“Hannah did great! It was our first time using Rover and she was so quick to answer questions and willing to take care of our pups with last minute notice. She takes time to meet them ahead of time and honestly went above our expectations to give them all the love while we were away. Would definitely book with her again!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Heather made my cat feel so comfortable while I was away. Every drop-in visit came with thoughtful, detailed updates explaining exactly how everything went. She also took the sweetest photos and getting those was such a highlight while I was traveling. I’m so grateful for how kind and patient she was with my cat, and I would absolutely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Yen was responsive right away to my cat sitter request. It was for almost 2 weeks of daily drop ins, which is a lot! She communicated clearly through the whole booking and took great care of my two elderly cats. I’m so grateful and I will definitely rebook with her again!”

“Kelsey is the best Dog Sitter in the world! She goes above and beyond in her care for my Blue. He loves her! I have a peace of mind when she is taking care of him! Thank you so much for all you do Kelsey!”

About: Every dog deserves a life full of fun but owners deserve an experience of a well exercised trained pup! Let me help you with that!! I work full-time but off after 2pm! Dogs refill my cup when the workload feels too much. I work weekends and weekdays whenever you need a walk or daily check-ins. We care for safety and patients. My 2 dogs are above the age of 8 & very experienced with other dogs. I can teach your dog the basic start up of sit, lay-down, stay, crate trained, and walking skills.
About: I have experience in playing fetch, training, playing games, feeding, watering, snuggles & cuddles, and have an eye for safety and correct guidance to keep your baby safe.💕 I’m available in mid mornings to take them to the bathroom/feed/ water. Afternoon/evenings after 2 pm. I’m looking so forward to hearing from you and your Paws 🐾 I would first and foremost greet them in a happy way to start building a loving & trusting relationship with them. Take them outside to use the bathroom and probably sit outside with them (weather permitting). I would read the instructions if any, make sure they have had all meds/food/water. Play fetch or games if needed. Then if your baby likes tv we will watch “Paw Patrol” while brushing their hair and just chill for a bit and get to know each other.
About: I worked at a dog boarding center for a year. As well as taking care of family and friends animals before. I feel like I’ve had a way with animals since I was younger, even without trying animals seem to attract to me. I currently have a part-time job but with pretty flexible hours. In January, I start school, but it’s a hybrid schedule so it’s only three days out of the week. In my home, my pets get fed once a day but they’re on a pretty strict diet so we feed them lots of fresh meat and vitamins. They have a backyard to run free in and are constantly getting attention from me. I currently have four dogs and back home with my parents I have one dog and a cat.
“Alexis did a great job taking care of Bear, I received photos and feedback from every visit and she cleaned up any debris around his area. I returned to a clean environment, it was kept as if I had been home and not left. Bear really enjoyed her visits, she cared for him as though he was her personal pet. If she is available, I would book her again for house visits for my Bear.”

About: I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, providing walks, feeding, playtime, medication (if needed), and plenty of love and attention. I treat every pet like they’re my own and prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness. I’m working part time, so I have a lot of time on my hands to stop by and care for your pets! Mornings, afternoon, evenings, or nights! I have one cat named hazel at home. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment while keeping you updated, so you can feel confident your pet is in trusted hands.
“Jordan is the BEST doggo sitter! We exchanged information via email, and she made (is still making) it happen for our sweet girl who would otherwise have a very long day in her crate. Jordan is quick to respond, takes her care-giving seriously, and treats our space with respect. I'd say everyone should hire her, but if they did, I would have to elbow our way back into her schedule.”

About: I have personal experience caring for both dogs and cats. I helped care for a small family dog for about 3 years, assisting with feeding, daily care, and attention. I also independently cared for my own cat for several months, managing feeding, cleaning, and overall care. Pet care has been part of my daily routine. I would come home during lunch breaks to check on and care for my pet, and after work I handled feeding, cleaning, and attention. I’m also generally free on weekends for consistent pet care and supervision. I make sure pets are cared for in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment while following any instructions provided by the owner. I focus on keeping pets supervised, maintaining their routines, providing attention and care, and making sure they feel comfortable and secure at all times.
“Kelsey gives me peace of mind that my two dogs are well cared for. She has given them their medication and has been helpful by picking up canned dog food to mix the meds in. From the photos and videos sent, Nala and Petal love Kelsey. Thank you Kelsey!”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
