“My two dogs had a great time with John. My neighbor saw him walking the dogs and was impressed with his enthusiasm and care. I agree. Thanks John for helping me out. I will definitely try to book John again the next time.”

“Courtney is the best! She was available to walk my dog last minute and even stopped by for a meet and greet. Great communication. She took him to the park, which he loves. I felt like he was in good hands especially with her background as a vet tech. Thank you!”

About: I grew up with dogs from a young age and fell in love with taking care of them. As I got older and went to school, I was always happy to help friends and neighbors to look after their pets as well. Now, I’m happy to say that I’ve been a dog walker and pet mom for three years! I currently work full-time, but my schedule is variable and I’m more than happy to work pet care into my schedule. Whether it’s a walk or drop-in, I can usually find time to help! In your home, your pets know what’s best and most comfortable. I do my best to work with them and adjust to their needs accordingly based on what’s available and familiar to them in your space.
“Nathan & Meredith are amazing! From arranging meet & greet, communications through app, and the thoughtful notes after every walk, they are really caring to your pets. My dog enjoys spending time with them so much!”

“Allison was absolutely amazing! She’s so nice & took great care of my pup. Very good with updates & photo updates. Definitely someone Id feel comfortable booking with in the future! & I’m very nervous about my fur baby!”

“Dante was amazing! Our faith was terrified of him even growled at him, but he did not give up and was able to take her out for her walk. We got home from our day out and she was fine. He’s very professional and responds very quickly! I highly recommend !!!”

“Kara has been walking my pups for over a year and she is so amazing!! She is attentive, descriptive, and takes great photos with the report cards of the walk / visit! I love to show my coworkers the photos that she sends during her visit! I trust Kara fully with my girls! So thankful for her!”

“Today was my dog’s first solo walk with Shanisa and I couldn’t be happier! Shanisa and I worked extensively with my dog to get him comfortable with her because he is usually very wary of strangers. He warmed up to Shanisa quickly and was comfortable with her in our home just by themselves. I now have more freedom and less worry knowing my dog will be safe and cared for when I cannot be home.”

“Max is awesome! She is sweet with my doggy, she leaves messages every time she walks him to update me and takes lots of pictures. She has also befriended my shy cats! Thankful to have her take care of my babies;)”

About: I have been in the animal field for 8+ years, currently a happy vet tech and former rover pet walker/sitter! I have grown up with animals my whole entire life since I could remember! (my family members are also hugeee animal lovers!) Through out my 8+ years in the animal field, I started off in the kennel assisting boarding pets (cats and dogs) I walked the dogs there 5x day, fed both the dogs and cats, administered oral medications as well as injectable medications as far as insulin, b12 injections, allergy shots, etc. and of course, always signed up for extra shifts to give those pups the most attention they deserved! I loved my job, this was comforting for me! While still working in a kennel, I began growing and started helping in grooming as well, in this occupation, I began doing dog and cat sitting on the side for the owners of the pets being boarded as their pets were becoming seniors and did better at home. About 3 years ago, I got a job offer at a pet clinic as a vet assistant, I took the offer and absolutely loved seeing and helping these pets in need. I love my job! My weekends or free time consist of volunteering in animal shelters or rescues. I have many years of experience with animal care, behavior, walking, feeding, bathing, administering medications by mouth and by injections, with both dogs and cats. Im here to continue spreading my love to all of your pets! Pet care fits into my schedule easily on the weekends that I am available and a easily with my Monday-Friday work schedule that I can work around I am able to provide long walks, play time, cuddle time, etc. that would normally be part of the pets daily routine or daily activities
About: I’ve cared for pets since age 11, and I truly enjoy giving them the love, attention, and gentle care they need and deserve every day. Pet care fits easily into my daily life because I’m in school, working part-time, and have a flexible schedule that allows me to help whenever needed. I don’t provide in-home boarding, but I always respect and carefully follow each owner’s instructions to ensure pets feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for.

“Paul and his fiancée do a great job with my Husky. My dog normally doesn’t enjoy other humans, and he loses his appetite when I travel. But Paul’s energy didn’t bring any of those concerns out.”

About: I work full time close to home. So I am available for visits morning, afternoon and evening. During the weekends, my schedule is very flexible as well. The safety and care of your pets is my main priority. I will make sure to provide the same level of care that you provide for your pet on a daily basis.

About: I’ve had dogs in my household since I was 5, meaning I’m skilled in taking care of dogs and am ready for anything they might need. I’ve dogs at for multiple neighbors of the years, and many of those dogs have been old dogs with specific instructions to keep them healthy. I’ve done multiple weeks of overnight care for dogs as well as simple daycare or dog walks for people that need help. I’m currently studying to become a vet and I would love to have the chance to get to know your furry companion! I am open to help out any day of the week as needed. I have a part-time job with schedule hours that change each week, but none of those hours include nighttime’s. I am willing to take your pet even last minute if I am capable. In my home, I make sure to let the dog out first thing in the morning and right before bed to allow them to use the bathroom as needed. In my household I take my dog for a walk around 9 every morning and 5 every night, then feeding him at 6pm. Other food given to him includes a treat in the morning and a couple in the afternoon that I put in his bowl. In between those times, I will spend time with my dog either sitting on the couch together watching tv or playing games.
“Tracy is fabulous. She is professional, so loving to our dog and very punctual. Her communication is solid and she is very dependable. We are so happy to have found someone of her caliber and grateful she took on our dog.”

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Albertson. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Albertson.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
