About: I have had years of experience with my family dogs (4, medium sized). I also have 4+ years of experience both riding and working with horses. I’m quite the animal lover, I have also lived with roommates who had a cat! I’m quite the animal lover and love to be physically active. I currently work an 8-6 PM M-F but have 2 days in which I work hybrid. My schedule will open up more after August 7th. I’m fully available on weekends. I first of all ensure I have full communication with the owner on what expectations are. I cater the care to the individual pet’s needs, whether they be young, old, big or small! I also always make sure I leave them with clean bowls and access to water.

I especially appreciated how she was able to get my shy cat to take her meds which is no small feat! On top of that, her photography skills were such a bonus; I loved getting thoughtful, high-quality updates. I’m so grateful for her care and would absolutely recommend her!”

“Danielle was wonderful with Buddy! She stopped by a couple of times during the day to check on him, spent time playing with him, and even gave him some ice chips to help him cool down in the heat. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Buddy!”

“Christie took great care of my cats while we were away. She made sure they had fresh food and water every day and cleaned the litter box each time she stopped by. I will definitely request her again the next time we go away!”

About: I absolutely love animals and have a lifetime of experience caring for them, from growing up with two Shih Tzus to raising our family's newest puppy, Ollie. I've been pet sitting on ........ to travel (visiting Nashville, DC, and NJ), and I'm happy to share references from my profile! Now, I'm looking to do more sitting locally. Because I work 100% remotely, I have a highly flexible daytime schedule. If I sit in your home, your pet will become my ultimate coworker-and might even guest-star in a meeting or two! I'm completely comfortable adapting to your pet's routine to keep them safe and happy in their own environment. When I'm not working or pet sitting, you can usually find me country line dancing, swing dancing, or paddleboarding. I work remotely so I am very available during the day! If pet sitting at your home, your pet will become my coworker and may appear in one or two of my meetings throughout the day. Because of my job I am very flexible with my schedule and can make sure you and your pet's needs are taken care of! I'm very comfortable in someone else's home, learning the pet's needs and schedule, and making sure they are comfortable in their own environment.

“Alexis was fantastic! She was reliable and my cat loved her immediately. It was very comforting to see all of the happy photos while I was gone. She went above and beyond to also help me with an issue in my house while she was there. I highly recommend her!”

“Makinzie was amazing!! She was able to help us last minute which was extremely helpful. She sent lots of photos and her communication was great. She even went out of her way to clean up after our dogs and bring a package in for us. Definitely will be using her again!”

“Christine was a total vacation saver! We had no family avalable to watch our cats, because most of them were coming on the vacation with us! It was such a relief to meet Christine and know that our two cats, Betty and Shadow, were in exceptionally good hands. Both of them were so happy to see us when we got back! The photos we received each day showed exceedingly happy cats, that very quickly warmed up to Christine! The only hiccup was with the alarm system, but that’s on us. We provided a disarm code, but we could have demonstrated how to disarm and re-arm the system during our meet and greet. We would absolutely rebook with Christine!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Anselma
This is the second time Rachael has taken care of my cat and I have never had any negative experience with Rachael. My cat had a hospital scare the day before I had to leave for a trip and Rachael communicated constantly and kept in contact on her healing progress throughout the week. I would not have been comfortable leaving without Rachael taking care of my cat!

Mackenzie was wonderful once again! She was reliable, communicative, and always arrived right on time, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I really appreciated the updates and photos, and it was clear my cats were happy to see her again! She handled both of their medications without any issues, and it’s such a relief knowing they’re in such good hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Anselma. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
