“Sara was great with our shy cat. She was punctual and reliable for our long stay away from home, and provided regular updates and pictures. We will be booking with Sara again!”

“Peyten is very friendly, responsive and flexible. She is great with my pup Luna! She does drop in walks and plays with Luna mid day. Would recommend her services and will continue to use Peyten in the future!”

About: Hi! I’m Heather — a stay-at-home foster mom, runner, dog lover, and experienced foster/service dog handler based in Batavia, Ohio. After years in corporate recruiting, I’m finally leaning into a life that feels a little more like me — being home with our foster son, spending more time with dogs, being outside, going on walks, and building something slower and more meaningful here in Ohio. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve helped foster and raise more than 50 dogs over the years, including service dogs in training, and I’m also a certified volunteer through the Clermont County Animal Shelter where I walk dogs, take dogs on day trips, and foster here in Ohio. Before moving here, I also helped watch and walk dogs for friends, family, neighbors, and foster connections in Minnesota. I genuinely love all breeds and personalities and really enjoy getting to know what makes each dog unique. Since I’m home most of the day, dogs here get lots of supervision, outdoor time, enrichment, walks, naps, snuggles, and attention throughout the day. We also have a fully fenced yard and two friendly Labs that love having dog friends around. I know how hard it can be leaving your dog with someone else, so I’m big on communication and love sending lots of photo updates throughout their stay so you know they’re happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. Dogs receive regular potty breaks, supervised outdoor time, meals on their normal schedule, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Because I’m not away for long workdays, pets spend very little time alone and are part of our family’s daily activities. Safety is my top priority. We have a fully fenced yard and two friendly Labrador Retrievers who are used to having other dogs around. I’ve fostered and raised more than 50 dogs, including service dogs in training, and I’m comfortable managing different personalities, routines, crate schedules, medications, and introductions. Meet & greets are required before all new boarding stays so we can make sure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good fit for both your dog and our home. I want every dog to feel safe, successful, and stress-free during their stay.
“Christine was super helpful and lovely to work with. Biscuit really loved her and sent lots of pictures while i was away making my first time away with her as pleasant as it could be. thank you!!”

“Avery is amazing!! The only cat sitter I hire. She is attentive and loves my cats. She keeps me informed and sends lots of pictures. My vacations are so much more enjoyable knowing she is checking on them daily. I will never use anyone else. She is the best!!”

About: For over 10 years, I had the privilege of caring for animals at a pet boarding resort. To build lasting relationships with families and their pets were a true joy. I was a loyal employee at Country Lane Pet Resort for so long, but after that, I was available to volunteer and help out where they needed me. I have so much experience when it comes to caring for and understanding what your pet/pets need. I look forward to getting to meet so many new fur friends. Thank you for your trust. I'm currently a stay at home mom to one daughter and am available for frequent drop in visits or long walks, playtime and as always, tender loving care! I will care for your pet in your home following all your requested wants and needs and to my fullest love and attention. Your furbaby will always be treated kindly and as if they were my own. Thank you for your trust.
“Margo took great care of my crazy Pup! She was very communicative and made sure he was thoroughly entertained and comfortable during her visits, which made me feel so at ease while I was away. The adorable pictures she sent were also a huge plus ☺️ She is definitely my go-to sitter from now on!!”

“Kimberly was, once again, a lifesaver while we were away for the holidays! She cared for our kitties so well and even went the extra mile to help out when one of them began vomiting a lot. We will be booking Kimberly as long as we can!”

