Hi my name is Mikayla, I recently moved to the Phoenixville area and am excited to meet local pets and their families! I currently have a cat of my own and have years of experience caring for animals of all ages, breeds, and sizes. Throughout high school and college, I regularly cared for neighbors and family friends pets while they were away, and many families referred me to others through word of mouth. In addition, I worked at a children’s hospital where I served as a dog handler for a golden retriever on the pediatric hematology/oncology unit. This experience strengthened my comfort level working with animals in a calm, patient, and attentive way while also understanding how important trust and consistency are. I am happy to help with walks, drop in visits, as well as longer-term stays. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a slower, relaxed routine, I am committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

I prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in whatever environment works best for them. I am happy to provide check-ins at your home and neighborhood so your pet can stay in their familiar routine and surroundings. For longer stays, I can also provide care in my home for more consistent attention and companionship. I do have a friendly cat at home who has done well around dogs, though he has not yet interacted with other cats. I also believe communication and trust are extremely important. I always like to take time beforehand to meet with both the pet and owner to go over individual routines, preferences, and care instructions to ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved.

Makala was excellent. On time, professional, and provided lots of photos and updates. Even dealt with a minor injury to one of the dogs like a pro. We will be inviting her back for sure.
Mikayla was amazing! You can tell that she really cares for your pets and pay a lot of attention to all details. If you want your pets to be taken care, she’s your girl, definitely will book her again.
Mikayla has taken care of my 4 year old mini golden doodle countless times over the past few years. I've always been able to trust her, and remain confident that my dog is safe in her care. I can tell how much Mikayla cherishes all forms of wildlife which I find is an amazing trait to have, you can tell a lot about a person by the way they care for animals, and not just the cute fuzzy ones we all love. She is a very patient and attentive as well, so I know no small detail about my dog is overlooked and she will never get overwhelmed by certain pups personalities.
I can’t recommend Mikayla enough as a dog sitter and caregiver! We worked together at a children’s hospital as facility dog handlers, and I had the privilege of seeing firsthand how naturally caring, patient, and attentive she is with dogs every single day. Mikayla spent so much time with our work pup and treated him like her own — with endless love, affection, and attention. Whether it was helping care for him during long hospital work days or watching him for numerous overnight stays, she was always making sure he was comfortable, or simply giving him extra cuddles and playtime… I always knew he was in the best hands when he was with her. Beyond being incredibly responsible and trustworthy, Mikayla truly understands dogs and their needs. Any pet owner would be lucky to have someone so compassionate and dependable caring for their furry family member!!!!
