“DeAnna stayed overnight with my pup Rex. I loved seeing him chilling out on the patio. He was calm and content when I got home, so I know he had a great time. DeAnna is easy to communicate with and has lots of doggie experience. I can't wait to book her again to stay with Rex!”

“David was wonderful with my dog, Martin. He was attentive and present the whole time. Martin is currently sleeping in my lap because David kept him busy and entertained. David took great care of my house too - it looks just like I left it. Don’t hesitate to book him, you won’t regret it!”

“So greatful for the cafe Marissa gave our dogs while we were gone. We left at 4am to the airport so it made me nervous having her show up after we left but the moment she got to our home she texted us and just did and amazing job with our boys. Thanks Marissa!!! We will definitely be asking her to sit again!!”

“Dana was amazing with my Mabel girl! She’s a lot to handle and she did so good with her, send so many updated and photos & even stayed with her an extra day when my travel plans got cancelled! Definitely will book with her again ❤️”

About: I have three pups of my own, (Roosevelt, 6 year old border collie, Sadie B, 5 year old dalmatian mix, and Chewbacca, 1 year old Carolina dog.) They are all rescues. I adore them, they are my babies. I would have many more if I had a farm and could talk my husband into it. I visit dog shelters regularly and become familiar with all the pups. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust with your pups when you go out of town. Please contact me with your pet sitting needs. Thanks "Every once in awhile a dog enters your life and changes it." "A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself." "Be the person your dog thinks you are"
“Blaise was great! She kept in contact with me and sent me multiple pictures. She followed all instructions for Athena’s care. We are so thankful that Athena was cared for by such a caring person. Athena absolutely loved Blaise!”

“Madison was absolutely amazing!! She kept me updated the whole time I was out of town, and my pup Bandit had the best time with her!!! I can’t wait for Madison to stay with Bandit again sometime, and I would highly recommend her!”

“Ms. Carol saved the day and goes above and beyond! Our home is in the middle of a renovation, no wifi or tv. Carol was willing to forgoe her comfort to help us out. I will be forever grateful and Pé and Kal love her, too!”

From walking, transporting, playing, supervising playtime, cuddling, cleaning, and assisting those in need, I am capable of doing just about anything you need for your fur baby. (Worked at Greymont kennel services and Chasing Tail Pet Farm, have done pet sitting off of rover, and have owned multiple dogs of different age/size, with different limitations) I have work from 0500-1630 but I’m still available on weekends can still work around those times I just need to be able to make it to work on time!! In your home, your pets comfort and safety are a top priority, as is respecting your space. Your home will always be left as it was found if not better, and your pets won’t be lonely with me around!
“We could not have asked for a better experience with June. This was our very first time using Rover and also the first time leaving our 1-year-old puppy, along with our 14-year-old dog, so we were naturally very anxious. From the very beginning, June was incredibly sweet, patient, and loving with both of them. Our puppy had a hard time adjusting to us being away, which was expected, but June handled it with so much calm, understanding, and care. She reassured us that this was normal and stayed consistent and gentle with him until he settled in. True to her word, every day got better. What we appreciated most was her communication. June kept us updated daily with plenty of pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was also very receptive to any suggestions we shared and immediately applied them, showing how committed she was to doing what was best for our dogs. It is not easy to trust someone with your home and your pets, especially for the first time, but June exceeded every expectation. We feel incredibly grateful that we found her and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, and genuinely loving pet sitter.”

About: I've cared for dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to large dogs. I enjoy building a bond with dogs and getting to know their personalities. Whether a dog is energetic and playful or prefers a calm companion, I love making them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I've also cared for cats for several households and understand the importance of following each pet's individual routine, from feeding schedules and litter box care to playtime and companionship. I know that every cat has a unique personality, and I enjoy earning their trust at their own pace. I believe the best pet care comes from patience, reliability, and treating every pet as an individual. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely at ease while you're away, knowing they'll receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and thoughtful care. As a freelance artist, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate pet care throughout the week with advance notice. I'm available for drop-in visits, walks, and both weekend and weekday house sitting. Because my schedule is adaptable, I'm able to plan my work around the needs of the pets in my care, ensuring they receive the attention, companionship, and routine they deserve. I currently provide care exclusively in my clients' homes, where pets are most comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, potty breaks, walks, medications, playtime, and any other special care needs. My goal is to keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible while you're away, helping them feel safe, relaxed, and loved. I also treat every home with the utmost respect, keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. I believe clear communication is important, so I'm happy to provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you're away.
“Casey took care of our two dogs and cat for a week while we were traveling. She came to our house to meet the “boys” about a week before we left and all three of them took an instant liking to her! She stayed at our house so the boys could be in familiar surroundings and kept us in the loop with photos and texts while we were traveling so we could see what a good time they were having back at home. I will definitely ask her to pet sit again. It was a great experience for our boys and for us.”

