I have about a dozen regular clients that I either house/pet sit for and walk their dogs. Pet sitting is my main career, but I also do Instacart on the side when to fill in the gaps. It helps me earn money while keeping my schedule open for pets because the pets come first.

Safety, trust & environment
I am always patient with all animals and I tend to provide a calming presence in general. Pets are great friends and should be treated as such. We have 2 cats that are not used to dogs, unfortunately. I cannot watch your dogs at my house, but I can accommodate with more frequent visits if you wish.
Information Dylan H. would like to know about your pet
I like knowing how old your pet is and what their energy is like in general. Also, medication information if applicable. If there are any activities your pet really enjoys, let me know and we'll enjoy it together!
A typical day
When I show up I like to spend about 5 minutes with them before we go for a walk so they settle. When I walk dogs I subtly teach them to walk nice and not pull on their leases. With dietary preferences, I only give out treats if it's okay with the owner. Before leaving I like spending another 5 minutes petting everyone and letting them know they did good. If I'm house sitting, the majority of the time will be spent petting and playing with them.

Pet care experience
I have loved animals my whole life. I grew up as an only child with many cats, dogs, and horses. At one point we had 6 dogs! I moved to Wilmington in 2023 to live with my partner in the Triangle neighborhood. Recently we have moved over to Greenville Place and are enjoying it. My mom is an animal lover as well, and taught me how to be responsible for animals since I was a young kid. Now we are both pet sitters, and she is still giving me great advice, lol

Reviews

Dylan is fantastic with our dogs, he came prepared with plenty of treats and a calm demeanor. We have 3 Dalmatians and he handled taking them out like a true professional.

Our cats love Dylan which is apparent from the second he walks in the door and they start twirling around his legs. He’s very communicative & dependable and it’s lovely to feel no anxiety about going away, knowing our cats are in great hands with Dylan!

Dylan was amazing!! He was 100% ok with giving our cat her topical medicine twice a day along with managing our super energetic, sometimes stubborn dog. We forgot to leave a few things out and he communicated right away and managed getting everything needed. He sent update pics that made us feel good while we were away. We'll definitely be rebooking with Dylan again! Highly recommend :)
Dylan was very attentive to our large dog. He was prompt, friendly and professional. I would definitely ask him again if we needed help with our Dog!
