“Anaysha was amazing! This was my first time using these services so I was a little nervous. Anaysha was extremely friendly and communicated so well while I was away. Anaysha went above and beyond. Highly recommended!”

“Simone is AMAZING! If there were 6 stars, she would get them! She was very nice and you can tell she loves being around dogs. She sent videos and pictures and made me feel like my dog may have been even happier with her! She stayed in my apartment and was very respectful and left the place better than she found it. She is a gem and I will definitely use her again!”

“Ella made sure our kitties got plenty of love while we were away! She was able to administer oral medication appropriately. She tidied up after herself- you couldn’t even tell anyone had been here!”

About: Being a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I focus on keeping dogs comfortable, safe, and feeling at home while you’re away. I genuinely love dogs and already take care of one of my own, so I’m used to daily walks, feeding schedules, and giving them attention and consistency. What sets me apart is that I don’t just “watch” dog, I care for them like they’re part of my own household, because I already live that way with my own pet. I run a real estate company, but most of my work is done on my computer so I’m home and available throughout the day. I occasionally step out for short periods, usually about an hour or less, but I’m generally around and able to give pets attention, care, and consistency. I care for my own dog daily, and he’s older so I’m used to giving extra attention and following a care routine. I handle his eye drops and medication, and I’m very attentive to his needs like feeding times and when he wants to go outside. He’s well trained, but more importantly I’m used to being observant and consistent with him. Because of that experience, I’m comfortable adapting to any dog’s routine and following specific instructions to make sure they’re cared for exactly how their owner prefers.
“Dezerae was an amazing pet sitter! We would absolutely want to work with her again in the future. She was excellent at communicating and sent pics of our sweet girl often to check in. I could tell Layla was very happy and in good hands! Highly recommend.”

About: I have experience caring for pets of different sizes and personalities, including feeding, walking, playtime, and maintaining daily routines. I am comfortable handling energetic pets, giving medications when needed, and making sure animals feel loved!! I am currently working part time and mostly making my own schedule. I work close to home allowing me to be able to check in frequently. I have a decent sized back yard and plenty of room inside the home. Your pet will have space to enjoy and get comfortable during their stay.
About: I have been pet sitting and taking care of pets ever since I could drive. I have also been raised around pets my entire life and they have been treated like Family and I cannot wait to treat your pets like they are my own. I have worked with pets of all ages, sizes, and breeds. I love keeping them active or giving cuddles whenever they’re having a lazy day. Right now since it’s summer I am free during the day and most evenings! Once school starts back up I will be available in the afternoons and evenings! Of course I will always be available for overnight work, unless I am out of town! When watching a pet in their home I work to keep their schedule and routine and similar as possible whenever their family is home. I also try to add in some play time outside and walks! If needed I can clean up around the house as well! Dog families will truly never run out of pet hair ha! If a pet is staying at my home, they will be treated like family. I will bring familiar toys over for them and a favorite blanket! They will have the opportunity to play outside as I have 5 acres of land. If they need to be on a leash that is no problem! Pets that I am coming over to check on during the day/giving walks to will be active with me outside for the time that I need to be there! I love walks and being outside! If it’s a senior pup or one that hates being outside I will work to get them outside for a few minutes at a time and never push them out of their comfort zone!
“Katelyn was awesome! She took excellent care of my two dogs and my home. She sent photos and video of my pups multiple times a day, kept me informed, and even dealt with arriving packages, watering my plants, and other various tasks. Upon returning home, I found happy, healthy dogs and my house spotless and clean. I would most definitely book Katelyn again in the future!”

“Abby took care of our dog Nick when we went out of town for a wedding this last weekend. Not only did she take the best care of him, but she also left our home in perfect condition. We came home to tidy rooms as well as clean towels and sheets. The entire weekend was made stress free by Abby. We got timely photos, updates and all around great communication about our little guy while being able to enjoy a fun weekend with friends. Nick was healthy and happy when we got home and that’s all you can ask for, but Abby went above and beyond. We will definitely be booking Abby again.”

“My experience with Sarah was excellent from start to finish. She was willing to come meet our dog for a short visit prior. Her communication throughout the process was amazing. I felt 100% comfortable leaving our pet in her hands overnight in our . I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 10 stars!!! We will definitely be using her again!”

“We are so grateful Jessi B. was able to sit our 2 dogs in our home. She treated our dogs great, kept us updated of their daily adventures with pictures, and was so respectful of our home. We will definitely use her again!”

“We cannot recommend Londyn highly enough! She stayed at our home over a long weekend to care for our dog, Brontë, and our cat, Tig, and did an outstanding job. It was clear from the moment we returned that both pets had been well cared for, happy, relaxed, and given plenty of attention and affection while we were away. Londyn also took excellent care of our home, leaving everything spotless and in excellent condition. Knowing our pets and home were in such capable hands gave us complete peace of mind during our trip. We were so impressed with the care she provided that we have already booked her again for a future trip. We would not hesitate to recommend Londyn to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and responsible pet sitter.”

“Tuna loved hanging out with Tess while we were out of town. She sent tons of pics and was super communicative. We will for sure be requesting her next time we travel!”

“Steph is an incredible person and I would not hesitate to have her watch our boy Bishop again!! She gave regular updates and piece of mind the whole time we were away! She left our house completely spotless and even left us the most amazing cookies to come home too! I couldn't recommend her enough. I think if Bishop could he would also say she was his new best friend! We hope to see her before we book in for our Christmas trip :)”

About: I’ve grown up alongside dogs and other animals and helped take care of them since I was young. When I was sixteen, my family adopted our puppy Sal at eight weeks old, and it was my responsibility to take care of him, train him, and love on him. From there, I volunteered at Almost Home animal shelter in Van Buren for two years, where I walked dogs of all sizes and weights, played with them, fed and cared for them, and cleaned out their kennels and bowls. As of now, I’m living away from my family dog since I’m in college, but I’m helping a friend of mine walk and train her newly adopted Cane Corso (she’s a sweetie). I’ve watched dogs for friends and family all through the years, as well. As far as cats go, I’ve loved them since I was a kid, and I adopted one two years ago! His name is Walter, he’s a tabby and the sweetest boy alive, and I love taking care of him, even if he shreds my arms sometimes. Pets need love and patience, and that’s exactly what I have for them. :) I’m currently out of college classes for the summer, so my schedule is very flexible! I can work with any requests you send me, so long as we have ample time to discuss everything you’re looking for. I can easily adapt to your pet’s regular schedule, including mealtimes, bedtime, medication, if they need to be crated, playtimes, etc. The comfort and happiness of your pet is my first focus.

Jean is amazing!!! Very combinative easy to talk with. Exceeded all expectations. I made an error trying to book her, so it didn’t get put in her Callander. At last minute she moved stuff around in life to still be able to accommodate us. I’m so thankful for her. She’s a life saver, my dogs absolutely loved her she sent pictures and videos. I could tell they were in good hands with let me relax. My Doberman is pouting around the house the day after we got back. I think he is missing his new friend. She is the best. I will definitely be using her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Accident on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 551 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Accident. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Accident walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Accident maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Accident choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Accident. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
