40#), potty-trained, non-shedding dog. On weekends in the summer I may talk to you about your friend joining me at my camper. I will provide care for your smaller non-shedding dog without other animals in my home. Perfect for those cuddlers who would rather not have competition for my attention!
About: I keep my schedule intentionally small so each pet gets consistent, attentive care and a routine that feels as close to normal as possible while you’re away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets and your home, and I care for every pet like they’re my own—making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’ve cared for pets with a wide range of personalities and energy levels, including my own rescue dogs—Zuko, a heeler/rat terrier mix, and Rex, a coonhound/German shepherd mix. Getting Started After messaging, I like to set up a meet-and-greet so we can go over your pet’s care and make sure it feels like a great fit for everyone. I understand every pet and household is different, so if you have multiple pets, a unique routine, or a special situation, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to talk through what works best. As an FVTC online student and pet parent, I have a very flexible schedule and usually respond quickly to messages. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🙂 ✨What You Can Expect Every pet is unique, so learning their routine and preferences helps keep things as consistent as possible while you’re away. I pay close attention to body language and behavior so I can respond to their needs and help them stay comfortable. I’ll go over everything with you beforehand and provide regular photo updates so you can always check in and see how they’re doing. 🏠 Overnight Stays Overnight stays include evening and morning care, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I stay overnight and follow your pet’s routine closely, with time away kept within a reasonable and predictable range for errands or prior commitments. I’m mindful of how long pets are left alone and plan my schedule accordingly.
“Cassandra was amazing and will definitely be booking with her again. She spoiled Tavi with tons of walks and cuddles. I received tons of updates and she left my apartment extremely clean.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Appleton
Becca is a very kind and loving caregiver. She cared for my 2 senior dachshunds and 2 cats for 20 days. She sent periodic updates with pictures which gave me great comfort while I was out of the country. The pictures clearly conveyed that they might have wanted to replace me with her (or figured I was never coming back! lol). Regardless, I’m so grateful to have found her thru Rover and she gives me hope that there will be other dream trips in my future that I can make and know my babies will be loved and cared for by someone I can trust. This was my first time not taking them to Tailwaggers but wanted them in their own bed due to the excessively long time. Thanks Becca!! ❤️

Emma took such wonderful care of our pups while we were away. They were relaxed, happy, and clearly well‑loved. Her updates were reassuring, and it meant so much to know everything at home was calm and cared for. We’re grateful for her kindness and would happily book with her again.

Paige is excellent with communication. She texted often and replied promptly. She sent us photos and videos of our pups and let us know when she was at the house. Our dogs were happy and healthy when we came home. Very happy with her care and customer service.

The first indication of what a wonderful sitter Amanda would be for our girls was that our usually very timid dogs went directly to her to do the ceremonial sniff instead of running to hide. We got updates along with pictures and our girls were in heaven being themselves the whole time. Another sign of the calm Amanda brought for them was that nobody experienced the usual separation anxiety either. We recommend Amanda 1,000 percent. She’s amazing and our girls love her! We have no concerns of going away and leaving them anymore!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Appleton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Appleton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Appleton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
