From our very first meet-and-greet, she was incredibly thorough—asking every important question and answering all of ours with patience and clarity. We instantly felt at ease leaving our 9-year-old Apollo in her care. She was always extremely responsive, easy to reach, and wonderfully accommodating to both Apollo's needs and ours (including bringing in mail and packages). Our home was left spotless and tidy. The daily updates were a highlight—multiple photos and messages each day showing Apollo happily running in the yard, playing indoors, getting tons of cuddles, and smiling with his chompers lol. Seeing how content and loved he was allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our family vacation without a single worry! When our flight was unexpectedly canceled and rescheduled (leaving us stuck in airports for an extra 30 hours), Carissa immediately and graciously agreed to stay an additional night. Knowing Apollo was in such capable, caring hands made a stressful travel day, much easier. Carissa's professionalism, genuine love for dogs, and thoughtful attention to detail made our trip better than we could have hoped. About: I have had family pets for my whole life. Dogs and cats, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. I worked at a horse barn for over 2 years. My cat had passed away over a year ago from liver cancer. I am used to incorporating medicine in food, pills or even a syringe directing in the mouth. I am currently unemployed so I have plenty of time for daily care including walks, sitting or feedings.I am also available for weekly routines as well. I love to look at notes/routines provided from the client and follow accordingly. I am available throughout the week, except for Saturdays. I am a flexible professional who is happy to work with you to ensure your beloved pet receives exactly what is needed. I believe that safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment for the client are some of the most important aspects of responsible caregiving. When it comes to safety, I ensure that I carefully listen to all instructions and information provided to thoroughly prioritize your pet's well-being. Regarding trust and environment, I arrange meet and greets prior to bookings or scheduled dates with new clients to help your beloved pet become familiar with me and build trust naturally, reducing stress and fear when the time comes. I also stay within settings where your pet feels most comfortable, or I may take them to a nearby park to give your pet a chance to explore and enjoy. Ultimately, it’s all based on your preferences. 💖

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 and I am veterinary technician with a year of experience and I’m planning on getting my license in the fall! I also have some training experience and I have a pittie at home with some behavioral issues so I’m no stranger to difficult dogs! I do work a full time job at a vet clinic but I am available over nights, some weekdays and weekends to either stay with your fur baby or just stop in to let them out and feed them! I unfortunately cannot have dogs come to my house, but I am respectful and cleanly! I don’t mind staying at your house with your dog, cat, or any other animal you may have! I am great at reading animal body language and sticking to your animas routine! Your babies needs will all be met and more with me watching them!

I treat every walk the same way I would for my own dog: attentive, on time, and focused entirely on their safety and comfort for the full duration. Whether your dog is high-energy, a little nervous around new people, or just needs a steady routine, I adjust to what they need rather than running a one-size-fits-all walk. You can expect clear communication before and after every visit, so you always know exactly how things went. My schedule is flexible throughout the day, so dog walking isn't squeezed into a narrow window — it's a real part of my daily routine. That means I can offer consistent mid-morning, afternoon, or early evening walks, and I'm also able to accommodate last-minute requests or changes in timing without it being a scramble. If your schedule shifts week to week, I can usually adjust to match it. Safety is the first thing I think about with every walk. When I arrive, I double-check that all doors and gates are secure before I bring your dog out, and I make sure the leash and collar or harness are properly fitted before we leave — no slipping out mid-walk. I stick to routes I know well, avoid off-leash areas unless specifically asked, and keep a close eye on other dogs, traffic, and anything that could startle or spook your dog. I always carry water on hot days and adjust the pace or length of the walk based on weather and how your dog is doing that day. Before I leave, I make sure your home is exactly as I found it — doors locked, lights as they were, nothing out of place. If anything ever comes up during a walk, you'll hear from me right away, not after the fact.