About: Hi there! My name is Amanda! I am currently 25 years old and one major thing about me is that I will love any pet like my own. I have never met a dog I haven't loved and truly I just don’t think it’s in the cards for me! As for experiences with pet sitting, my first experience was in high school. I would help care for pets of close relatives when they went out of town on weekends, as well as, provided walks and feedings on date nights. It was such an incredible feeling, not only getting to spend time and care for pets outside of my home but to be trusted enough within their loving homes. Little did 17 year old me know what was to come. At 18 I started being reached out to by friends of friends and more distant relatives, simply by word of mouth. It felt like a dream and still does to this day that people speak so kindly of me without any hesitation. I quickly realized just how fulfilling and passionate I am about caring for pets and soon applied and got accepted to work part time at a dog boarding center for 3 years, alongside my personal pet sitting gigs. As loving and supportive my coworkers and I tried to make it, it truly never did compare to the at home services I was simultaneously doing. Working there truly transformed my views on just how valuable and meaningful it is for both the pets and parents to feel loved and cared for in the safety and comfort of their own home, and how important and special it is to stay on their selected routines in a timely manner. As many can assume, caring for 20ish dogs at a time is much less personalized and catered towards them as a whole rather than their specific needs. I started to feel bothered and would find myself frustrated when dogs I learned to love so much were not taken care of in ways they deserved. Some on the more nervous and anxious side were put into situations they were not comfortable in and was heart wrenching to know they would so much rather be cared for at homes. Now stating this, of course some dogs are cut out for the rambunctious and social life and love it, although, definitely not all and leaving the facility was a hard but dedicated decision to put in my upmost effort to provide for dogs with detailed and trusted care at all hours, catered towards each lifestyle individually. I now currently have a list of almost 20 clients, some from when I was 17, to some I have just met this past year who reach out to me for animal care. I can’t help but assume more dogs could be cared for one-on-one under personal comforting care and I would love nothing more than to continue and expand my journey on loving and caring for pets locally around the Cincinnati area! I have a very flexible schedule at the moment. I currently nanny part time as well as work part time for concerts under live nation entertainment. Pet sitting truly has become my main focus especially this year so I value part time jobs that currently give me great amounts of flexibility and freedom to change and switch around schedules when and if ever needed! Alongside providing specialized care for pets, I fully endorse the upmost respect for people inviting me into their homes. I understand how important trust and communication is from both sides and how every home security is catered different towards one another. I find myself constantly double checking locked doors and really treat each home like my own, following all instructions given by the home owner.
“Corey was great. She kept us informed about our kitten/cat while we were away over Thanksgiving, and everything was in great shape when we got home. We have a Houdini cat who can scoot out of the door quicker than anything, but she outsmarted him, saving him from coyotes who regularly dine on little cats in our neighborhood.”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs and others dog's for over 10 years now. My family and I have 3 dogs currently and have owned 6 dogs throughout my life of varying sizes. I have dog sat and walked dogs for many of my friends and family over the years with the dogs being in size ranges as big as Great Danes down to little Griffons. In addition I have bathed and brushed dogs for years as well. I of course am also very affectionate towards any dogs, making sure to give them lots of pets and scratches. I will be available between 10 AM-6 PM every weekday unless specified otherwise, though days and hours are mutable and can be subject to change in the future. If I decide to change my hours/days all clients will be notified of the change with ample time to figure something out between us if need be. I will show your dog affection and make sure they have enough food and water as needed. I can also differ my services based off what my client needs. For example during a drop in I can wear out your overly excited puppy, I can clean your litterbox, or I can just lay down and chill with your older dog who just needs some pets and attention. I am easygoing and can work with any client.

About: I have taken care of dogs on and off all my life different sizes, ages, and personalities. I provide walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and lots of attention to help pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I understand the importance of following each pet’s routine and keeping owners updated. My goal is to give every pet the same care, patience, and affection that I would give my own. I work part time as well as side jobs as I am home from college for the summer. Lots of free time during the day. In clients’ homes, I respect their space while ensuring pets receive plenty of attention, supervision, and care. About: I walked the dog of the kid that I nannied for this past year. Woody was a shy and fearful dog who showed me the true meaning of trust! I’m currently applying and interviewing for part time clinical positions, however I would love to create a weekly routine walking and taking care of pets when I can! I pride myself on attention to detail and care when taking care of pets and people. I am also thoroughly responsible and loving when it comes to caregiving. However, safety is the top priority!
“Jessica was attentive, sincere, and happy to engage our cat above and beyond our expectations. We had just laid out for her to feed and make sure he got his pill, but she also spent time socializing, playing, and even cleaned out the cat box without us asking her to. We thought he loved us, until we saw the photos she sent from her visits. She won him over and surely made our absence more bearable for him. 11/10 will contact again next time we need a cat sitter!”
“Naomi took excellent care of our Kitties! With her knowledge & love for all cats we felt fortunate & confident with our Kitties in her care. Her attention to bringing in the mail & daily photos/videos was an extra bonus! 5🌟 all the way! We will rebook and would highly recommend!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
