Top rated Altoona house sitters

“I was so nervous hiring a dog sitter but our usual family sitters were unavailable for our vacation. Adrian assured me that the dogs would be okay and gave our pups the time and space they needed to feel comfortable with a new sitter. She texted me updates frequently while we were away. It was so nice not having to worry about our animals while we were on our family vacation. She did an excellent job with our senior dog with special needs and a nervous Aussie. The icing on the cake was coming home to a clean house after a long day of travel back home. We will definitely book Adrian again if we need a sitter!”

About: Hi, I’m Nikki—lifelong animal lover, dog mom, and the human behind Fetching Feldy’s Handmade Pet Boutique. Whether your dog thrives on sniff walks, enrichment games, trail time, or just a consistent routine, I’ll tailor each visit to what keeps them happiest. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, guinea pigs, rats, snakes, and even owned a bearded dragon. Whether it’s fur, feathers, or scales, I focus on building trust and providing care that fits your pet’s personality and needs. I’m experienced with oral medications (pill or syringe), training reinforcement, and keeping pets safe, calm, and enriched while you’re away. My dog, Tillie, is proof that patience and consistency work—she’s been complimented as “the best behaved dog I’ve ever seen,” and I trained her from puppyhood. When I wanted to take an advanced-level class that usually required multiple prerequisite courses, I shared her skills with the trainer and they let us in. She did great! Training and enrichment are part of our everyday life—on and off the trail. If you're looking for someone who truly gets animals, respects their needs, and cares for them like family, I’d love to connect. I have the unique advantage of creating my own schedule, as I am the owner and creator of Fetching Feldy's Pet Boutique. This flexibility is incredibly beneficial, as it allows me to prioritize and seamlessly integrate pet care into my daily and weekly routine. Unlike a rigid 9-to-5 job, my hours are designed around my commitments, meaning I can easily: -Schedule visits precisely: I can block out specific times for walks, drop-ins, or house-sitting without conflict, ensuring punctuality and consistent care for your pet. -Be responsive: My flexible hours mean I'm often available to respond quickly to booking requests, last-minute needs, or simply check in with you during the day. -Focus entirely on your pet: When I'm caring for your pet, they have my full attention. My boutique work can be adapted around their needs, not the other way around. My own dog, Tillie, is an integral part of my life, so I deeply understand the importance of routine, exercise, and companionship for pets. Crafting bandanas for Fetching Feldy's often happens around Tillie's walks and playtimes, and extending that same dedicated, pet-centric care to others feels like a natural and fulfilling part of my day. Ultimately, my business structure is built on flexibility and a love for pets, making me a reliable and dedicated choice for your pet care needs. My approach to pet care, regardless of the service, is rooted in safety, communication, and a genuine love for animals. Every pet is unique, and my priority is always to provide personalized care that mirrors their own home routine, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and loved in your absence. 1. For all services, you can expect: -Safety First: I prioritize your pet's well-being above all else, ensuring a secure environment and adhering strictly to your instructions. -Clear Communication: Regular updates, photos, and quick responses to any questions are a given. You'll always know how your furry family member is doing. -Respect for Your Home: I treat your home with the utmost respect, maintaining cleanliness and privacy as if it were my own. 2. House-Sitting (Caring for Pets & Home in Your Absence): When I'm house-sitting, I become a responsible and caring temporary guardian for both your pets and your home. My goal is to maintain your pets' routine as seamlessly as possible, minimizing their stress and providing them with constant companionship and care. -Dedicated Presence: I stay overnight in your home, providing around-the-clock comfort and security for your pets. They won't feel lonely or anxious. -Routine Adherence: I meticulously follow your detailed instructions for feeding schedules, medication administration, exercise routines, playtimes, and bedtimes. Consistency is key for a happy pet. -Home & Pet Security: Beyond pet care, I ensure your home remains secure, bringing in mail/packages, watering plants, and maintaining a lived-in appearance. -Comfort & Play: We'll enjoy plenty of cuddles, playtime, and enrichment tailored to your pet's needs and preferences. -Regular Updates: You'll receive daily updates with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pets are thriving. 3. Drop-In Visits (Brief, Focused Care in Your Home): Drop-in visits are perfect for providing essential care, comfort, and potty breaks when you're away for shorter periods. My visits are thorough and designed to ensure your pet's immediate needs are met. -Timely & Reliable: I arrive promptly at our scheduled times to maintain your pet's routine. -Basic Needs & Beyond: Each visit includes fresh food and water, dedicated potty breaks, and a thorough check of their environment. -Enrichment & Play: Depending on the visit length, we'll include playtime, cuddles, or mental stimulation to keep your pet happy and engaged. -Home Check: I'll also do a quick check of your home to ensure everything is secure and clean up any pet-related messes. -Visit Summaries: After each visit, you'll receive a detailed report and photos, outlining what we did, how your pet ate, and their bathroom activity. 4. Dog Walking (Exercise & Fresh Air): Dog walks are more than just potty breaks – they're opportunities for exercise, mental stimulation, and enjoyment of the outdoors. I focus on making each walk safe, fun, and tailored to your dog's energy level. -Safe & Controlled Walks: I use secure leashes and harnesses, remain attentive to surroundings (weather, other dogs, people), and practice positive reinforcement. -Tailored Exercise: Whether your dog needs a brisk power walk, a leisurely stroll, or time for sniffing and exploring, I adapt the walk to their individual needs and your preferences. -Hydration & Relief: Potty breaks are always a priority, and I ensure your dog has access to water during and after the walk, especially on warmer days. I always pick up after your dog. -Behavioral Awareness: I pay close attention to your dog's cues and behavior, ensuring a positive and stress-free experience. -Walk Updates: You'll receive a summary of our walk, including distance covered, potty breaks, and any notable observations or fun moments. By choosing me, you're choosing a dedicated and responsible pet care provider who genuinely cares for your beloved companions and respects your home. I look forward to meeting you and your pet family!

