About: I have had both dogs and cats since a young child, multiple at a time. I have petsit for many family friends for years and am usually the go to person for them as their pets are comfortable around me. I've owned dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and birds! I work 8 hours a day, from 7am-3:30pm but I have a 30 min drive to and from work (I work in Tempe!) so my availability for drop ins is mostly during super early mornings and late afternoons/evenings. I can do drop in visits before and after work or spend the entire evening and night with them if thats what they need! I do not work Saturdays or Sundays! I try to dedicate times to play, affection, and simple presence so the pets feel at ease and comfortable in their own homes while I also catering to their needs. I am open to spending hours with your pet(s) just so they have a human to be around if needed, I absolutely do not mind hanging out with them and playing with then throughout the day.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs and cats since my sophomore year in high school! I’ve never had an issue with a pet and love being able to help :) I’m currently on my summer break so I would like my availability to be Monday- Friday and I can make exceptions on weekends for emergencies :) I have a fenced in yard but prefer to care for your pet in the comfort of your own home as I think that makes meeting and interacting with your pet much easier and comfortable!
About: I’ve taken care of various family/friends pets since I was a young girl, and have worked with animals for a few years in a mobile dog grooming truck. I’ve loved animals since I can remember, and have always had some sort of pet! I understand that pets are family and need loved the same way we do, so they will be treated with nothing less than that I guarantee. My daily/weekly routine is currently pretty flexible, so I’ve got some spare time to help watch your babies while you’re away, take them out for walks/potty breaks, or whatever you may need help with! Because of previous work experience, I’ve gained quite a bit of knowledge and understanding when it comes to handling and interacting with dogs/cats. As I said before, I’ve always had a love for animals, so I strive to care for them with as much love and interaction as possible.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats all my life. I’ve potty trained them, taught them how to walk with a leash, taught them tricks like sit stay and say your prayers, and too many to say. I will spoil your fur babies like I do mine. You would never have any worries while you’re away they will be in good hands. I love and enjoy being around dogs and or cats. I’d send you videos and or pictures of your fur baby. Some owners have their fur babies on a schedule if so I will do the same. if there is a park nearby I’d probably take them there. But first I would ask the owner what they would like me to do sense it is their pet. I'm retired so I'm flexible. My routine is the fur babies routine. I'd like to keep it that way for them, so I would need to know. I have a fenced in yard, not big for big dogs tho. They will be fed, played with and cuddled. If they need to be caged I have a large one for their comfort.
About: I’ve been around and taken care of animals since I was 8 years old! I grew up with as many as 4 dogs and 5 cats at once! I’m a preschool teacher looking to have a fun side gig; taking care of your pet would make my week so much more fun. Hope to hear from you soon! I have 3 cats in my apartment currently and they are all my little babies! They will sometimes get to go out on balcony with supervision and one of our cats likes to go outside for walks!

About: Have experience with caring for multiple pets at once, including puppies, elderly cats & dogs, & diabetic pets. Would love to help take care of your family members! I WFH and set my own schedule, so I'm very flexible in regards to my house sitting availability! As for walking, mostly available during the week but can negotiate for weekends in certain cases. I do not pet sit in my own home because I have cats of my own, but have a lot of experience house/pet sitting in clients homes and can provide references.
About: Ive taken care of cats and dogs for friends and family since I was young and currently have 5 of my own! Three of which since they were babies and three rescues! I currently work 5 days a week, but my hours vary and can work around whatever you may need! For at stays at my house, my husband is usually home when I am not! I have a fenced yard and plenty of open space inside as well. All of my animals have been socialized their whole lives and love meeting new friends!
About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals, along with my reliability and attention to detail. As a nurse, I provide compassionate care every day and understand how important it is to make others feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I am experienced in following detailed instructions, maintaining routines, and staying calm in unexpected situations. I’m also comfortable caring for pets who need medications or extra attention. Most importantly, I treat every pet as if they were my own, making sure they receive plenty of love, patience, and companionship while giving owners peace of mind that their furry family member is in caring and responsible hands. As a full-time nurse working night shift, I have a flexible daytime schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to pet care. On my days off, I have even more availability for walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I understand the importance of consistency and routine for pets, and I make sure they receive attentive, reliable care while their owners are away. I care for pets by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I try to follow all feeding schedules, provide fresh water, administer medications if needed, take dogs for walks and potty breaks, clean up after them, and make sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pets are being well cared for. My goal is to provide a safe, reliable, and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.

I have dogs as my pet now and I used to pet cats before, so I don't mind taking care of cats :) I've been with puppies, aging dogs, and disabled dogs. I like teaching some tricks for them! About: Pet guardian since birth. Animal care professional for over 10 years. I know that pets aren't just animals they are family! With a decade of experience with many animal species as a Veterinary Assistant in both general practice and shelter medicine, I offer a level of expertise that goes beyond a standard pet sitter. My background allows me to recognize subtle signs of illness or distress, administer medications, and provide animal first aid with confidence. I've also worked in boarding and training facilities and understand that many pets don’t thrive in that high stress environment. Whether your dog is a puppy, high energy, senior, timid, or exhibits reactive/aggressive behaviors, I provide a patient, low stress environment tailored to their specific needs and personality. My biggest goal is to provide the top notch care they deserve and give you total peace of mind while you're away. While I specialize in dogs, I am experienced with and more than happy to care for cats, reptiles, rodents, farm animals and more. If you have any questions about my background or specific needs for your pet, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to meeting you and your best friend! My entire daily routine revolves around the animals. Their meal times and potty schedules direct my whole day. My own dogs are my personal alarm clock and make sure to remind me when it's time to eat and for walks. I aim to keep routines as normal as possible. Even with fenced in yards, I go out with them and make sure everyone stays out of trouble ( no digging, chewing plants, etc), dogs are NEVER walked off leash, all dogs eat with supervision and can be separated if necessary, I will also crate if necessary if leaving the home or at night by owner request.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Allenton. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Allenton.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
