We have flexible schedules, reliable transportation with dog seatbelts, a large wrap around fully fenced-in yard, and several forested acres with private nature trails to share with your best friend. Maeve is a WFH graphic designer and Jason is a self-employed carpenter living with our two sweet velcro cavalier king charles spaniels — Cricket & Disco. We have very flexible schedules with lots of love and attention to spare. We can easily break away for walks and drop-ins. We live across from Eagle Lake with a large wraparound fully fenced-in yard overlooking 15 private forested acres with trails for leashed nature walks. We have oodles of experience walking, camping, hiking, swimming, and playing with dogs in all environments and elements. Crates and gates are available if your best friend needs their space, but everybody is allowed to make themselves at home. We have lots of cozy nooks and beds. We work to ensure smooth introductions. Our home is very dog-friendly but to that end, kept very clean. We do tick checks and our girls are always up to date with their vaccinations and preventative meds. JIC, we have reliable transportation and are not far from Michiana Veterinary Hospital. We are also able to drive to your preferred vet.

About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was a child. I am new to the area and would love to have some canine warmth in my life. Currently missing my dogs who live with my parents. One is a pure bred border terrier, Sadie, and the other is a mutt from the pound, Charlie. I moved to the area for graduate school. I have classes throughout the week and would be able to care for pets before and after classes. I have another part-time gig as a soccer trainer, which doesn't take up more than 2-3 hours a day. I live in an apartment with a dog park. There are also trails around my complex. I do not have anything like crates or cages in my unit for dogs.

(No apologies for that 🙃) Your pet will be well cared for/spoiled while they visit! I can take two dogs, for the safety of your pet(s) and mine, only if they are from the same household. About: I’ve had dogs and cats all my life. I’ve potty trained them, taught them how to walk with a leash, taught them tricks like sit stay and say your prayers, and too many to say. I will spoil your fur babies like I do mine. You would never have any worries while you’re away they will be in good hands. I love and enjoy being around dogs and or cats. I’d send you videos and or pictures of your fur baby. Some owners have their fur babies on a schedule if so I will do the same. if there is a park nearby I’d probably take them there. But first I would ask the owner what they would like me to do sense it is their pet. I'm retired so I'm flexible. My routine is the fur babies routine. I'd like to keep it that way for them, so I would need to know. I have a fenced in yard, not big for big dogs tho. They will be fed, played with and cuddled. If they need to be caged I have a large one for their comfort.

With a decade of experience with many animal species as a Veterinary Assistant in both general practice and shelter medicine, I offer a level of expertise that goes beyond a standard pet sitter. I've also worked in boarding and training facilities and understand that many pets don’t thrive in that high stress environment. Whether your dog is a puppy, high energy, senior, timid, or exhibits reactive/aggressive behaviors, I provide a patient, low stress environment tailored to their specific needs and personality. While I specialize in dogs, I am experienced with and more than happy to care for cats, reptiles, rodents, farm animals and more. My entire daily routine revolves around the animals. Their meal times and potty schedules direct my whole day. My own dogs are my personal alarm clock and make sure to remind me when it's time to eat and for walks. I aim to keep routines as normal as possible. Even with fenced in yards, I go out with them and make sure everyone stays out of trouble ( no digging, chewing plants, etc), dogs are NEVER walked off leash, all dogs eat with supervision and can be separated if necessary, I will also crate if necessary if leaving the home or at night by owner request.
About: I have had both dogs and cats since a young child, multiple at a time. I have petsit for many family friends for years and am usually the go to person for them as their pets are comfortable around me. I've owned dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and birds! I work 8 hours a day, from 7am-3:30pm but I have a 30 min drive to and from work (I work in Tempe!) so my availability for drop ins is mostly during super early mornings and late afternoons/evenings. I can do drop in visits before and after work or spend the entire evening and night with them if thats what they need! I do not work Saturdays or Sundays! I try to dedicate times to play, affection, and simple presence so the pets feel at ease and comfortable in their own homes while I also catering to their needs. I am open to spending hours with your pet(s) just so they have a human to be around if needed, I absolutely do not mind hanging out with them and playing with then throughout the day.
About: I have had animals, bug and small my whole life. ranging from chickens, cats, and dogs all sizes. I love animals and my family even owns a non profit in Colorado that matches shelter pets with Veterans in need! I work a part time job and work short shifts. Outside of work, I like to be active so dog sitting is an opportunity to help me have more to do while I am not in school! I will make sure your dog has a lot of play time and exercise! Plenty of potty breaks will be given. Making sure they get enough food and water. If a mess is made by your pet in your home, I will communicate what happened and clean it up!
About: I’ve taken care of various family/friends pets since I was a young girl, and have worked with animals for a few years in a mobile dog grooming truck. I’ve loved animals since I can remember, and have always had some sort of pet! I understand that pets are family and need loved the same way we do, so they will be treated with nothing less than that I guarantee. My daily/weekly routine is currently pretty flexible, so I’ve got some spare time to help watch your babies while you’re away, take them out for walks/potty breaks, or whatever you may need help with! Because of previous work experience, I’ve gained quite a bit of knowledge and understanding when it comes to handling and interacting with dogs/cats. As I said before, I’ve always had a love for animals, so I strive to care for them with as much love and interaction as possible.
About: Have experience with caring for multiple pets at once, including puppies, elderly cats & dogs, & diabetic pets. Would love to help take care of your family members! I WFH and set my own schedule, so I'm very flexible in regards to my house sitting availability! As for walking, mostly available during the week but can negotiate for weekends in certain cases. I do not pet sit in my own home because I have cats of my own, but have a lot of experience house/pet sitting in clients homes and can provide references.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs and cats since my sophomore year in high school! I’ve never had an issue with a pet and love being able to help :) I’m currently on my summer break so I would like my availability to be Monday- Friday and I can make exceptions on weekends for emergencies :) I have a fenced in yard but prefer to care for your pet in the comfort of your own home as I think that makes meeting and interacting with your pet much easier and comfortable!

I also love spending time with dogs, whether that’s going on walks, playing, or giving them the attention and exercise they need. Caring for pets fits naturally into my routine because it’s something I genuinely enjoy and make time for every day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, clean up after them, and make sure they get the playtime, walks, or quiet companionship they need. I believe pets feel most secure in their own home because it’s their safe space, surrounded by familiar smells and routines. Being able to care for them in that environment helps build trust and creates a stronger, more positive relationship, making the experience less stressful for both the pet and the owner.