“Alexis was fantastic. She stayed with our dogs for a few days. We got great updates. But most importantly, when a series of bad storms swept through our town, she was there to comfort the nervous puppies.”
About: I've house/dog sat for years, mostly for family friends but for the past 2 years I've opened that to outside people, and it's something I enjoy thoroughly! I have always had pets so I'm very comfortable with everything with fur (even scales if you're that type of person lol) I hope to continue this while I'm here in Clarksville. I am a full time student, but I have plenty of breaks and evenings to care for your animals! If hired, my schedule shouldn’t affect my availability to sit. With house sitting, I try to keep the same routine as you would. I know it can be hard to leave your fur babies behind, so I want you to have no doubt they are being left in loving hands! I make sure to send updates and pictures, to keep your mind at ease
About: I have experience caring for cats, including those with anxiety and overgrooming. I currently care for my own cat and focus on keeping a calm, consistent environment. I’m comfortable with feeding, litter box care, medications, and paying attention to behavior changes. I take time to build trust with each cat and always provide updates and photos. I also grew up with puppies. I have experienced walking, going potty, and playing! Pet care fits naturally into my routine, especially in the evenings and on weekends. I have a consistent schedule and am available Wednesday through Friday in the evenings and Saturdays during the day. I already care for my own cat daily, so feeding, cleaning, and spending quality time with pets is something I’m used to. I plan my schedule carefully to make sure each pet gets reliable, on-time care and attention. In a client’s home, I follow your cat’s normal routine to keep things as stress-free as possible. I handle feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and playtime or quiet companionship depending on your cat’s personality. I take a calm, patient approach, especially with shy or anxious cats, and never force interaction. I also monitor behavior, administer medications if needed, and send regular updates with photos so you feel at ease while you’re away.
About: I have extensive experience with pets of all shapes, sizes, ages, breeds, types, colors, and temperaments. I have owned dogs, cats, turtles, frogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and a lizard. (I once had a pet worm in an animal cracker box. I thought he would like living in a little zoo.) For 7 years I took care of my disabled mom as well as 5 dogs and 2 cats. During that time, I also worked as a foster volunteer for Music City Pug Rescue–most of which were geriatric surrenders whose owners had passed away or moved into a nursing facility. While I questioned my own sanity at the time, looking back now, those were some of the very best days of my life! Today I only have one dog, Marley, (my lucky charm rescue–a Tibetan Terrier who was just hours away from euthanasia when I saw his picture online) and I am renting my home. So while I can't board your pets, I am happy to take care of them at their own home! Sadly I have lost pets to terrible chronic illnesses like cancer and diabetes. I've been through two torn ACL surgeries, one hip surgery, blindness, deafness, and incontinence. My current pup, little Marley, has been paralyzed twice. The first time, I was able to afford an expensive back surgery. But when it happened again six months post-op, I rehabilitated him myself. Now, 6 years later, he's still walking! I thank God every morning and night for giving me another day with him. My experience caring for all of these dogs and their health problems means that I know how to care for their special needs. Whether it's taking a dog to weekly chemo treatments or giving him two shots of insulin each day, I am capable of caring for your pets and promise to do so just like they are my own. Whether it's for a few minutes, a few days, or even a few weeks, I would love to spoil your pet(s) with lots of hugs, and kisses. Not to mention walks, toys, fur brushings, head massages, playtimes, and treats–at your request, of course! Plu$, I am always willing to work with you on rates, so don't hesitate to make an offer. No matter the price, I promise to give you the best service possible. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ I can design and 🧧 💰I can create a special GIFT CERTIFICATE for any of my services (final booking will be based on availability) I work from home and am free to pet sit, walk, feed, and take them on potty breaks throughout the day. While I only have availability to sit 41 dog at my home during the day, I am enabled to stay at your home for half an hour....or 24 -- or even a couple of weeks if that's what you need! (While I have extended stay rates listed, I am open to discussing long-term or permanent services, too. Just ask!) I do have a small dog and I take him with me everywhere. So if you do need someone for overnight services at your home, I will be bringing him with me. I will treat your canine and/or feline fur babies (or scaly ones!) just like they're my own. Likewise, I will care for your home with respect and with the utmost confidentiality. I can be as discreet as you need me to be, or I can take your pets to visit their friends if that's what you want me to do. For at-home pet sitting, I will meet with you and your pets beforehand to give you peace of mind. We can get as detailed as you want. Whether you give me a typed document outlining their care plan, or just hand me a key and tell me when to stop by, I am happy to accommodate you either way!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Acorn Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Acorn Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Acorn Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Acorn Hill. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
