“Ladonna and her husband did a fantastic job. She had multiple dogs already when we dropped off Jaela. That was the day a bad storm and tornado came through their neighborhood. I can only imagine what they went through with all the pets they were watching. She also kept us informed and sent pictures of Jaela and her new friends. Definitely will be booking with them again. Finally, Jaela came home smelling good and had freshly washed blanket.”

“Thank you, Shaniece! You kept my furry baby so I could get some "me" time. I was able to enjoy my vacation even more when you sent a video, showing how much fun he was having. We'll see you again soon!”

“We feel so lucky to have found Valerie—she was truly a blessing! This was our dog’s first time staying with her, and from the moment we met her, we could tell how much she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she watches. It immediately put our minds at ease. She even invited us over for a meet-and-greet a few days before our trip so Maisey could get comfortable in the space ahead of time, which we really appreciated. Her backyard is huge with plenty of room for dogs to run and play—perfect for Maisey since she loves being outside. Valerie also kept us updated with lots of pictures and messages during the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely book with her again!”

“Milena was wonderful baby sitting my dogs while i was on vacation in Australia !! She keeps you up to date with them by sends pics to you of them as well !! She’s very lovable towards animals. I definitely recommend Milena. You will be worry free leaving your dogs with her !!”

“Dylan and his wife were very accommodating. After returning from my trip, I was held up at the airport which pushed my pickup time back a couple of hours. They were so sweet to not make an issue of it and had my pups ready to go once I arrived. Dylan communicates wonderfully (better than I do, lol). I'm very appreciative!”

“Our 2 big dogs seemed to have a great time!! We had lots of pictures of them playing which always puts our minds at ease when we’re away. Bryan said his wife loved our big boxer and wanted to keep him ; ) and that they’re welcome back anytime-always so nice to hear!! We loved knowing they were well taken care of in a fenced in yard, a/c in house-esp with the heat and that they were well loved. Thank you again.”

“Our dog loved her visit with Kathy! Kathy is also a very sweet person- our dog spent time with her while my husband and I got married- and Kathy brought her to the reception for a few minutes so that we could take a few pictures with our baby. There was no question- we asked and she didn’t even think twice about it. We gave her a time and she showed up exactly then. It was perfect and flawless! We would definitely allow our dog to stay here again! She’s asleep right now, recovering from her constant play time with Kathy’s dog :)”
“You MUST book with Brandi. My yorkie, Mater really enjoyed himself. Brandi responded quickly when I messaged her and sent extra pictures (she sent multiple pictures already as her routine) to me daily of my sweet boy when I messaged about him. Her family loved on Mater and he felt at home. I must add that when I picked him up after my vacation, Mater whimpered as drove away. This means everything! He was sad to leave.”

About: I’ve adored animals my entire life. I have a lot of hands on experience with everything from cats and dogs to birds and exotics. I work from home full time, so I typically have full availability. I have 3 kitties and a small dachshund. My cats are friendly and will retreat to their own space when they want to be alone. My dachshund is friendly and likes cats and other small dogs. He is shy/fearful around large dogs, which is why I’m only taking small dogs. All my animals are up to date on vaccines and healthy. I’m excited to take on caring for other small dogs. I work from home so I'm pretty much always home and ready to take on a cuddly baby or two! Would love to meet yours. :) I have a fenced yard and a pet friendly environment. Indoor and outdoor fun available to adapt to each dog’s specific energy needs. I can administer oral meds if needed. I have experience with all kinds of animals and can adapt to the situation as needed.
“Randi was excellent! I recently moved to Georgia and was very hesitant about leaving my 15 year old cat but she put me at ease and took the best care of him. I received daily pictures along with detailed updates. My cat looked fine and even snored when he slept so I knew he was doing well. Randi would definitely be a great sitter for your fur baby! 10/10!!!”

“Benji seemed to really enjoy his time with Kim. I received several updates and pictures letting me know how things were going during his home away from home stay. I feel comfortable with booking with Kim again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Antebellum Plateau
This was my first time boarding my pup, DJ, and McKenzie make the process as easy and stress-free as possible. She kept me updated on how DJ was doing and how she interacted with their own animals. She even asked if DJ needed any extra support during storms as we had some bad weather predicted during DJ's stay. I can tell DJ had a really good time with McKenzie during her stay as well! I'm very thankful and 100% would book McKenzie again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Antebellum Plateau home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Antebellum Plateau.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Antebellum Plateau sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
