About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was young, I can't remember a time that I haven't had a dog or cat around my home. I have lots of free time during the day and encourage play and long walks to get that energy out. Many friends and family have entrusted me with their pets to care for, walk, feed, and everything in between over the years and I hope I can gain your trust as well. In addition to cats and dogs, I was a livestock showman all 4 years of high school and have experience ranging from goats to cattle and everything in between. I have experience with both senior dogs and puppies; however, if you have a specific need I am flexible and open to learning. I am currently a full-time student majoring in animal science and part-time nanny in the evenings but I keep my schedule fairly open throughout the week. I would be around your dog majority of the day with the exception of the occasional errand. I am available for boarding throughout the week and have the ability to walk dogs and care for them in the morning through mid-day. About my home: I have an unfenced yard but am 5 minutes from a large park so supervised play and exercise shouldn't be a concern. I have three friendly dogs that are always looking for a new playmate. If necessary, I am able to crate easily and have lots of toys to keep a pup busy. Medications and specific needs: I have many years of experience administering medications via orally and/or by injection to pets I have owned and looked after. Sleeping arrangements: As stated before, I have plenty of crates ranging from small (20lbs) to large (125lbs) sized so if crate trained it is ensured that your dog will be comfortable throughout their stay. If you and/or your dog is not comfortable with a crate, they are welcome to sleep on a dog bed in my bedroom or the living room - wherever they find themselves most comfortable. It truly comes down to your and your pets comfortability and needs.

4. Yuka S.
“Yuka has taken care of my 11 year-old Australian Cattle Dog on multiple occasions and has done an excellent job. My dog has moderate to severe social anxiety and needs a lot of special care and attention on walks when she sees other dogs. Yuka has done a great job of caring for my dog, and has plenty of experience dealing with dogs with anxiety.”
5. Stephanie S.
“Stephanie was great! This was our first experience with Rover and she set a super high bar. Our Jack is a little shy and he took right to her. She sent wonderful photo updates and Jack had a ton of fun. Would highly recommend her, definitely a kind, animal loving lady”

About: With 3 acres of land your pup will have endless room to run and play. Kid pool on hot days and always plenty of fresh water, good food & treats. This is a true vacation. I stay at home so I have plenty of time to excersise your pup, play with them, feed, and medicate them. They are not home alone long periods of time. I have a large fenced in yard. The front acre is dog proof with double locks and boarded gates so even the smartest or smallest dog can’t escape. I have a friendly1 year old German Shepard and an 8 year old Boston Terrier who loves everyone. I can separate dogs or put them together depending on what they want.

