This was our very first experience using Rover, and also our first experience with leaving our precious Furbaby in someone else’s care! We drove all the way from Florida to visit Washington DC and unfortunately we were not able to bring Eleanor with us to the Smithsonian museums! Lol! So we were in need of someone to take care of her while we were sightseeing and I am so thankful that we found Kristen and her beautiful farm! We left Eleanor at the farm for three days, and it seems like she had a blast! About: I have 2 dogs: Mina (8 year old Wheaten Terrier) and Halle (6 year old Boxer). I've had them both as puppies so I know what it's like to take care of dogs during those rough first few months. Halle also developed some anxiety so I have experience in dealing with leash reactive dogs and training them. I love all dogs and have taken care of friends' pets occasionally. I'm currently working on a hybrid schedule, so some days I work remote and am pretty flexible. On remote days, I'm able to work anywhere with wifi and can take care of dogs at the same time. My hours are also flexible so I am able to help almost any time and can take frequent breaks to walk or play with the dogs. I would ask lots of questions to make sure I know everything about when I can crate dogs, or if they can go to parks or dog parks.

About: Hello there! I am currently open for new clients! My full time client just left us to head out west. We will miss them badly, but look forward to bringing on other pets. I would love to care for your pets as my own! We do have a small Chihuahua mix named Fabel. She is great with all dogs and cats. I also have to be the ones that are 10 and 6 that are great little helpers. We have trails close by with lots of grassy areas to run around. We love long walks, play, & cuddles. No rules, your sweet pups are allowed wherever they’d like to go, but I do make sure all your rules and schedules are followed :) My weekly routine is simple. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I’m able to work around your schedule and attend to all your sweet pups needs I follow your schedule provided, but I also allow your pup to lead the way. If they want to play, we play. We take walks. Cuddles. Whatever your pup is used to and likes we’ll follow along.

I always double-check doors, gates, and leashes before and after each outing, and I keep the emergency vet’s number and your contact info on hand. For overnight and multi-day stays, I also handle house sitting tasks like mail collection, plant care, and general cleanup (dishes, laundry, sweeping). I’m comfortable with litter boxes, and with habitat cleaning for reptiles, rodents, and aquariums. You’ll get photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I am currently studying Pre-Veterinary science after realizing the one constant love in my life. I have taken care of our family dogs throughout the years since I was about 7 years old, checked in and cared for friend’s dogs, and I have been volunteering at the local CASPCA and RVSPCA animal shelter for a total of 2 years now every week while at school. I even had the pleasure of fostering a deaf white pitbull named Marilyn for a short while and was able to teach her some sign language! I am very patient and understanding of all types of dogs and know a good amount about their range of behaviors and a little about their psychology. Most importantly, though, I believe that what dogs do for us is so much more than what we can every repay them for, so I want to enrich their lives as much as possible! I only have one dog who is very shy and will not have any problems with other dogs and my house has a lot of space for any size of dog! I am on medical leave from my job and school right now as I do PT and other appointments. None of my outings are very long though and will seldom exceed 2 hours I like to keep a consistent schedule for my guests in when to eat, walk, play, etc to help ease any potential separation anxiety. At least 3-4 times a day to walk outside and use the restroom, some sort of stimulation or puzzle, some relaxing time, and really just let the guest feel as comfortable as possible
