“It is wonderful to have David take care of kitty drop ins for our 2 fur babies again. We are grateful to have a trustworthy and reliable person to care for Carly and Augie when we are away.”

About: From 2022-2024 I worked at a dog training and boarding facility part-time in college and full-time in summers. Here I was trained in reading dog body language and mannerisms. Daily I did multiple cleanings of their spaces, fed meals, provided 1:1 playtime, and aided in giving medications. Since then I've been doing house sitting and dog walking for friends and family. I am experienced in giving meditations and working with puppies and geriatric dogs. I am currently a college student but I only have two in person classes and a part time job. I am able to come multiple times a day including early mornings and nights. I like to do a couple play times during the day and have time to settle at night before bedtime. I am able to perform any tasks necessary to keep your pet comfortable and on schedule.
“Denise was so easy to work with and fit me in last minute. My dog really took to her and she doesn’t usually warm up very quickly. I would definitely recommend and use her again in the future”

“Justina did an excellent job caring for our three cats while we were away. She provided frequent updates and amazing photos that gave us peace of mind and showed that our fur babies were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It was clear she took the time to make sure they received plenty of attention and care during each visit. We came home to three happy cats and felt completely confident that they were in good hands while we were gone. We highly recommend Justina and will definitely be booking with her again in the future! 🐾💕”

“Amanda made sure our cat Archie was well taken care of while away and even watered our outside flowers. We appreciate you and will definitely reach out to you on our next getaway!!”

“Tetiana was fabulous! She communicated prior to the check-ins to ensure she had all the details about the dogs covered. She followed all of our instructions, stayed the entire visit to play with the dogs, and sent updates and photos. At the end of the visit when she left she gave one final update on the dogs to let us know how they were throughout the trip. I came home to two happy puppies worth every penny! I would highly recommend her if you are I need of someone caring and detail oriented to look over your dogs.”

About: I Love dogs, since my dog has passed away several years ago I enjoy pet sitting to fill the void. Animals are love. Your animal will be cared for and loved the way you would. We have a fenced in yard which your animal can play in and he will not be ignored or cooped up. We have had many dogs in the past but do not currently have one. Good with large dogs, or all sizes, really, Many people have trusted us with their dogs but now I am trying this service hoping it works well on all ends, it seems like a good idea. Your animal will be in a safe environment and you can get regular updates. Thank you for considering me. I am currently tele commuting working from home. Your dog won't be left alone for hours on end and will not be ignored. Usually home 7 days a week The yard is fenced in, and I have also been using an apple air tag as an extra level of security. Making sure your dog never gets away is the highest priority.
“Cindy was great with our cats. Came in on time for the visits, we had very good communication - received updates, pictures and follow up texts. We would highly recommend her and we'll definitely ask her to take care of our cats again.”

“Theresa was absolutely the best with my dog Sissy. She had great communication, was timely, and an absolute blessing to find for Sissy. Thank you so much! We will be booking again for sure!”

“Melissa went above and beyond all of our expectations for her. We were contacted with pictures and text letting us know how our dog was doing each time she came to house. A++++. Fully recommend Melissa to anyone who needs a pet sitter. ”

About: I've been around animals my whole life chickens, cats, dogs, ect and I've had my own dog for about 7 and a half years while taking care of other people's dogs and cats I'm pretty flexible with my schedule and right now, my current job schedule is 3p-11p every Friday and 3p-11p every other weekend. By the end of August I will be busy on Wednesday afternoons I have my own car so in the event of any mishap, emergency, or just a change of scenery for your pet I can provide that. I'm also very detail oriented so I ask many questions to ensure I know as much as possible about your pet so that they can be safe and happy in your absence.

“Lorraine is seriously the best!! So caring and responsible! She took the time to listen to my concerns with my puppy and has met and exceeded every expectation!! Would highly recommend her!!”

About: I’ve had small dogs my whole life and am a lifelong animal lover. I also have experience caring for mice, guinea pigs, bunnies, and cats. For the past 8 months, I’ve volunteered at an animal shelter, working with dogs and cats of all personalities, and handling tasks like cleaning litter boxes, cages, and more. "I’m currently focused on volunteering at the shelter, so my schedule is very flexible. I have plenty of time to help out whenever and wherever I’m needed. I can currently only accept cats who are friendly with other cats, as I have two of my own. I’m also able to take in guinea pigs, with extra cages already set up.
About: I’ve been caring for pets as long as I can remember. I’ve lived with large and small dogs, old and young, as well as cats and reptiles. I work from home so I have flexibility and availability throughout most of the day. I can take my job anywhere so I have time to dedicate to your pet! I’ve always showed dedication, care, comfort, and love to any animal I’ve known and met. All animals deserve to be loved and cared for with the same care as any person.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Allentown
Five stars is not enough. This was the first time we used a pet sitting service for our cat DeeDee during our vacation, as our friends and neighbors who normally perform this function were not available. We were a quite apprehensive at first about letting a complete stranger into the house and entrusting her our cat for three weeks, with us being abroad many hours away, but our concerns were quickly put to rest when we met Tetiana in our initial get to know meeting. Not just her very pleasant personality, but the sincerity, passion and clear sense of responsibility she showed for her role, convinced us that we had found the right person for this task. After just returning from our trip, during which we received daily status updates from Tetiana, and finding DeeDee well and not the least traumatized, we have to say Tetiana could not have done a better job. There is no question whatsoever that we will ask Tetiana again to take care of our cat when the need arises. In fact, we will adjust our future vacation schedule if necessary to make sure Tetiana is available. THANK YOU, Tetiana, for enabling us to enjoy our vacation without worrying about DeeDee! You did an awesome job!
I was really nervous to have my 2 cats pet-sat for the first time, but there was no reason to be! Justina was awesome, and my cats loved her, even the fickle Siamese one. 😂 During the 9 days my husband and I were gone, she provided liberal amounts of photos and updates. She also left our house clean and tidy afterwards. We will definitely use her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Allentown. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
