“We just hired Courtney this past weekend, to drop by and take care of our Sheltiie, Sarah. I was a little nervous at first if this was going to work out because Sarah, like all dogs, doesn’t like it when we go away. In addition, she had an upset stomach. But my worries were put to rest, as Courtney sent a picture of Sarah and a summary of how things were going, with each visit. I truly appreciated that! Sarah was perky when we came home . It’s obvious Courtney has a love of animals and a caring disposition. We will be hiring her again, now that we have peace of mind! Thank you Courtney!!”

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats all my life. I have owned dogs ranging in different sizes and breeds: St. Bernard, Maremma Sheepdog, Boxer, Cocker Spaniel, German Shorthair Pointer, and Hush Basset. I have experience with Ragdoll, Himalayan, and Persian cat breeds. Also have experience with rabbits, sugar gliders, geckos, and guinea pigs. We are a family that loves animals, and we would be happy and grateful to love on yours while they are in our care! I am a stay at home mom so I have a fairly flexible schedule, and am available to pet sit most any day of the week. I have 3 female dogs that are all very friendly, and get along well with other dogs and cats. We do not have a fenced in yard, but we do have a cable, and an outdoor kennel run for dogs that would like some outside time.

“Mati did a great job when we’ve had her check on our two dog, Han and Charlie. Han is an energetic wheaten terrier and Charlie is a large Great Pyrenees. You can tell that she’s used to being around all kinds of dogs because she didn’t seem to have any problem with either type of breed. “Jess was such a great choice to watch my Sammy boy. We were gone from 5/22-6/1 and had no idea it was getting VERY warm here in Iowa. We did not yet have our window air conditioners in. At one point, it got to 85 in our house. I was able to have a neighbor install the window ac’s. Jess was concerned for Sam and offered to stop by to check on him (on a day that wasn’t originally on the calendar). I truly appreciate her doing that! We were in Florida and that helped eased my mind!! We’re already set up to have her take care of him later this summer. Thanks again Jess!”

“Mackenzie has love for any animal. It can be seen by her care for her two dogs, or the small frog that has gotten its way into the yard needing rescued. Any animal in Mackenzie’s care will get the attention that any pet deserves. As her husband, I can see first hand her care for animals; visiting pumpkin patches in the fall isn’t just about the corn mazes, it’s about being with the farm animals, or even the farm cat that happens to walk by and ends up getting its belly scratched - Mackenzie will always find her way to make the animals the feature of any activity. This love has been imprinted on our older daughter who loves her dogs and also loves any animal she comes across.”
