“Quinn loved the time she spent with Erin and family! It was great getting pictures while we were away as it let us see all of the fun Quinn was having with your family! We highly recommend you and will definitely bring Quinn back?”
“Katie was a perfect sitter for Nash! She gave him the attention and love he wanted, a great house to feel comfortable in and he almost didn’t want to leave!”

“Our dog had a wonderful stay! She was happy and well-cared for — treated like one of their own dogs. Thank you, Danielle and Jathan, for another great stay! We look forward to working with you again in the future.”

“Jonathan is great. He has done dog sitting for a few hours and boarding for several days for my 10 year old and 4 year old. You can leave your pet and know they’ll be taken care of and have a good time. He did great giving my younger girl her medication and making sure they get tons of activity and rest. They had a great time and I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my girls were safe and well taken care of.”

“Susan was incredibly professional and just an incredible pet sitter overall. Susan was very thorough and made sure that my dogs time away from me was going to be nothing but perfect. I can’t wait to be a frequent customer! The best sitter I’ve ever had by far!”

“This was our second time leaving Cooper with Joseph & Tasha and couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! They send updates and quick to respond when corresponding. Cooper is always super happy and exhausted after a stay with them- we will def be using them in the future!”

“Thank you Lisa and John for taking such great care of Buddy! The pictures you shared were priceless showing what a wonderful time he had with your boys and his furry friends! We appreciate you opening your home and providing a loving environment for him. Thank you!”

“Great communication, sent us photos/videos of our little guy’s stay, and was very accommodating and knowledgeable of our pup’s quarks and behaviors. Would recommend!”

“Susan was great! I would definitely use her again in the future. My dog seemed happy to be there the whole time and enjoyed hanging out with her dog. She sent updates and pictures everyday and handled his fear of thunderstorms with no issues. Thanks again!”

“We dropped our Leo, the Golden doodle for a 2 day try out with Matt and Jill, and had a very good experience. They took great care and provided us with updates and pictures regularly. We will be using them again.”

“It was our first time with Krista and everything went smoothly. Our dog is a senior and she took great care of her. She came home and we could tell she was comfortable for the week she stayed with Krista because she fell right back into her routine of eating and sleeping. We will use Kristas services again next time we have to leave our girl.”
“Dion is a wonderful, responsible caregiver. He is kind and thinks of all safety contingencies. He is the kind of caregiver that one wants to have. And he loves dogs and has a very nice one. Our small pup Susie has fears of thunderstorms and also of being touched in certain ways, and Dion quickly won her over. He even took her on three walks per day. I can’t recommend anyone more highly. If/when we go away on a trip, he will be our go-to person.”

“My pup had the best time with Kelti and Tanner! They were able to watch Ted last minute which was super helpful. They kept me update the whole time we were gone and my pup passed out the second we got home because he was so tired from playing all weekend! Would definitely ask them to watch my fur child again!”

About: I've grown up with both cats and dogs my whole life of all sizes! As a college student, I'm really missing my pets back home. I'm really looking forward to caring for others pets! As a college student, my availability is very flexible. Afternoons and evenings are the most ideal for me, however, I can still work in morning hours occasionally! Full availability offered during the weekends. Please let me know your pets preferences and I'll easily be able to accommodate for them🫶. I'm very happy to take your pet on walks or simply keep them company while you're away
“I needed a place to board my dog for a night while my husband and I went to a wedding. Our dog has been to standard daycare facilities but isn't fond of being left alone so we didn't like the idea of her staying in a kennel. Alison was really accommodating and assured us that our sweet girl would get plenty of attention and play time with her own dogs, which is perfect because our girl loves to make friends. We were afraid that she'd have trouble settling in because she's very attached to us, but we were put at ease when Alison sent a picture of our girl sleeping on a comfy couch. They also made sure she had her allergy meds and food. This is exactly the environment and attention our dog needs to be comfortable being away from us for a bit. Thank you so much for watching her!”

“They made me feel comfortable leaving my puppy with them. They sent pictures everyday and they had other dogs for my puppy to socialize with and a big back yard. Thank you William and Haley for taking care of Rocky!”

“Dawn was an excellent host. She has a wonderful house and fenced in yard where the dogs can run around. She has a great dog friendly house where the dogs have many places to sleep and roam around. She is well versed in pet care and comfortable with the dogs. She sends great photos and I always know that my dog is safe with her.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
