“Janay is the person to have when you are looking for a pet sitter. She took care of our 3 cats for 3 days when we were out of town. She exceeded our expectation in every aspect of what we could ask for as our cat sitter. She is friendly, honest, punctual, and communicative. Most of all she is being very nice to our cats. She treats our cats as if they are her own. When she started a drop-in service each day, she sent us numerous pictures of before and after service food/ water/ litter boxes situations. There were also pictures and videos of cats playing and having treats which let us know that the cats were doing fine. Receiving many visual aids put our mind at ease while being away from home. One of the cats has been urinating outside of litter boxes. Therefore we had to put some training pads underneath the boxes. She changed the pads every time the pads were dirty even though it was not addressed to her during our initial meeting. She did everything we asked with a smile on her face:) Overall she is very trustworthy. I would definitely hire her again without any hesitation. I would also recommend her to my friends if they are looking for a great pet sitter.”

About: Aloha! I’m Nea, a born-and-raised Kaua‘i girl now living in Honolulu near Ala Moana. I’ve grown up around and owned animals my whole life—horses, chickens, bunnies, birds, cats, and of course, dogs—and I’m truly an all-around animal lover! I get so much joy out of spending time with animals and helping care for others’ furry friends. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a senior needing a little extra TLC, or a quirky dog with specific routines, I genuinely love getting to know each one’s unique personality. I’ve raised and owned Border Collies and Australian Shepherds (you can see my parents dog, Tucker, a blonde collie, featured in a number of my photos), so I’m especially comfortable with high-energy breeds. However, I’ve worked with dogs of all types and temperaments. I’ve been a dog walker and sitter throughout high school and college, and through Rover for several years while living in NYC and back on Kaua‘i—so in total, I’ve been doing this as a side gig for about 15 years now. I’ve cared for everything from a tiny Chihuahua named Lolo to a 180lb Great Dane named Pebbles to a reactive hound named George who only did night walks. No matter the service (walks, drop-ins, etc), I treat every pet I work with like part of my family and love making their day brighter (and yours a little easier). My husband and I lost our beloved dog Logan last year due to cancer and, while we aren’t quite ready to welcome another pup into our home full-time, we’ve both gotten so much fulfillment from helping out other pet parents. I work from home as an education policy consultant, and I’m very lucky that my job offers a lot of flexibility and autonomy in scheduling. My workday typically starts early since my team is based on the mainland, which means I often wrap up by lunchtime and have plenty of time to spend with pups. Even during working hours, I can usually shift meetings or build in breaks to fit in a walk or drop-in visit. Overall, I’m able to accommodate most pet care routines. Whether it’s a quick morning walk, a lunchtime drop-in, or a longer afternoon outing for an energetic pup, I’m happy to tailor care to whatever works best for your dog! Weekends are also often wide open, and I’m more than happy to take clients then as well. At the moment, I’m unable to offer overnights or boarding in my home, but I do provide walks, drop-in visits, and in-your-home sitting throughout Honolulu. When I’m caring for your pup—whether I’m stopping by for a quick visit or staying for longer—you can count on me to treat your space with the same respect and care I would my own. I make it a point to send regular, thorough updates and plenty of photos throughout my time with your pet. I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave your furry friend with someone else, and I want to ease that as much as possible for my clients by keeping you informed and connected every step of the way! I’m dependable, communicative, and focused on making sure both you and your pet feel comfortable and at ease. About: Hi! I am a designer working from home based in Honolulu, HI. I love love animals so much but I'm not able to have my own quite yet, so I'd love to help take care of yours! I have a lot of experience being around dogs, including my family pet Joy - a shy, tiny chihuahua terrier mix. In the future, I hope to have two birds, a hairless cat, and a dog :) Because I work from home as a freelancer, my work is very flexible / non urgent, which means I'll have plenty of time to take care of your baby. :) I'm currently residing in an apartment complex that is pet-friendly!
