Makayla responded within minutes of us requesting a last minute walker for Archer. She communicated clearly and then showed up right on time. She gave me a couple of updates during the walk and then a clear summary as to how she left. We definitely recommend her and will be happy to request Makayla again soon!

This weekend was our first experience with Rover, and Rachel was the best person to show us the way. She and our dog, Chino, hit it off right away at the Meet and Greet that Rachel suggested. During our trip, Rachel let us know about each interaction she had during her drop-in and walk sessions. We could see when she arrived, how long they walked and the route the took. But in addition, Rachel let us know how Chino wasdoing each time, (excited, cooperative, easy on the leash, hesitant, playfully, etc.) Rachel shared lots of pix as well. This put our minds at easy that Chino was being well looked after. We will certainly have Rachel as our first choice for future pet care needs! Rachel was awesome!

About: My family has always been an animal house; I have 3 dogs, a cat and a bird! I also have been housesitting and petsitting dogs and cats for my neighbors since I was 12-13. Additionally, I’ve volunteered at my local animal shelter (Main Line Animal Rescue) by going through dog walk orientation and worked with all sorts of dogs. I am excited to help others out and watch over their pets using my experience! I’m home for the summer from college, so I have plenty of free time! I am available for dog walking, housesitting, or overnight sitting during days of the week and also weekends. I make sure to always pay attention to each pet and see what they need according to what the owner needs (food, water, bathroom time, playtime, walks) and make sure to keep an eye on them, as well as adjusting to what they prefer - whether it be a lot of pets or just some company! I am experienced with walking a lot of different dogs and will give them plenty of love and attention.

About: I have always loved dogs and started caring for my friends and family’s when I was 12! Since then, I’ve found myself watching multiple dogs, staying the week at the pet owner’s home, and routine check ins for walks, feeding, and to let out. I have experienced strong and responsive dogs, so I feel confident caring for any type of dog! My part-time job does not start until June 22, so until then I have a wide open schedule! I also have my own car, so transportation will not be an issue! I treat every home as my own, leaving it the way I found it. I also care for the dogs as I would care for my own, and make sure to follow any specific instructions!

About: I absolutely love animals and have a lifetime of experience caring for them, from growing up with two Shih Tzus to raising our family's newest puppy, Ollie. I've been pet sitting on ........ to travel (visiting Nashville, DC, and NJ), and I'm happy to share references from my profile! Now, I'm looking to do more sitting locally. Because I work 100% remotely, I have a highly flexible daytime schedule. If I sit in your home, your pet will become my ultimate coworker-and might even guest-star in a meeting or two! I'm completely comfortable adapting to your pet's routine to keep them safe and happy in their own environment. When I'm not working or pet sitting, you can usually find me country line dancing, swing dancing, or paddleboarding. I work remotely so I am very available during the day! If pet sitting at your home, your pet will become my coworker and may appear in one or two of my meetings throughout the day. Because of my job I am very flexible with my schedule and can make sure you and your pet's needs are taken care of! I have experience pet sitting in other's homes for a while now and have used it to travel to new places! I'm very comfortable in someone else's home, learning the pet's needs and schedule, and making sure they are comfortable in their own environment.

If I could give Vu 10 Stars rating I would. For example, Vu was on his family vacation and I had sent him a text and right away he responded. Another example of Vu going beyond the scope of his job is that he came to pick up my dogs for a walk and noticed one of the dogs had vomited. Vu could've left the vomit there for me to clean up when I got home, but instead he cleaned up the mess and informed me. In addition, he has also pulled my garbage into the house. Being a single moms it's the little things Vu has done that has great tremendous help for me and my dogs. I can't speak highly enough of Vu. He's always letting me know if he's coming early or running late due to traffic. My dogs just loves Vu.

About: I have been caring for my own pet since I was 5 years old which was my first dog, a Cocker Spaniel mix named Slider. My love for animals has always been very strong and even at a young age I assumed all the roles for taking care of my pets such as feeding, bathing, trimming, and giving medication. My passion in life is to help whether that be adults, children, or animals. My hope is that with this opportunity I can help both pet owners and their beloved furry family members. My favorite things to do are being outside and running which works out well for being a dog-walker. I have professionally pet sit for my family and friends in their homes. I treat all the animals I sit for as my own and give them the best care possible. I will make sure that I match the pet's schedule whether that be meal times, walks, bathroom breaks, and exc. If you are looking for someone that will take great care of your pets and have fun while doing it, please consider me as your pet-sitter and dog-walker! I'm currently off teaching for the Summer. I have a part-time position in the late afternoon so my mornings and early afternoons are free. I love to run and be outdoors so if you have an energetic pup... I'm the perfect fit! In your home, I will make sure to throughoughly follow all directions given for entering and exiting. I believe in maintaining privacy while in your home and keeping your space the way it was found. I will make sure animals are comfortable with me entering their home and I will take the time needed to be ensure this level of trust. I will update you with pictures and videos to ensure quality of care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
