“Vera is an exceptional dog sitter. I have a little dog that often gets nervous and anxious around new situations but he warmed right up to her. She sent me pictures and checked in and he was obviously well cared for and had lots of cuddles. The only reason I would not recommend Vera is she would become very busy and I wouldn't be able to hire her again! I do highly recommend her and will reach out again when her services are needed.”

“Savana was great with my 7 month old Beagle for the weekend! She was willing to meet beforehand for a meet & greet, & accommodated my requests very well. I heard Margo & her dog had a lot of fun together. She also sent photos & videos throughout the stay. Would highly recommend Savana!”

About: If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing home where your dog will truly be treated like part of the family, we’d love to have them stay with us. I’ve been around animals my whole life, and for the first time, we don’t currently have a dog after losing our sweet pup. We’re not quite ready to get another one yet, but we really miss having a dog around and are excited to share that love by caring for yours. We have a large, fully fenced yard where your dog can run, play, and get their energy out, plus we’re happy to go on walks or just hang out outside depending on what your dog enjoys. Inside, dogs are welcome on the furniture and even the beds if that’s what they’re used to. We also have a big comfy dog bed. Your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, and care based on their personality and routine. I’m comfortable with all breeds and happy to give medications if needed. We do have three cats, but they can be kept separate if that makes things easier. Our 6-year-old son loves dogs and enjoys helping give them lots of extra attention, always with supervision. We really miss having a dog in our home, and being able to care for yours means a lot to us. Our goal is simple. We want your dog to feel safe, happy, and right at home from the moment they walk in. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine since I’m currently enrolled in online college and am home throughout the day. With a busy household and four kids, there is almost always someone home, so your dog will have plenty of supervision, attention, and companionship. I’m able to provide consistent care, regular potty breaks, playtime, and a flexible schedule to match your dog’s needs. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In our home, dogs are cared for in a relaxed, family-style environment where they are treated like one of our own. We have a large, fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play, and dogs are always supervised while outside. Inside, they are welcome on furniture and can settle in wherever they feel most comfortable. We only accept one dog at a time unless they are from the same family.
“Lindsay was awesome with our older yorkie. She kept in touch, sent pictures and made sure our fur babe was being cared for. We would definitely love to have Lindsay watch our pup again in a heart beat!”

“Outstanding dog sitter We can’t say enough great things about Alison! From the moment we met, we knew Buddy was in the best hands. She was warm, professional, and clearly experienced with dogs. Having her dogs with Buddy was an added bonus as they got along great. Throughout the stay, we loved getting pictures and regular updates and thoughtful check-ins that gave me total peace of mind. We will definitely use Alison again!”

About: I've had a lot of dogs in my life since I was very little that I have helped watch or care for. I help watch my relatives dogs when they are out on vacation or just gone for a few days. They've always relied on me to help them out and of course I did! I was always willing to take their dogs to care for if others they asked first couldn't do so. I've bathe and fed their pets as if they were just like mine to love and care for while in my hands! I'm a part timer so I would definitely have enough time to care for other pets in my hands! I also always try to find a way to work my schedule as best as I can. I don't have a fenced yard but I always put their leashes on and walk them out to use bathrooms or small walks around the yard or sidewalks. I keep watch on them all times and play with their toys or interacting any way to ensure they're having fun great times with me!
About: I grew up with many family pets and helped care for them. I have worked professionally at day care and boarding/training facilities. In 2011 I acquired a Veterinary Assisting Diploma from Horizon School of Veterinary Assisting. My schedule is very flexible at the moment, most days I am available. We can talk and figure out what would work best for you and your companion animal. I will respect your animals current routine already in place and follow through with daily care needs as if you would for them in your home.
“We were nervous to leave our Bernie girl for the first time, but Allyson was wonderful both up until our trip and during. Lots of updates and photos and excellent communication. We will definitely use her services again!”

I am home on the weekends. Your pets would get lot of love and affection I do have a big back yard. I live on a dead end road that makes it easy to give dogs walks. I do put my dogs in my laundry room when I'm not home
“Hadyn was beyond incredible. Our sweet dog who is normally full of anxiety had none with her. She was fantastic in sending photos and videos with her updates. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again. A+++”

“Alia was great! She is responsive, usually responds within the day of messaging her. Sent pictures and kept us updated, let us know of any concerns, and overall great! Our dog is very high energy and we can tell she knows how to handle that kind of dog because when we picked our dog up she was very happy and tired.”

About: I have had a dog since I was 8 years old. I am well experienced in walking, feeding, bathing, etc. dogs. I have never met a dog I haven’t liked and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. My dog is currently a senior dog so I am familiar with caring for older dogs. I am currently in graduate school so i have classes in the morning/afternoon but my evenings are very open to walk or care for your pets!! When caring in a clients home, I make sure to get clear instructions on how to efficiently care for their pet. I make sure I understand their schedule and follow it closely. I also make some time to let the pet get used to me before I do what I need to do to make sure they are comfortable.
“Lynn & her husband were a hospitable, kind and wonderful environment for our senior dog to leave in during a vacation. We did a meet & greet and I could tell that they were dog lovers and had a kind attitude towards dogs. They also made sure that our dog was not alone at all due to their sensitive and kind attitude. I would highly recommend them for your dog care.”

“Dessirae is the best! This was our dogs' first stay with her, and it was great! The dogs loved her and her home. The dogs were not entirely sure that they wanted to return home with me, when I showed up to retrieve them today. I only hope that they were well behaved, as we hope that they will have future stays with her.”

“Michael did great with my two dogs. At our meet and greet, both dogs were instantly comfortable with Michael. Michael sent me pictures and updates each day of the boarding. I plan to use Michael again, and strongly recommend him to watch your dogs!”

About: I have worked for roughly two years dog sitting for friends and family. Typically these have been in my own home - occasionally overnight. I have a fenced in back yard for my 3 dogs & 2 cats so I have experience with both :) I have complete availability currently, so my dog at home gets quite a lot of walks and park time. If possible, i also try to socialize him with people each day. Typically I take my dog to the dog park in the evening with a long walk in the morning. This works best for my dogs energy levels, but each dog is different. I am also trying to socialize my dog in public as he is a bit scared of humans so we try to hit some breweries here and there.

About: i've always been an animal lover & have owned dogs, or they've owned me, for most of my life. people in the town i live in call me the dog lady since they see me walking my dog so often. my latest dog is a 8yr old australian shepherd rescue that i've been working with to overcome her separation issues. i'll treat your dog with as much love & care as i do my own. i look forward to getting to know your dog & working to him/her. please let me know if there are any issues you're working to correct with your pet. i'll work with you to resolve the problem to make your pet the envy of other dog owners. thank for your consideration.
Altoona pet parents share their Rover experiences
We absolutely LOVE having Rudy spend time at Kim’s house! He is always so well cared for and truly seems to enjoy every visit. This past stay, he made himself completely at home — one night sleeping between Kim and her husband, and another night cozied up with one of her kiddos 😆 One of the biggest indicators for us (besides his chosen sleeping arrangements!) is that he feels comfortable enough to eat all of his food. When we’ve left him with other sitters in the past, he sometimes hasn’t eaten much, so that says a lot about how relaxed and happy he is with Kim and her family. While every dog is different and I can’t promise other pups will settle in quite like Rudy does, we always feel so at ease knowing he’s genuinely loved and well cared for while we’re away. Thank you, Kim and family!