10. Kaden F.
“Kaden took care of my dog, Josie each day while I was in town for work. My dog had so much fun. Kaden took her on hikes and to the beach—it was like a vacation for my dog! She absolutely loves him and would get so excited when she saw him. Kaden was reliable, on time, and was a wonderful and fun companion to my dog. She is my best buddy and so precious to me. I worry about her being in the care of someone else. However, she gets absolutely spoiled with Kaden! I will use him whenever I’m in town!”
11. Josh P.
“Josh has a lot of experience working with different kinds of animals (and people) and he's really good at it. His commincation skills are exceptional, he's super responsible, and if a problem arises he is the person you want to handle any situation. He's always takes great care of my dog Logan and treats him as his own, and he also provides a dog-friendly environment. Josh has extensive training with dogs in particular, and also has experience with farm animals and horses. Highly recommend Josh for any pet service you may need. Hire with complete confidence!”
12. Amanda R.
“All I can say is WOW! This was my first time using Rover and it was absolutely incredible. I expect this was a rare Rover experience - because we seriously could not have asked for more. My girlfriend and I were in town for a weekend getaway and wanted to check out some non dog-friendly wineries during the afternoon/evening on a Saturday. We saw Amanda's listing and crossed our fingers with our last minute Friday night booking. Amanda responded within the hour letting us know she would be happy to watch over him for the day. Her communication was professional and her availability flexible. Let me tell you... Amanda's place is an absolute wonderland for an adventure dog. She has a ton of property for your dog to run around on ... and animals galore! Our husky (Myth) got to meet horses, donkeys, ostriches, cats, chickens ... and more! This was an amazing experience for him (as a city dog that only gets to play with other dogs at the dog park). I can't imagine another scenario where he would have got to interact and play with such a diverse array of animals. Amanda clearly knows how to handle animals as well. She briefed us on her background training and handling all sorts of different animals and then backed it up with hourly videos showing us a new trick she had taught Myth - or a fun picture/video of Myth playing with one of her other animals (shoutout to her new dog Anakin who is an absolute good boy and new best friend of Myth's). She even asked us if it was okay to take Myth to the dog park. Her communication during Myth's stay helped us relax while out and about. She is clearly an animal lover to the core. If I'm being honest I'm pretty sure Myth would have been happy to stay on Amanda's ranch forever. 10/10 experience ... and her rate is super reasonable for the amazing experience your dog is going to get under her care. Thank you Amanda.”
13. Gage P.
“Gage took good care of Oli. She was happy and relaxed when we picked her up. Cage also kept us updated with some pictures. We loved that Oli could explore his backyard. We will definitely book with him again :)”
14. Malia J.
“Malia has been a large influence when it comes to the caretaking of my dog. Being a rescue, my dog, Baylor, was a very timid and easily frightened by loud noises and new people. I had asked Malia (on multiple occasions) to care for him while I went on a variety of work trips. Malia knows this dog is my world as he is like my son. As time progressed I have tried time and time again to allow Baylor to see the joy in meeting new people and attempted to untraumatized him from the past. Malia has such a general nature towards Baylor that I have seen him become more playful, relaxed, and overall happier to be present. Malia is a trusted friend of mine when it comes to the caretaking of any dog whatsoever. I would trust her with Baylor at any time I a not present, and so should you.”
15. Marissa R.
“Marissa is the best pet mom you could ask for! She is excellent with dog training and care and your pets will adore her! Highly recommend ?”
16. Maren B.
“What an amazing experience! Of course, we had many options. We could have boarded our dog or had someone come spend a little time everyday with her at our home, but we felt idea of having our dog stay with Maren's family a much better choice. We were not disappointed! They have a great enclosed outdoor space. Maren's dog Patch was very friendly and both animals got along great. We could tell that our dog had such a great stay for she refused to leave with us when we came to retrieve her! We cannot wait to use Maren's service again for our next vacation! It will truly be a vacation since we will no longer have any worries regarding our dog while we are away. We highly recommend Maren and her team of children!”
17. Heather E.
“Heather was so amazing and accommodating a last minute request to watch my dog over the weekend while guests were in town. She sent me photos and my pup was so happy and comfortable in her home. Will definitely use her again!”
18. Kira ..
“Kira is a very responsible caregiver. She even reached out to me when she had the opportunity to board another dog while she was caring for mine. I really appreciated this as many Rovers have claimed they are only caring for one dog at a time when in reality they are housing multiple. I highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for as long as I remember. I have four happy dogs and also dog sit for neighbors and family friends. Pet sitting fits into my weekly routine by already having four. I keep them well fed, walk them 1-3 times a day depending on their energy level and clean them once a week. I care for my pets in your home or my clients home the same way I would with my own pets. I’ll leave the place cleaner than you left it and the pets happier than you left them.

About: I was actually admitted into Cal Poly as a first year pre-vet animal science student. I've taken a couple courses on basic animal care but I've also taken a course called Companion Animal science which is all about the care of common household pets. I was also briefly part of the guidedogs for the blind club and got hands on experience on how to train service animals. My schedule is actually very flexible. I try to have most of my classes together so I don't have to be on and off campus which means I have significant periods of time open. If anything a couple days heads up to take care of an animal would give me enough time to plan. This totally depends on the breed/size/temperment of the animal, also with cats if it's an indoor outdoor cat I would probably thoughroughly discuss this with a client to make sure I have all the details. In general I would probably try and walk the dog away from other people or dogs incase the animal has certain triggers or reactions. I would try and stay gentle and calm around the animal and give them personal space if needed. In terms of environment I wouldn't let a dog off leash if the space isn't enclosed and I would try my hardest to monitor what the dog/cat eats as of not to let them get sick.
