About: Growing up I always had cats and/or dogs in the house so I've had animal caretaking experience since a very young age. I currently have a very sweet 2y/o XL Bully, a very crazy 9 y/o Pit Bull-Jack Russell Terrier mix, and two adorable kittens. I've stayed up to two weeks in non-family memeber's homes to care for their pets and have never had complaints I am currently unemployed. So I will be able to spend a lot of time with your pets. I'm searching for remote work so hopefully even when I'm employed I will be able to work around your animals' schedule. When I wake up I make sure the animals are fed before feeding myself, I don't let my day start unless their tummies are full. I love snuggling up with animals and making sure they have plenty of playtime.

About: I’ve interacted with all types of animals and shadowed at veterinary clinics since I was a child. In the past few years, I’ve startedi helping pet sit for friends and family for periods ranging from a couple of days to a few weeks. I work 8:30-5 M-F, but have an hour lunch everyday. I have availability and reliable transportation before and after work hours as well. I make sure to follow owner preferences and safety precautions. This can mean making sure a dog stays away from other animals during walks, or making sure there is no trash around the house that the pet could easily get into.
About: I’ve always loved animals, and caring for them has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember! For the past 4 years, I’ve worked hands-on with all kinds of animals at an animal sanctuary, giving me experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and needs. I work part-time, which allows me to have plenty of flexibility in my schedule for pet care! I’m available after 3 PM on weekdays for walks and drop-in visits, and I’m available for boarding on weekends. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and provide consistent, attentive care while you’re away! For boarding in my home, your pet will have access to a fully fenced-in backyard and a safe, comfortable environment. I also live in a walkable area, so I can provide nice, long walks when the weather permits. I’m happy to accommodate your dog’s individual needs and routines, including crate use, feeding schedules, medications, or other care instructions. About: Growing up, my parents ensured I was surrounded by animals as much as possible! We always had dogs growing up. Since I was an out-of-state student in college, I began Rover to be able to connect with pets near me. I now live in Iowa City, as I attend Graduate School at the University of Iowa. My girlfriend and I just adopted a cat, so I am also gaining experience with cats!! I am a graduate student at the University of Iowa studying School Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis. About: I have taken care of animals since I was 10 years old. I find enjoyment in it because i love spending time with any pet. I’ve taken care of animals from puppy/kitten stage to senior I work full time Monday-thursday from 630am-5pm but free before work, after work, and friday-saturday-sunday. About: I have grown up with dogs and animals of all sizes my whole life! I currently have a family dog back at home in Illinois (cavachon, 6 years old) who I miss taking care of deeply. I am in med school here in Iowa city for the summer and have very flexible hours, weekends, and payment choices! As I mentioned earlier, I am an ultrasound student in Iowa City Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. I have certain days off through the week / available almost every weekend! I live at a graduate student / health care worker apartment complex with a dog park and lots of grass and greenery / walking trails all around the complex! Very animal friendly buildings. About: Hi! I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life and love caring for them through every stage. I trained my family’s mini Aussiedoodles, Millie and Mabel, and cared for my childhood dog, Tucker, as he aged and passed. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
