About: I worked at a doggy daycare from 2019-2021 where I not only got to play with dogs of all size but handled cleaning, feeding, medication administration and first aid. From 2021-present I worked at Veterinary Emergency Group learning how to best handle all types of emergencies in all types of animals! I am a current DVM student at St. George’s University where I have learned basic anatomy and pathology during my past year in Grenada! I am available any day any time as I am on break from SGU for my DVM degree! Other than my current externship in Buffalo I have plenty of time for those who need me! I have a backyard and front yard for lots and lots of playing time! I have no issue with however you prefer your pet care!

It was such a peace of mind knowing my pups were cared for over the weekend while Jenna checked in on them. She sent me pictures and messaged me with any updates. I will definitely book with her in the future!

Kara was on time for the meet and greet. She was engaging and showed genuine interest when we were talking. She has a quick smile which I liked. She got to meet Smoky but Joey was hiding under the bed because it was raining really hard and he hates the rain. It was a very positive meeting and we booked for Easter weekend. Gail

About: I’ve been a dog owner since 2020, when I got my first dog as a puppy. Since then, I’ve learned firsthand what it takes to raise, train, and care for a dog from a young age. I currently have two dogs and they’re a big part of my everyday life! I’m a senior in high school with no extracurriculars during this season, which makes my schedule very flexible. I also have my own transportation, so I’m reliable and easy to coordinate with! I take safety seriously and always make sure dogs are supervised and comfortable. I follow all instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and pay attention to behavior to make sure each dog feels secure and stress free.

About: I provide reliable, compassionate care for both cats and dogs, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. My responsibilities include feeding, providing fresh water, walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes, administering medications when needed, and giving pets plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection.I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, so I take the time to follow each owner’s instructions closely to help pets stay comfortable and reduce stress. I am dependable, patient, and committed to treating every pet as if they were my own while giving owners peace of mind that their companions are in caring hands. I work full time Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm, but I’m available for pet care before work, after 3:30pm on weekdays, and any time throughout the weekends. I can provide evening walks, drop-in visits, overnight care, and weekend boarding. I’ll always communicate with you, follow your pet’s routine, and make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and quality care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a large fenced yard for dogs to enjoy, and the driveway entrance is securely blocked off whenever pets are outside. Cats are kept safely indoors in a calm environment. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs, and I always introduce pets carefully while supervising all interactions. I can keep pets separated if needed, follow your pet’s routine, and provide regular updates with photos so you know they’re happy and well cared for.

About: Here for all the walks, attention and care you need! Hi I am Celina W. I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life and been a hands-on, reliable pet sitter for friends and family since I was a teenager. As a dog mom to a German shepherd (Loki) and Malinois mix (Meelo), my experience with working breeds makes me a perfect fit to handle even the most energetic of dogs. If there are any behaviors or manners you are working on with your pet, please let me know and I will work with your pet on skills! My shitzu-yorkie Stella had puppies in my closet when I was a teenager, so I have hands-on experience handling dogs from birth- golden years. I have even rescued cats from a burned house and was able to foster and rehome them. I’m the kind of sitter who gets down on the floor to play, encourages enrichment activities and treats your pets like the unique little personalities they are. Whether it’s energetic playtime, calm companionship, or sticking to a careful routine, I show up with matched energy, patience, and genuine care. If your pets love affection, silliness, structure, or all of the above, they’re in good hands with me. If you have other critters or small pets in your home, I am sure I can assist you. Let's start a great long-term relationship! I am recently resigned teacher who is looking for fulfillment in life and currently in-between jobs. I am trying to build up my pet base so I can pursue this full time. I have plenty of time to play and care for your pups and/or cats/ small animals and will be fully engaged. I have open availability; I am also looking for long-term clients! Pet care will have to occur at the clients home and/or surrounding area. I can provide all necessary care and stimulation at your home. I am here for you and what you need. Preferrably the client would provide the leash and waste products. Depending on your comfortablility I can take your pup on scenic walks / jogs in the neighborhood or nearby parks. My client and aunt has a big dog that is a gentle giant if your dogs ever need some social interaction.

About: I've always had a passion for animals since I was very little. I was never able to have them of my own growing up because my dad was highly allergic. Once I graduated high school I moved out and rescued my first dog from a backyard breeder. He was a Pit-bull mix. 4 months later I rescued my golden saint from a hoarding situation which ended up in all of her animals getting taken away. I realized I wanted to help save more animals so I ended up becoming a foster mom. My first foster was a 7 year old Rottweiler named Sabrina. I only had her a short 3 months before I was told she had a stomach tumor that was not curable. I unfortunately made the decision to get her cremated and the last words I said to her was " I promise I will save as many animals like you as I possibly can." I kept that promise to her after 8 years already and plan to for many many more! Fast forward to today, i suddenly lost my soul dog in January 2026 but still have my golden saint and a Catahoula Leopard dog. He was my first foster fail 6 years ago. I wanted to extend my experience even more so now I pet sit/dog walk as well! I am experienced with senior dogs, puppies, aggressive dogs as well as dogs with high anxiety I have taken care of all sorts of animals such as hamsters, Guinea pigs, birds, snakes, miniature pigs, and of course cats and dogs! I treat every animal like my own and I guarantee I will become their best friend! My goal is to eventually own a building and name it in Sabrina's memory:) I am available for in home stays in your own home, overnights, drop ins, and dog walks on week days and weekends. If you see a date that is marked unavailable please still reach out to me as I might have some spots open or a last minute cancellation for those days. It is first come first serve so book while the dates are still available! In home/overnights- This includes play time, bathroom breaks, food and water replenishment, medication administration, baths if needed, walks, picture/video updates, and lots of snuggles! Drop ins- This includes food and water replenishment, bathroom breaks and a little bit of play time! Dog walking- I offer 1/2 hour walks and 1 hour walks

About: My family has had dogs my whole life of different types and sizes, now I raise a mini Bernedoodle. I have taken multiple puppy training courses which I could apply to any age dog. I work in law enforcement. My schedule is flexible due to my job and I will update my availability ASAP according to my work schedule. I spoil my dog and will do the same for any that come into my home. No human food is my big rule. My Mini-Bernedoodle is just over one year now and raising her has been very rewarding. I have taken multiple training courses on training young dogs but could apply these concepts to any age dog. I have a good size yard which I am able to walk my dog around when she goes to the bathroom. My yard is 3/4 fenced in and my neighbor doesn’t have any pets.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life, some big, some small. worked as a receptionist in a vets office because of my love for animals. My schedule varies & I have a lot of free time. I’m doing this to get some extra money while also getting some exercise. I can take a casual walk or s jog, depending on the dogs preference. All my dogs learned how to properly walk on a leash without pulling or tugging. I’ll walk in all kinds of weather. I’ll be happy to play with them, fetch , frisbee and have been known to give an occasional doggie sundae after a good walk. I promise your dog will be treated with love and affection just as if it were my own. I enjoy walking or jogging on my free time. I’m currently full time but have plenty of time for dog walks on my days off or before or after work I only have a dog run, trying to save $ for invisible fencing, both my dogs enjoy the run. Your pet should be comfortable wherever they are.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 930 sitters on Rover offering Dog Sitting across Alden. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Alden stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Alden choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Alden with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alden. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 89% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
