“Amy was very agreeable and came over to meet us before the first visit, which I really appreciated. My dogs don’t always meet new people well and can be slow to warm up, Amy was kind and patient while they sniffed her and overcame that! I have already booked others visit with her!”

“Super happy with the care provided for my dog and cat during the drop-in visit. Both were well taken care of. I had a last minute trip and June was available to assist. I appreciated the updates and photos, and it gave me real peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. Would definitely recommend and book again!”

“She was wonderful with my puppy. She followed my instructions and ran around outside playing with him. It seemed like he had a lot of fun with her and was very happy when I came home. I would definitely recommend.”

“Allie did such a great job taking care of our cat while we were away! She went above and beyond to make sure that our cat was well cared for and comfortable. She was very responsive when we had questions, as well. Our cat warmed up to her very quickly and was happy when we returned. We highly recommend Allie!”

“Nouf did a great job taking care of our pet cat while we were away for a long weekend. She was very responsive, prompt and completed all tasks perfectly. Will definitely hire her again if she is available.”

“Mercedez was absolutely wonderful with our terrible trio of cats. She dealt easily with the medical needs of our senior cat, including giving fluids several times. She also managed to coax out Manny, who doesn't like change and spooks easily, and get him to not only be in the same room but actually let her pet him. Moe was his usual attention-seeking self and she kept him happy too. Mercedez was great with communication and providing pictures the entire time we were gone. I strongly recommend her as a pet sitter and will certainly ask her to watch the cats again.”

“We were unfortunate enough to leave our cat behind at the airport due to issues with her documentation. One of our friend gladly took her in but had no experience when dealing with cats ... Fortunately though we had Amy to the rescue! She assured and calmed us down and offered different strategies on helping taking care of our baby cat. Not only is she super sweet, she spent extra time on the first day to make sure our cat is doing well in the new space and that our friend knows about how to care for her! Our cat immediately took a liking to her ❤️ She even offered her number to them so that they can ask for help if they ever needed to do so ❤️ She is an excellent communicator and writes detailed notes about her visits 👍 We were super worried about the well-being of our baby cat but Amy made all our doubts and fears go away. Thank you ❤️”

“Tammy was absolutely wonderful with our two furbabies, Finn and Furb! 🐾😺😸 She took the time to really get to know them and made sure they were comfortable and happy. She was punctual, friendly, she played with them and genuinely cared for them like they were her own during her drop ins. We felt so at ease knowing they were in her hands. Tammy was also great at calming my fears in leaving them for a week for the first time. I feel like I’ve known Tammy all these years. She is so personable! We will definitely be booking with Tammy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter! ❤️”

“This was my second time working with Jannatul. My cat Winston loves her! She's prompt, easy to work with, and trustworthy. Book Jannatul the next time you need your pet taken care of, you won't regret it!”

“Skylar is fantastic. She is very knowledgeable and responsible, and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and reliable pet sitter or dog walker. She took great care of our dog. We would not hesitate to request Skylar again in the future. Great experience!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I share my home with three amazing best friends — two German Shepherds and a Labrador — and I love spending my free time outdoors with them. I spend a lot of my off-shift time hiking the beautiful trails around Loudoun, and for dogs who would enjoy joining me, I offer safe, supervised Hiking Outings. For my day job, I’m a firefighter with Loudoun County, which gives me a unique schedule with plenty of days off. That flexibility allows me to dedicate real time and attention to caring for other people’s pets. Before joining the fire service, I worked in Emergency Veterinary Medicine as a receptionist, where I saw firsthand how important it is to notice the little details in a pet’s health and behavior. That background taught me to spot potential red flags early and communicate clearly with owners if something ever seems off. Professional, reliable, and compassionate, I’ll treat your best friends like family — making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I work a 24-on/48-off schedule as a firefighter, which means I have plenty of full days off to fit in visits, walks, and even hiking outings. My schedule gives me the flexibility to spend real, quality time with your pets rather than rushing in and out. I’m also open to house sitting! Because of my shifts, we’d just need to plan coverage for the times I’m on duty. I have trusted contacts in the local pet care community, or I’m happy to coordinate with another sitter of your choice to make sure your pets always have consistent care. My primary focus is to treat your pet like he or she was my own. When your pet is under my care, you can rest assured that they will be loved, respected, and protected! I will provide an environment comfortable for your pet to be themselves and enjoy our time together, and maintain a safe and proper experience for them!

I am available daily between 11:00 AM and 10:00 PM to care for your kittens and cats. I can drive to your place to feed and play with your fur baby. I have a single family home and a kitten. About: Ever since I was born my family has had 2-3 dogs in the home. Have had a golden retriever every type of lab and a corgi. Also dog sit my sisters pitbull. Every weekday I’m free until 5-6. Just graduated with a masters degree in accounting and waiting to start work in public accounting in the fall. I love taking dogs for walks as I know the smells are very important for them. I enjoy playing with them as well they deserve all the love.
About: I've been dedicated to caring for my own two dogs for the past 6+ years. I have a deep understanding of their unique personalities and I prioritize their well-being through regular exercise, nutritious meals, and affectionate attention. My experience has strengthened my ability to provide a safe and loving environment, ensuring a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for furry companions. Balancing pet care as a student-athlete requires careful planning. Mornings often begin with a brisk walk or jog before practice. Post-school hours involve dedicated playtime, feeding, and walking. Weekends are typically open for me, and I am free most of the day. When providing services at a client’s home, I ensure familiarity by maintaining routines, following specific care instructions, and offering personalized attention to meet the unique needs of each pet. Consistency, communication, and a love for every pet is my top priority

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 6,368 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Aldie. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Aldie. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
