Thank you for taking care of our Maddie. Margaret was kind enough to meet our girl before she came to walk and care for her. I loved the pictures and information received. My pup has a lot of separation anxiety and we were glad to have Margaret here to take care of her.

This weekend was our first experience with Rover, and Rachel was the best person to show us the way. She and our dog, Chino, hit it off right away at the Meet and Greet that Rachel suggested. During our trip, Rachel let us know about each interaction she had during her drop-in and walk sessions. We could see when she arrived, how long they walked and the route the took. But in addition, Rachel let us know how Chino wasdoing each time, (excited, cooperative, easy on the leash, hesitant, playfully, etc.) Rachel shared lots of pix as well. This put our minds at easy that Chino was being well looked after. We will certainly have Rachel as our first choice for future pet care needs! Rachel was awesome!

She gave me a couple of updates during the walk and then a clear summary as to how she left. We definitely recommend her and will be happy to request Makayla again soon!

About: Hi! I’ve always believed a house doesn’t really feel like a home without pets. I’m a huge animal lover and have experience caring for both cats and dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. My senior cat recently passed away at 20 years old, so I’m very comfortable caring for older pets and managing health issues like diabetes and daily medications. I also have a new puppy, so I know all about training, routines, exercise, and the energy that comes with raising a young dog. I’ve also been helping out by walking my neighbor’s dog and caring for friends’ cats while they’re away, and I realized how much I genuinely enjoy it. That’s what inspired me to join Rover! I know how important it is to feel confident that your pets are safe, loved, and well cared for when you can’t be there. I’m reliable, attentive, and happy to send lots of updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are in good hands. I’ll treat them like they’re my own! I love all animals and I can handle big dogs and reactive dogs with ease. Please let me know if you have any questions! I work part time as a piano teacher, so most days I can walk or stop in to see your pet any time before 3pm! I have a little flexibility on Mondays, but it’s definitely more tight. If you need a Monday time feel free to reach out! Whenever I'm caring for a pet in-home, I have the upmost respect for their animals, their possessions, and everyone's safety! Your pet will be in great hands.

About: I have owned and cared for dogs for my entire life which has given me many skills that I now share with other dog owners. I am very comfortable with walks, playtime, and routines for dogs of all ages and personalities. I love exercising and going on long walks, so I can accommodate for any walking needs. I will be sure to give your dog the attention they need while keeping owners updated with pictures so you know that your dog is having a safe and fun time! About: Hi, I’m Gianna! Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I began pet sitting at 16 and have continued caring for animals on and off ever since.I currently share my home with three fur babies—two cats and one dog—so I understand firsthand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for your pets. I am American Red Cross animal first aid and CPR certified. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, from tiny Pomeranians to gentle Great Danes, as well as pets of different ages, temperaments, and care needs. Previously, I provided pet-sitting services through ........ (photos of reviews from ........ in gallery) and am excited to continue doing what I love on Rover. I know how much pets mean to their families, and I strive to make both pets and owners feel comfortable and at ease. I’m happy to provide photo updates, regular check-ins, and open communication so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. I work full time Monday through Friday and care for three of my own fur babies during the week. I am available most weekends. I may have availability certain holidays as well. I love making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I make sure they always have fresh water, plenty of attention, and a safe environment to relax in. I keep pet areas clean and tidy so everyone stays happy and healthy. I also stay in touch with pet owners and am happy to share updates and photos so they can feel confident

About: Hi! I’m Chassy! My husband and I have called Pennsylvania home for nearly 8 years, and we love opening our home to pets while their families are away. Remix, our friendly and easygoing 8-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, was my very first pet and sparked my love for caring for dogs. My husband grew up with two dogs and a cat, so together we’ve built a home that truly loves animals. Over the years, I’ve cared for the pets of family, friends, and Rover clients, giving me experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Remix is happiest spending time with people, whether that’s going for a walk, relaxing on the couch, or taking a nap nearby. He also enjoys having furry friends over to visit. We understand that not every dog wants to socialize, so we’re always happy to keep pets separated if that helps everyone feel more comfortable. Whether your pet loves walks, playtime, or simply cuddling up for a nap, we’ll do our best to keep them on their normal routine and help them feel right at home. We only care for a limited number of pets at a time so each one receives plenty of individual attention, love, and care. We know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so we treat every dog like they’re part of the family while they’re in our care. You’ll receive regular updates and photos throughout their stay, and we’ll do everything we can to make sure both you and your furry family member have a stress-free experience. I work from home, which allows me to provide care and companionship throughout the day. Your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of opportunities for potty breaks, walks, playtime, and cuddles. I do my best to keep every pet on their normal routine so they feel comfortable and right at home. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We live in a clean, pet-friendly home with our friendly 8-year-old Miniature Schnauzer, Remix. While we don’t have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is closely supervised, and dogs are always walked on a leash. If your dog prefers their own space or needs a break from socializing, we’re happy to separate pets as needed. We only care for a limited number of pets at a time so each one receives plenty of individual attention, love, and care.

I was so nervous leaving without it being someone I knew but she made me feel so reassured, Elsa instantly loved her and she was amazing with communication while I was away! I highly recommend her and will want to have her care for Elsa anytime I’m ever needing help in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
