I have more of an open schedule to add new clients since recently moving back to east coast. I can accommodate letting dogs out earlier and am very active when it comes to giving pets time outside, outdoor walks and exercise aside from play time.

I like to keep their schedule as normal as possible since having their human away from them is change enough. I am trained in pet first aid and have saved animals that were choking, helped them during seizures, found, removed and treated tick, flea and bee bites. Very attentive to pets with allergies, dietary restrictions, sicknesses, paraplegic, pets that need to wear diapers or cones, experience with stopping bleeding from open wounds. Familiar with certain health issues that are common among specific breeds.

I have experience handling & living with dogs with aggression & anxiety issues. Please be honest if your dog is aggressive with other dogs, animals, other people or only men to keep everyone safe and happy. Please be honest if your dog is trained to play off leash.
A typical day
I have tons of energy and love to hike and run on trails safe for dogs to be dogs. I love being outdoors. Playing games, teaching how to fetch and letting high-energy dogs stretch their legs with a fun run at one of the many parks in NY. Dogs should get to roll in the grass and enjoy the sunshine as much as possible. Pet safety is the most important, I exercise/play with dogs according to their needs and never risk their safety when temperatures are too hot or cold for certain activities.

Hello I'm Ja, originally from NYC! I loved raising & training my large hunting/ hound dogs. After they passed I would volunteer at animal shelters, teaching Pitbulls tricks so they would get adopted & walking/giving attention to older dogs with health needs that would get overlooked. I have a calming presence that surprises owners with non-friendly or anxious dogs. We need their love & attention as much as they need ours & that's what they get with me. I'm playful, fun and will shower your pet with affection. Besides fun, dogs need a firm & consistent leader, good behavior is rewarded with praise. Dogs should always recognize who is in charge & as dog-parents you can be confident their safety & best interests are cared for when I lead them.

Our 3 kitties absolutely love Ja! She's a true lover of animals and understands how hard it is to leave our babies at home when we leave. She provides stellar communication with photos, has very good attention to detail, asks questions, and spends real quality time with the kitties. We feel incredibly at ease when Ja is looking after our little pack!

Ja-Laurel was a great sitter for our two dogs in some challenging circumstances. She took tremendous care of our dogs through a major heatwave and the July 4th fireworks. They were both well hydrated and calm the whole weekend.
Ja is great! She took such good care of Odie! We came back to a very happy very settled pup! Everything was left super clean and Ja was perfectly communicative the whole day! 10/10 would recommend!
