Theresa was great! The meet and greet went really smoothly, and really reassured me that I was leaving our cats in good hands. Theresa offered great help in checking in, feeding, and maintaining a clean environment for our cats while we were gone for a week. She was readily available to talk to and I'd happily request her again for future trips!

I cannot say enough great things about Kara! She is WONDERFUL with my 2 boys and step brothers dog! I don’t trust just anyone with my dogs and the day she came to meet them I knew I could trust her! My boys are very stubborn, high energy, and not always the best off leash, and she got them to listen and they looked so happy with all of the pictures/videos she sent me during the drop in visits (crazy dog mom here, I like lots of pics of my babies while I’m gone)

Having never used a pet sitter for our 3 cats we didn’t know what to expect. After chatting with Stephanie, our minds were set at ease. She did wonderfully with our 3, one of whom needs daily medication. She sent daily updates and pictures. If we need a pet sitter again she would definitely be our first choice!

About: Hi! My name is Julia, and I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I have owned both dogs and cats since I was a child, so caring for pets has always been a natural and important part of my life. I have several years of experience with dog sitting and house sitting, and I understand how important it is to know your pets and home are in caring, trustworthy hands. I love all pets and enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just a calm companion nearby, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you are away. I am dependable, attentive, and respectful of each family’s home and pet care preferences. I would be happy to care for your furry family member and give them the same love and attention I would give my own pets! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because caring for animals has always been a part of my life. I’m used to planning my day around feeding times, walks, playtime, litter box care, check-ins, and making sure pets feel comfortable and safe. I enjoy having pets as part of my routine, whether that means starting the day with a walk, stopping by for a midday visit, or spending quiet time with a cat who just wants company nearby. I’m dependable and flexible, and I understand that pets do best when their normal schedule is followed as closely as possible. I’m happy to adjust my routine to match each pet’s needs, whether they need extra attention, medication reminders, playtime, or just someone calm and caring to keep them company while their family is away. I care for pets with patience, respect, and attention to their normal routine. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, litter box care, medications or special needs, favorite toys, and any house rules. I know pets feel safest when things stay familiar, so I do my best to keep their routine calm and consistent while their family is away. I also treat every home with care and respect. I make sure doors are locked, food and water are refreshed, litter boxes or pet areas are kept clean, and pets are safe before I leave. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior, comfort level, and personality, whether they are playful, shy, energetic, independent, or need a little extra reassurance. My goal is for pets to feel safe, loved, and comfortable, and for owners to feel confident knowing their pets and home are in trustworthy hands.

About: My name is Emilio, and I’m an MMA instructor who is responsible, active, patient, and comfortable caring for animals with different personalities and energy levels. My family and I have 1 dog , a German Shepherd and Pit Bull mix, along with a cat that we originally fostered and eventually adopted. We got the both of them around four years ago, so I have years of hands-on experience feeding, walking, playing with, supervising, and caring for both dogs and cats. Being an MMA instructor has also taught me patience, awareness, consistency, and how to stay calm and attentive, which I bring into caring for every pet. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and companionship throughout the week, including many afternoons and evenings. I’m also open to weekend care and can work with pet owners to keep their pets on their normal routine. I have years of experience caring for my own pets, so I’m comfortable around different personalities and energy levels. In a client’s home, I make sure doors, gates, leashes, and food are secure and I’ll keep owners updated so they know their pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

Mason was exceptional. She allowed me to book her literally last minute and said she could visit the pups without me home (emergency work trip). She was prompt and took great care of my pups, asking me any questions she had to best care for them. She sent me plenty of pics and the pups loved her!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with over five years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I was the proud owner of a Great Dane for three years who reached her senior years in my care. At nearly 145 lbs and living with severe arthritis and mobility challenges, she taught me the patience, attentiveness, and extra care that senior and giant-breed dogs can require. I’m very comfortable with large dogs and understand when they need a slower pace, extra assistance, and plenty of patience. I currently have a happy, energetic 2-year-old Golden Retriever, so I’m equally comfortable with younger, high-energy dogs who love walks and playtime! I’m also a devoted cat mom to my 3-year-old rescue cat, whom I adopted at just 12 weeks old. Every pet has their own personality and needs, and I know how much trust it takes to leave them in someone else’s care. I’ll always treat your furry family members with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Hi! I’m Claudia, a lifelong animal lover and proud pet mom. I work from home full-time as a Project Manager, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with your pets throughout the day. I’m also an early riser and typically start my mornings with a workout class, so early morning walks and visits are no problem! My flexible routine allows me to provide dependable, attentive care while working around your pet’s normal schedule. Your pet’s safety and well-being will always be my top priority. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a beloved family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, respect any special instructions, and provide plenty of love, attention, and exercise while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: I’ve been around animals all my life, & I can’t wait until I’m in a situation when I can finally have my own dog again. I’m knowledgeable about pet care & animal behavior, have great attention to detail, & enjoy learning more. I love every critter I meet (although I am partial towards chihuahuas & pits) & I have yet to meet a dog that didn’t like me. My family always had dogs growing up, & I have experience caring for a variety of dogs of different ages. I’ve only had two pet dogs that went through their entire life cycle with me, & my most recent doggo was a shitzu who came to me when she was 11. I spent her last few years trying to make her as comfortable & happy as possible. That’s the goal for every animal I care for. While this is obviously a job, & I do need the money, I genuinely enjoy getting to be helpful, to make someone’s life easier, & to, of course, spend time with dogs. I figure if I have to have a side hustle, it should at least be rewarding!! Thanks for reading!! I am a waitress- I usually work full-time, but it’s the slow season & we have a server surplus at the moment. I’m currently only scheduled for 3 night shifts a week, so my schedule is pretty open. Even on the days I do work, I would be able to check-in & care for the dogs before I go in, & can check on them afterwards as well if needed. Basically, I currently have plenty of time to fit in pet care. I am comfortable staying at someone else’s place; it would be nice to have a change of scenery every once in a while. Of course, I will treat your house with respect & be sure to leave it as it was when I arrived! If they wanna chill & sleep, that’s fine with me, but if they’re really active & need to play, I will play fetch & tug-o-war for hours on end. I have a car & supplies to take care of a dog if it is needed (snacks, poop bags, leash, blankets, first aid kit). I’m familiar with dog breeds & behavior & am aware of different training techniques so I’m not worried about being able to manage any dog- like getting them in their crate at the end of the night, or establishing a relationship with them, etc. I will care for your pet the way you want, but above all I will always care for an animal with the utmost respect & love, 💕

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 3,044 sitters on Rover offering Dog Sitting across Aberdeen Proving Ground. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Aberdeen Proving Ground stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Aberdeen Proving Ground choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Aberdeen Proving Ground with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Aberdeen Proving Ground. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