About: I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits and fish over the years. Personally, I’ve owned dogs, cats, and rabbits myself. Most notably I’ve cared for small breed dogs but I have plenty of experience with large breeds. Currently I’m waiting on starting my new job so I have plenty of time to care for your pet. Though I prefer overnighting or afternoon/evening care, I can do days as well. I can not care for pets in my own home. I live in an apartment and have little room for a pet to move around.

About: I've been around animals my whole life. In fact, I was born into a home with a dog, and caring for pets has been second nature ever since. I regularly care for my parents’ neighbor’s two dogs and cat, and I’ve helped out with pets for family friends over the years. I don’t have a pet right now, but I’ve helped take care of pets for friends and family. I make sure to stick to feeding times, walks, and playtime. I enjoy spending time with animals and make sure they feel safe and cared for. I care for pets in my client’s home by following their specific instructions to make sure the pet stays comfortable and happy. This includes feeding, giving fresh water, cleaning up after them, and providing exercise or playtime based on what the pet needs. I also spend time with the pet to give them attention and make sure they feel safe while their owner is away. I always respect the home and keep everything clean and tidy

“they were so flexible and dependable! ❤️ sent a picture every day and communicated well :) we knew eli would be in good hands while we were away, we’ll be booking again in may! 🐾”

About: Hello I'm Elliot! I have grown up around animals my whole life- we've had a Pomeranian Chihuahua named Kirby for about 11 years now and I take care of him frequently when I'm back home from college and over the summer. I also have two guinea pigs of my own, and have had a hedgehog in the past so I am very well versed in smaller pets! I frequently took care of pets for my neighbors and friends when I was younger, including cats, fish, and many many dogs! I was also involved in the Lincoln Children's Zoo-crew volunteer program for 4 years, where I spent time learning how to take care of all kinds of animals. I currently co parents a cat with my partner, and have always had a special place in my heart for cats! I also enjoy volunteering at the ECCHA in my free time with their cats. I am currently located in Eau Claire, WI for all your pet care needs! As of right now I have availability on most Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends unless otherwise indicated on my calendar. I’m available for drop in, walks, and even house sitting! I am unable to bring other pets into my home because I do have pets of my own and due to tenant restrictions, however, I am more than happy to visit your furry friends in your home or take them on walks outside the house! I prioritize any instructions you give me and want to make sure they feel at home no matter where they are.

About: I’ve always loved dogs and getting to play with or pet them. Over the last 6 years, I’ve been able to watch my sister’s 2 dogs both during the day and overnight. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I’m busy during the day some weekdays, but I’m available for overnight stays and weekend care to provide attentive, reliable care for your dog while you are away. I’ll follow any instructions you leave and stick to your dog’s routine so they feel safe and comfortable. I’ll also treat your home with respect and care, making sure everything is just as you left it.
