“Victoria is the best! She is so easy to communicate and really cares about the pets! She took the best care of our 2 dogs and sent amazing pictures! I can tell both boys loved her!”

“Debra was attentive, leaving great notes and photos each day so that I would be updated and kept in the loop. I was also lucky that she was able to work in my last minute job and offered to come by for a very last minute meet and greet which was so very appreciated! I would highly recommend!”

“Hayleigh was absolutely incredible during her check‑in visits with Luna and Charles over the past couple weeks. Her communication was flawless—transparent, detailed, and consistent every single day. I always knew exactly how the pups were doing, and it was clear they adored her. She cared for them as if they were her own, and that peace of mind is priceless. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

“Dave was very friendly, punctual, well groomed, and dependable. He came to our home for the meet and greet, and the animals responded very well to him, so we knew that he would be great. He sent pictures, he took our dog for walks, and we would definitely recommend him to anyone.”

“Stephanie was friendly and communicated well while taking care of our 3 cats while we were away. She gave great updates and dealt well with their different personalities and medications.”

“Kelly did an incredible job taking care of our babies. We felt good leaving them in her hands. She sent the cutest pictures and was consistent with her check in times. We would use her again 100 times!”

“Kassie was amazing, she arrived on schedule, had a great relationship with my two dogs and did everything and more to perform her job. I would highly recommend Kassie and would certainly use her agian.”

“I’m so glad my daughter recommended I try rover.com. Kristina kept me very well informed, loved on my doggies, brushed and cuddled them, sent pictures and gave me peace of mind. She’s a very dependable young lady and I will use her every time from now on. She not only walked, fed, cleaned up after, but hung out with my dogs. she even swept my floors, I came home to my house cleaner than it was when I left it! I can’t say enough good things about Kristina. (She’s also a good artist, she left a couple of drawings of the dogs which were really good! )”

About: I grew up with animals in my home for 25 years, both puppies and seniors! 💛 I have my own dog that I adopted from SPCA back in 2021. He is such a cuddle bug! He also gets along with all children and animals!😊 He is trained by me, but sometimes I think he has me trained too haha! I will work with all breeds and sizes! 🥰 I have worked at several different boarding/daycare facilities with many different breeds, personalities, medical conditions, and food requirements. 💗 I have given oral/injection medication as well! I understand a dog’s body language very well and understand if things need to be taken slow with your fur baby💕☺️ ‼️I will work with aggressive dogs to a certain extent, with an increase in price‼️ Book any day, any time (we can always adjust the times in conversation!) I am more than happy to check in and/or walk your loving pup! <3 I am always respectful and thoughtful! ☺️ Animals are my FAVORITE in the world, they bring me so much happiness, no matter the species or breed!🐾 I have always wanted to work in the animal industry, specifically in the zoology department!
“We usually use a family member to take care of our cats. Due to a scheduling conflict we needed outside help. Sara did a great job! She was great at sending several photos of my happy cats. Sara was even able to see and get a photo of my super scared cat (Odie) that no ever sees, that just doesn't happen. We asked Sara to stay for an hour to love on them so they would not feel so abandoned. She did just that and we have pictures showing how our needy/affectionate cat (Loki) just crawled all over her. The area around the food and water bowl was left clean and tidy. The liter box was cleaned regularly. Thank you for attention to detail. If they could talk I am sure they would ask for Sara again by name.”

“Laura did an amazing job taking care of our dog, cat, and kitten while we were away. She provided detailed updates with photos every day, was always responsive and available whenever we had questions, and clearly treated our pets with genuine care and attention. We came home to three happy, relaxed pets, which gave us great peace of mind throughout our trip. We highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional pet sitter, and we will definitely book with her again!”

About: I have had pets my whole life and most relatives and friends have asked me to pet sit! The longest I have pet sat has been a month. I currently work, but my schedule is on average six hours a day! I am available as long as we communicate with enough time . I usually follow whatever routine your bundle of joy usually uses, if I have any questions I’ll reach out! I promise not to deviate from your wishes.
“Mitch is the BEST! If you are debating who to use; use Mitch! He was able and willing to take over providing care for my dog last minute after the previous Rover sitter left my dog alone for over 24 hours. He made sure my dog was safe and given love and care. Mitch was a quick and clear communicator. Mitch sent me lots of pictures, videos and updates. Whole heartedly recommend Mitch!!”

About: I've always been a dog lover & have had dogs since childhood. My latest baby is a doxie-chi mix (11 lbs) and she is the sweetest girl who brings me much joy! My husband has a cattle dog mix (30 lbs) who is a big teddy bear too! We walk them everyday, take time to play & of course snuggles! I truly believe dogs (& ALL animals) deserve respect & exceptional care, & I will treat your fur baby with the utmost love & care! I enjoy the different personalities of dogs and really get a kick out of watching them; they make my heart smile!! When watching your pet, I will review with you a list of questions in order to make sure I know your fur baby & their schedule, likes & dislikes. Being a dog owner already and having a routine with my little one, taking care of other fur babies just comes naturally to me :-) My husband works from home and I am home weekdays by 2pm, so am available for dog walks as well as boarding. We have a fenced in yard, and the yard is a great size for running & playing. We have crates for our dog s we call it the night-night bed) but at night Hazel sleeps with me (& thinks she owns the bed! LOL) I have an extra crate in case your furbaby would like to have a little nap there instead of on the couch or the floor. We live in a great neighborhood with new families & older families, and everyone is very friendly. We have many dogs in the neighborhood & my girl loves to go on walks to say hello to everyone.

About: My neighbors have trusted me for years to look after their dogs, cats, and bunnies. Both elderly and baby animals all safe and very happy. Also side note if you ask I recently got a new camera and I can take pictures of your pets for you, id do it for free I need the practice anyways! I work at crumbl part time(2pm-10:3pm and 3-11:3weekends) I can visit 2 times a day providing exercise and games to keep your pets active. Im particular about my work, and I will keep an eye out for anything out of place In my clients house I play fetch, clean the water bowl every 2-3 days, and ensure it is a clean and enjoyable environment per personality.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Amelia
Exceptional! David took care of our two dogs & 3 cats during a short vacation for our family. He was available to us relatively last minute, handled our (at times) difficult pup with patience and excellent care (they became fast friends!), and kept us fully updated with check-ins and photos. And on the day of our return when our flight was delayed then cancelled, David accommodated two additional visits very literally at the last minute. We were so grateful for his availability and care! There’s not enough gratitude I could extend here and highly recommend his care. Thank you David, again, for going above and beyond for our crew!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
