“Jessie was very nice, she was prompt, professional, walked the whole 30min walk, and handled both of my dogs very well. They came back from their walk exhausted and I'm sure if they could talk they would say she's great too(:”

About: I’ve been walking/fostering friends’ and neighborhoods’ dogs for many years and the feedback is really good. I would like to extend to other cuties and I really enjoy being with them. I am currently remote. I can fit into doggies daily schedule very well. No worries if the little ones need walk multiple time a day. I take care of the cuties at home and in the community. There are over 500 households and 2 big dog parks in my community.
About: I am incredibly observant and mindful of pets ways of communicating. There are times they tell us something but can be easily missed if not watching for it. I have grown that skill over the years making me a great match with animals of all personalities. I don’t work Friday-Sunday so those days are relatively free! I am someone who makes it work so really just chatting through times is easiest. In my home it would be walk and activity focused as I am in an apartment- and I am easily adaptable for any of your pets needs.
“My dog Loki had a fantastic time going for walks and romps in the fields with Lauren. He's a high energy puppy and I enjoyed seeing his daily updates Lauren provided, that gave me peace of mind while I was away. Definitely will use her services again. Thanks a ton Lauren.”

About: Hi, I’m Gianna! Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I began pet sitting at 16 and have continued caring for animals on and off ever since.I currently share my home with three fur babies—two cats and one dog—so I understand firsthand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for your pets. I am American Red Cross animal first aid and CPR certified. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from tiny Pomeranians to gentle Great Danes, as well as pets of different ages, temperaments, and care needs. Previously, I provided pet-sitting services through ........ (photos of reviews from ........ in gallery) and am excited to continue doing what I love on Rover. I know how much pets mean to their families, and I strive to make both pets and owners feel comfortable and at ease. I’m happy to provide photo updates, regular check-ins, and open communication so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I work full time Monday through Friday and care for three of my own fur babies during the week. I am available most weekends. I may have availability certain holidays as well. I love making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I make sure they always have fresh water, plenty of attention, and a safe environment to relax in. I keep pet areas clean and tidy so everyone stays happy and healthy. I also stay in touch with pet owners and am happy to share updates and photos so they can feel confident

“Natalie was amazing with my dog!! I felt so at ease knowing she was there to walk Lily. She brought water on long walks and took plenty of pictures and my dog seemed so happy!”

“Angela has been a great dog walker for our rescue Aussie. She is the first person outside our family to be introduced to our rescue dog and they bonded right away. She leaves detailed updates with great observations about our dog. She has been great!”

“Sofia is an excellent care taker for my dog. She’s wonderful, sends me updates and her communication is outstanding. I love that I get to see photos of my dog especially when I’m traveling. Keeps my heart at ease”

About: I’m a huge animal lover who connects with pets quickly and genuinely loves caring for them. Expect lots of affection, detailed updates, and someone who will learn their quirks fast and cater to them accordingly. Their happiness, comfort, and safety are my top priorities! I’m a freelance musician with a flexible schedule and great availability during regular weekday hours. Being my own boss allows me to give your pet plenty of attention, consistency, and care—I love using that flexibility to spend time with all the furry friends I meet 🐾 I respect your home and treat it with the utmost care while I’m there. I only use what’s necessary to care for your pet and always make sure everything is left just as I found it. My focus is on providing attentive, reliable care for your pet while being mindful that I’m a guest in your space.
“Makayla responded within minutes of us requesting a last minute walker for Archer. She communicated clearly and then showed up right on time. She gave me a couple of updates during the walk and then a clear summary as to how she left. We definitely recommend her and will be happy to request Makayla again soon!”

About: I grew up surrounded by farms and stray cats having babies on my porch that we would often take in. Most of the time my childhood home was full of 2 border collie dogs and 4-6 adopted cats. I have had my own cat for 3 years who I rescued (he has one eye and is the Cutest boy) and all my siblings have dogs and cats that I’m constantly loving like human nieces and nephews. Friends and neighbors have always regarded me as an animal lover and someone who is good with animals. I seem to attract them wherever I go! I am a professor so my schedule is flexible. All week days and weekends work for me. During the weekdays I am most available in the mornings and evenings. I am very respectful of everyone’s homes and their rules. I am good with details and feel comfortable following directions and wishes of any client.
“I just started using Lindsay to walk my dog because I’m from out of state in town for work, and she has already gone above and beyond to help with my anxiety dog. I will continue to use her services for as long as she is free. Definitely recommend her.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life so I’m very familiar with the care and attention they need everyday. I’ve been professionally dog sitting for two years now and have experience with both younger and older dogs. I like to think that I’m giving your dog a little vacation of their own while you’re away, and will do my very best to help them feel cared for and secure during that time. I work from home so I have a pretty flexible schedule during the week! I’m happy to walk/tend to your dog during the week for short periods of time. I have more time on the weekends to dog sit as needed! I’m also available for shorter house sitting stays, ideally 2–3 nights. I’ll care for your dog(s) like I would my own while looking after them. I’m very tentative and look/listen for their signals to know if they need to go out or just want some attention. I always make sure if there’s been a mess to clean it right away and cover/block off the area for a bit so your pet won’t try to lick up any chemicals. I also make sure that their collar/leash is on securely before taking them out for a walk to prevent any incidents from occurring.

Bri was awesome! She took my German Shorthaired Pointer on a long walk while I was away for most of the day, and even stopped by the day before to meet my dog beforehand, which I really appreciated. Very reliable, communicative, and clearly great with dogs. I would highly recommend Bri and will definitely be using her again going forward. 10/10!

Malavika is a lifesaver! My big dog took to her right away, which gave me so much peace of mind. She’s wonderful at keeping me updated and always makes sure his walks are the highlight of his day. I really appreciate how reliable and attentive she is to my specific instructions. I’ll definitely keep using her services and recommend her to everyone! Five stars!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
