About: Hello! My name is Sayuri (Cindy), and dogs have always been an important part of my life. I grew up in a family that always had dogs, so caring for and understanding dogs has been natural to me from an early age. I have many years of experience caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. After losing my beloved dog in 2002, I welcomed a rescue dog into my life in 2015. Today, I share my home with Layla, my 6-year-old female Labrador Retriever, who is a loving and gentle companion. I have also cared for my son’s girlfriend’s two puppies when they stayed with us during their travels. I treated them just like my own dogs, providing walks, playtime, feeding, and a safe and comfortable environment. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, boarding, feeding, and playtime. I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, and I always provide patient, attentive, and loving care. Your pets are family, and I will care for them with the same love and attention I provide to my own Layla. Your dog's routine will always come first. Since I work from home, I am available throughout the day to provide attention, companionship, and supervision. I am able to adjust my schedule to match your dog's normal routine, including feeding times, potty breaks, playtime, and rest periods. Because I am home most of the time, your dog will not be left unattended. When spending time in our spacious fenced backyard, I carefully supervise outdoor activities to make sure your dog stays safe while enjoying fresh air, playtime, and exploring. During the warmer months, dogs may also enjoy supervised pool time if they are comfortable with water. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. Because we have a large, fully fenced backyard with both grassy areas and woods, I introduce every dog to the outdoor space slowly and carefully. At first, outdoor time will be supervised with a leash so your dog can become comfortable with the new environment. As your dog becomes more familiar and confident, I may gradually increase freedom with a longer leash while continuing to closely observe their behavior. Once I feel your dog is completely comfortable and safe, they can enjoy supervised exploring and walking through the wooded area of our backyard. At night, your dog will stay comfortably inside our home. They are welcome to sleep on the floor or in their preferred sleeping area. If your dog feels more comfortable in a crate, I can move their crate upstairs and place it next to my bed so they can feel secure and relaxed throughout the night. About: Dogs have been in my life since I was 12 years old. I have had 4 dogs throughout that time. I have experience with both senior dogs and high-energy younger dogs. I am more used to smaller dogs, but one of my current 2 dogs is a 54lb pitt-bull, the other one is a 15lb pug mix. I also used to take care of a 70lb standard poodle for a family I was a nanny for. About: Dog boarding: I have 16 years experience for caring for dogs at home including multiple dogs at a time. Additionally I have six years experience with dog sitting/boarding. My main availability would be Monday-Saturday where I have a hybrid/WFH schedule meaning constant attention and activities for the dogs to be a part of most days of the week. Dog walking: My main availability would be Monday-Friday. I live right by Rock Creek Park so there are plenty of trails nearby to avoid busy streets on walks. Also available to commute through the DMV area for any service. I myself decided to join this app because I have always love helping dog owners provide the best life experience for their fur babies. I understand that sometimes it takes a village to have a dog/cat constantly looked after. With this I thought that dog boarding and sitting could be a great experience for the dogs and cats alike as I’m a high energy person who loves the outdoors. (Tips are encouraged and greatly appreciated) I work from home so I’m able to constantly give dogs/cats attention. This means constant potty breaks, multiple walks a day with varying duration, and lots and lots of affection. In my home I have two friendly dogs (crate-trained) and a doggy door with access to a fenced yard. Nearby there are also walking trails and parks away from busy roads for the dogs to roam.

I am experienced in caring for all types of dogs and cats, chickens, small animals, and have basic equine care experience. I have cared for dogs for over 30 years. I have fostered and provided support for dogs from young puppies to seniors that require special treatment, diet, medication and/or physical assistance, including amputee rehabilitation. One of my rescues (Penny) is blind, Luna has a single lung after three heart surgeries, and two are active seniors, Lani and Fiji! I use touch therapy on my dogs, along with holistic methods and work hard to keep our home full of health and happiness. Making sure our beautiful companions are comfortable, happy, and healthy is my goal! I feed my own dogs a holistic and healthy diet, and make their food and snacks myself.
