About: Leave your pets with someone that cares! Our family of four love all animals. I have had several animals in my family growing up. I have a strong understanding for pets and their behavior because of raising them when I was young. I will take them at any age and I am very flexible with the schedule. I have a medium size backyard and two parks to take walks right beside me. I will be your pet’s favorite sitter. I have a flexible job and kids that love to play with pets. If you are looking to have a sitter that loves pets, that would be me! I have a fenced yard and the ability to have pets sleep inside each night. I am home during the day and night time so your pet will remain safe.
About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals. I am very thorough and make sure your babies are well taken care of and happy throughout our time together. Pet care fits into my daily or weekly routine by setting specific times for feeding, walking, and playing with my pets. Each day, I make sure to give them fresh food and water, take them out for exercise like walks or playtime, and spend quality time bonding. Weekly, I might schedule grooming, vet visits, or extra play sessions to keep them happy and healthy. It’s all about making their care a regular part of my day so they feel loved and well looked after! I make mental notes of each animals character and see what gestures they make in order to know if they need to use the bathroom or would like to have some alone time or even to play. I like to have every animal feel safe in their own home. I give them time to get used to be being around them and show them I will not hurt them. I like to earn the trust of your animal.
About: I have had dogs all my life. I currently have 2 of my own. I have worked in the veterinary industry before for several years so I also have experience in caring for dogs of all ages and sizes. I will always make sure animals get care throughout the day and evenings I will always be responsible and caring for your pets/home as if it is mine. I am very big on love and respect. I will make sure all animals are loved, fed, played with and well taken cared of.
“Chasidee is a great cat sitter! She is dependable and went above and beyond our expectations. Our cats loved her visits, getting love from her, and all the nice treats she gave. We will definitely be using Chasidee again and recommend her highly.”

About: Hi I've been taking care of dogs and cats since I was very little. I have always had a big passion for taking care of dogs and cats. I also volunteered at a animal shelter and learned everything there is. i currently do not work so i am home and available 24/7 for any animal needs. i am always home with my animals playing and watching them play outside. I usually take the dogs out every hour or every two hours. They can run around a park and a pet area and go on walks when it’s not to hot.
About: I am a pre-vet student at Hardin-Simmons, and I love dogs. I work at a dog kennel, and in my spare time volunteer at the animal shelter, so I am always around dogs. I work with plenty of older dogs and puppies, and I am comfortable with any size dog breed. I work part time currently, so mornings and evenings are always available, which works well with the current summer heat. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays I also have open availability! If you are booking with me for the first time, please allow time for a meet and greet at a park near you before the booking is finalized! I am able to read dogs body language and understand that your dog is your baby, so I will never be aggressive towards a dog. I can take dogs out, feed and water them, and play with them, or take dogs to a park for a nice walk!
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 15. I was raised with a dad who trained dogs and passed down the love of dogs to me. I take care of all my family members dogs when on vacation. I take care of friends dogs and have become the dog sitter for everyone I know. I work from home. I am able to take them on daily walks and let them out constantly through the day. “Kaylee was communicative and friendly! She did a great job with my girls and made sure to update me on key things like any potty breaks, water/food breaks, etc. I would recommend her!!”

“Charytie was incredible sweet. Our dog Bella, was immediately happy when meeting her. She was great at communicating with us to ensure she met all of our standards. We found a go to girl to watch our fur baby when we're gone!”

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats since I was nine years old! I have pretty good understanding of how to best care for dogs and cats from small to big. I’ve also always been the “can you wash the dogs” person in my family, so if you need your dog to get a wash when I go see them, I can definitely do that too! Since I just graduated from college, I do have a more open day time schedule during the week, and my weekends have opened up a lot more. There will absolutely be no trouble with taking care of your doggos and cats week days from 11am-4pm and weekends from 12-5pm! At my house I do have a fenced in backyard, and a big neighborhood to walk the dogs through so they get thorough walk time! I also can crate your dog before I leave so they don’t run wild in the house, if you needed that!
About: Ever since I was a child I had dogs that I cared for and have continued that love to my adult age. I have a 10year old dog that is treated like she is my child. I understand the importance of tending to others dogs as I do mine. I have cared for family and friends dogs over the years. Unfortunately I’m looking for part time hours because I have a full time job and I’m a single mom. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Unavailable Tuesday & Wednesday - I’m available after 5pm. Every other weekend I’m available all day. Though my available scheduled displayed only has a few days I can still at times accommodate outside of those days posted. If I have it scheduled in advance I can work it out. 😃 I would love to be able to accommodate when I can, to your pet care needs. I will care for your pets the way you want your pet cared for. Quality/play time with them if needed. I spoil my dog, so I always make sure her cozy spot on the couch is setup with back ground noise on with the tv so she don’t feel alone when I’m at work. Haha! I will not be offering service for pets to stay at my home so my care will depend how the client would like it to be at their house.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Abilene with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
