“Great communication, sent us photos/videos of our little guy’s stay, and was very accommodating and knowledgeable of our pup’s quarks and behaviors. Would recommend!”

“Katie did such a great job watching Reggie while my husband and I were out of town for a few days! We received plenty of updates and could tell he was well taken care of when we picked him up. Will definitely be using Katie again!”

“Ainura did an EXCELLENT Job with my 3 Yorkies while I left out of the country to Dubai. I was updated daily with pictures on my dogs. This has been the best service provider I’ve received on here. Definitely will recommend and use again! ?????”

“Hazbleydy I. & her husband were great! My dog can be very anxious and is usually not fond of new people but she had a great time at their house. Hazbleydy kept me updated with pictures the entire time, and even went out to get supplies for my dog that had ran out of during the stay. I would highly recommend her!”

“Finn left Holly’s worn out and with a new best friend! Getting pictures of Finn and Millie together made us feel so happy knowing he was having a good time while we were away. We will definitely be using Holly again!”

“Krista and her husband are wonderful! We have boarded our Marigold with them several times. She receives great care in a family environment where their little boy and dog Stella make her welcome. Thank you!!”

“Stephanie and her family took great care of our dog. She sent daily updates and photos and we could tell he was totally happy & relaxed in the pictures. So grateful for the experience she provided for our dog & our family.”
“I would undoubtedly recommend Jenny to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog! Her communication was excellent both before and during the stay (she sent daily updates and pictures of Piper!) Piper was so well taken care of! She loved the walks Jenny took her on! I was nervous using Rover for the first time but now know I have someone reliable to care for Piper when we’re away!”

“Katie and her family took such good care of our pup! The videos and photos they sent made me confident that I had picked the right person to care for our baby! Would 100% recommend to anyone!”

“Josie had an excellent stay with Aparajita. I had received photo/video updates consistently each day during Josie’s stay. It was basically doggy vacation as there were other doggy friends for Josie to play with, along with plenty of yard space and she even got the splash pad out after finding out that Josie loves water. Aparajita was kind enough to give Josie a bath and wash the towels we sent along with her. Will definitely be booking again and I highly recommend booking with Aparajita!”
“Susan we great with our oddball fogs, Baxter and Wiley. Both dogs have anxiety issues and Susan was great to make them as comfortable as can be. She had 2 other dogs that she was sitting at the time and Baxter loved running the yard with them both. Wiley seemed to like the recliners in her “dog pad” in the basement. Without a doubt, we will call on Susan again!”

“Jane is wonderful with Oliver, our 4 year old labradoodle. She treats him like her own dog. She’s very loving and patient. She is easy to work with and always eager to please. Oliver is very relaxed and happy when we pick him up, unlike when we pick him up from a noisy kennel. We will be using her again and again.”

“I have used Abbie several times now and she takes great care of my puppy! She takes precautions to make sure all dogs get along, and I know Clara loves her time there! She is good about sending photo or video updates.”

“I needed a place to board my dog for a night while my husband and I went to a wedding. Our dog has been to standard daycare facilities but isn't fond of being left alone so we didn't like the idea of her staying in a kennel. Alison was really accommodating and assured us that our sweet girl would get plenty of attention and play time with her own dogs, which is perfect because our girl loves to make friends. We were afraid that she'd have trouble settling in because she's very attached to us, but we were put at ease when Alison sent a picture of our girl sleeping on a comfy couch. They also made sure she had her allergy meds and food. This is exactly the environment and attention our dog needs to be comfortable being away from us for a bit. Thank you so much for watching her!”

“I was so nervous about leaving our newly rescued bulldog when we went on our first trip. Paula and Thom put all of my worries at ease instantly. Clearly dog-people, they showed him great attention during our meet and greet, asked thoughtful questions about his personality and preferences, and demonstrated a real knowledge and care for dogs. During our trip, I received frequent photos, which I appreciated immensely. Mack seemed to settle right in and make himself at home. Thank you, Paula and Thom, for your thoughtful care of Mack!”

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
